Melody's POV

I jumped over the back of the couch, using my right arm as leverage. As I ran to the door, I heard one of the boys say something, but I don't know what. I found the door, and sure enough, there was my skate bag. I unzipped the front pocket and pulled out my phone. I had seven missed calls. Four were from my mom, and the other four were from my older sister, Heather and my dad. I called my mom, knowing my dad was working and Heather was in school.
"Melody?" she cried into the phone. "Where are you? Heather told me you didn't come home last night!"
"I'm at the Ramada. I slipped on some ice and hit my head," I explained. "Someone found me and brought me to their hotel room in a shopping cart."
"Who?" she asked, sniffling.
"I don't know. I just woke up and they're not here," I lied. If I told her who I was with, I don't know what would happen.
"I'm going to be there in ten minutes. Wait for me out front."
"No, mom, you don't have to do that. I can walk home," I said nervously.
"No. I'm going to drive you home. I'm not going to let you walk home again," she said. I heard a door close through the phone.
"Mom, I want to stay here and wait for whoever brought me here. They can bring me home. Plus, you're in Minneapolis. The drive would take ages. Or Heather can come get me after school."
I heard someone walk into the kitchen. Probably Niall, looking for more bacon.
"I'll call Dad! He's worried sick. Heather had to make him go to work this morning," she said. "He can go pick you up."
"Mom, Dad's working. Heather's going to get out of school in a few hours. She can come pick me up," I said, crossing my fingers.
"Fine. But you are going to call me every hour, okay? I want to make sure you're okay," she said anxiously. I heard a door close again through the phone.
"Okay. Don't worry, Mom. I'm going to be fine. I know how to take care of myself. And if I'm not okay, I have my skates. They're sharp. And they hurt," I said, still trying to convince her. She treats me like a baby!
"I love you," she said.
"I love you, too, Mom. Bye."
"Bye."
I hung up and turned around, then took a step back and tripped over my bag, falling on my back. I laughed, but nothing came out. Then I realized I couldn't breathe.

Okay, so I guess I'm going to do another Harry POV. It's going to be kind of tricky, though, 'cuz I don't know what he'd say. So sorry if it doesn't sound British.
