Good Intentions

Ch13

JIM’S POV
I have entrusted my wife, Lilly, and Meghan with the goings on of daily life with Will. So far they have proven trust worthy and have kept track of everything that goes on with him. His dreams do concern me to some extent but that can always be written off as ‘just dreams’.

Lily assures me she believes him to be ready to help me more with the farm. I welcome the extra set of hands and he’s certainly strong enough. I have been somewhat impressed with his manners and his respect for authority. He doesn’t show much emotion but I know its there, I see it in his eyes.
I did plenty of research on him and his family, his band mates and his extra curricular activities. Although I know he is loved by them, I truly feel I am helping them and others out by taking him as our own. He has lost sight of his original goal and his influence on young girls, incredibly too strong.
Quite the ladies man as I had envisioned the first time I laid eyes on him in the window of the electronics store. I look up each individual girl he has romanced and write it down in case her name is ever brought up.

My reason for North Dakota, all of this. The influences of Hollywood, music and television are far from the frozen fields out here. I’ve made it a point to not have TV or internet. I have gotten a cell phone and it has proven itself to come in quite handy.

The doctor on call is a retired local doctor who I am paying quite handsomely to keep all of this off the books and to never speak of it. He was quite worried at first about the head trauma but worries were put aside once he showed signs of waking up.

I have taken him into town on occasions to have the tattoos removed. This has become quite an undertaking. Most are dark and deep, the quantity of them is another thing in itself. Again, my money is paying for all of this to be kept silent and off any books. Most of them have been partially removed, some are taking longer. We almost skipped one and happened upon it, only by flipping him to gain better access to another. We have decided to leave one, though we haven’t come up with a story to go along with it. I make a mental note to do that.
I decided to have his hair dyed in case someone were to see him, though now its easy to see the roots and his original hair color. It wont be long now and he’ll need another hair cut.
