I Don't Understand
Summary
It's a perfect, early Summer Saturday in 2010, right on the edge of LA.
As I double-checked my packing for the move I thought to myself; A new state. A new neighborhood. A new school. A new home. I don't know how I'll survive. But I snapped from my thoughts as my Mom called up the stairs "ANGELINA!!! Time to go sweetie! I hope you're all packed up, yeah?" I had to laugh to myself a little, even through my grouchy attitude. Mom sounded to stressed. I yelled my reply back down the stairs and soon I was pulling my huge old floral suitcase down the stairs *Thunk Thunk Thunk Thunk Thunk* behind me. This was just my clothes, everything else of mine that I was keeping had been packed in a shiny new trunk, and piled into a moving van that drove away a week ago. The single truck took only what we felt we had to keep from here, and went to go make the house into a home, so it would be ready when we got there. I remember when Mom and Dad looked at pictures and set up the furniture plan so that we wouldn't move into an empty house. Everything would be new. Well, everything except the house. It's ten years old, and I'm almost glad that it isn't new.
Mom and Dad tell stories of how they were star-crossed lovers and ran away from their families together from Spanish California to LA to be married. But now we were moving.
See, Mom's a nurse, and after years, she finally found a nursing job, but it's all the way in Marietta. So I was moving from my home in LA to some house in Ohio. Yay. I think. I had already said goodbye to everybody. everything. My friends, my boyfriend, my Home, my school, my pet canary, my furniture, my posters, my schoolbooks, my life. Goodbye, Angelina's world. I'm regretfully off to Ohio.
*** This is an Alternate Universe (AU) story, but I will be doing my best to portray the One Direction member's actual personalities. Anything stated in this story is not necessarily my opinion and is not meant to be taken offensively. Also, Angelina's life, family, and friends in LA will not be mentioned much at all in this story, simply because that's not the sort of story I am doing this time. I do base my characters off of people in real life. Nearly all dates, ages, heights, and facts are literal and historically correct.

Angelina Bailey Cortez
16 years old when we meet her. Angelina has been nicknamed 'Lina' by her family, but she prefers her pet name, 'Daisy'. Lina is the second oldest of the Cortez children. Five good adjectives for Angelina are: Bubbly, coquettish, under-spoken, easily confused, and easily broken. She's a bit athletic, and did allot of soccer at her old school. She stands at 5'7", and has grey blue eyes, a clear olive complexion, and fine brunette hair, lying naturally wavy down to her waist. Born April 22nd 1994.
Cerena Rose Taylor
15 years old when we meet her. Five good adjectives for Cerena are; thoughtful, open, forgiving, graceful, and outgoing. So she's the girl everybody goes to for advice, a shoulder to cry on, and a hug. She stands at 5'5" and has the darkest blue eyes you've ever seen. she has a warm sun kissed complexion, and gently highlighted brunette hair that falls in unruly corkscrews down to her shoulders. Born December 12th 1994.
Damian Erick Cortez
17 years old when we meet him. Damian has been nicknamed 'Dan' by his family, and he is the oldest of the Cortez children. Five good adjectives for Damian are; insightful, athletic, brotherly, playful, and careful. He plays soccer, and used to take gymnastics, but now he helps teach the youngest class. Dan stands at a tall 6'1", he has brown eyes, a warm olive complexion, and ruffled brunette hair. Born January 26th 1993.
Harold Edward Styles
16 years old when we meet him. The son of Anne Twist & Des Styles, Gemma's only sibling. Most everybody calls him Harry. Five good adjectives for Harry are; Temperamental, outgoing, hot-headed, indecisive, and careful. Harry stands at 5'11", and has inconsistently bright green eyes. he has a warm complexion and long, floppy curls hair that he pushes up or leaves down, depending on the day. Born February 1st, 1994
Katrina Joyce Faye
17 years old when we meet her. Some call her Kat, some call her Trina. Five good adjectives for Katrina are; kind, mature, timely, creative, and inspiring. Katrina stands at a petite 5'3", has bluish grey eyes, a cool peachy complexion, and soft brunette hair cropped into a pixie. Born February 28th 1993
Liam James Payne
17 years old when we meet him. Five good adjectives for Liam are; studious, understanding, gentle, quiet, and friendly. He stands at 5'10", has greenish brown eyes, an olivey complexion, and dark sandy blonde hair. Born August 29th 1993
Lillian Zoe Jean Cortez
New and shining as a copper penny when we meet her, Lillian is the adopted child of the Cortez family, and is called Lilly by most. Lillian is 18 inches long and weighs 5 pounds, four ounces. She has striking blue eyes, a pink complexion, and downy red hair. Born July 4th, 2009 at 4:48 am.
Louis William Tomlinson
18 years old when we meet him. Louis has been nicknamed Lou by his friends. Five good adjectives for Louis are; rambunctious, encouraging, unique, drawing, and dramatic. Louis lives to make Angelina smile, mostly because he's seen her tears. Lou quickly becomes one of Damian's favorite people. He stands at 5'9", has brilliant aquamarine eyes, a golden tan complexion, and sandy brunette hair. Born December 24th 1991.
Misty Spring Raine
16 years old when we meet her. Her friends sometimes call her Stormy, as a bit of a joke. Five good adjectives for Misty are; athletic, feminine, good-natured, amusing, and open. Misty is a dancer, performing in almost every genre possible. She stands at 5'9", has warm mahogany eyes, a cool olive complexion, and caramel hair that falls in loose waves to just below her shoulder blades. Born June 30th 1994. (Please I beg of you. 17 years old when we meet him. Niall has been nicknamed Nialler by his closest friends. Five good adjectives for Niall are; cheerful, hard-working, sunny, gentle, and romantic. Yeah, both introverted and outgoing! Zayn stands at 5'9", and he has big brown eyes, a sunkissed olive complexion, and dark brunette hair that he keeps in an ever-changing hairstyle.
