Good Intentions

Summary

I wake up and take in the sun light coming through the sheer curtains. The bright light outside deceiving of the actual temperature outside, I see it reflecting off a layer of new snow. I lay in the bed and look around. The room is familiar, but not mine. I notice I’m sleeping fully clothed so it must have gotten rather chilly in here last night. The room is non gender, only the necessities. A dresser, a chest of drawers, a night stand, bed, lamp, basic desk and a private bathroom.
I sit up and the headache returns, it sits on the back of my of my head. It’s a dull throbbing pain, just enough to cause one to want to lay down again. I throw my legs to the side of the bed and attempt to get up. I stand and my legs are wobbly from lack of exercise. I have no idea how that has happened. I don’t remember being athletic but to look at my body, I am. I wiggle my toes after they touch the hard wood floor, its cold, only telling me that it is definitely cold outside.
I go to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. I know the face only because it’s the same one I saw yesterday. My eyes are eerily familiar, though I have no idea how I know them or why they look at me trying to tell me who I am. My hair cut is crude, and I’m pretty sure this is not my original hair color judging by my eyebrows. I wash my face with warm water and dry it with the provided hand towel. I reach around to feel my aching head and there is a knot there, a kind of large one. The skin has been broken but is almost healed. It feels as though stitches closed a wound there at one time, just by judging the way the skin feels. There a short hairs around the area, it had been shaved
