Chapter 19
Brooklyn's POV
"Hello?" I said answering the call.
"Hello love, who is this?" He said in a British accent, like the one I had.
"Brooklyn, wouldn't you know that, you called me.."
"O-of course." It seemed like he really didn't know.
"So, who is this?"
"Harry."
"Hi, Harry. How exactly did you get my number?"
"Don't you remember? I met you at the party and you gave me your number."
"Yeah, of course. Sorry I was really drunk at that party."
"It's fine love." Love. He keeps on calling me that.
"So," I took a pause, "what exactly did you call for?"
"I was wondering if we could meet up again."
"Sure, why not."
"How about.. Tomorrow night at eight. Bar 61."
"See you there I guess, I'll be in a.." I scanned my room. "White jacket, pink top."
"See you there." He hung up.
I took a deep breath and thought: "I'm going on a date. Nice."
I told him I was wearing my white jacket and my pink top, so I slipped that on with a pair of dark wash jeans. I walked over to the mirror and checked myself out. It was reasonable. I never really met him. And I wanted to meet him, if he was the one. Emma was coming back tomorrow from the hospital, so I was gonna tell her, or I can just text her.
Brooklyn: hey Emma, guess what!" Instantly I got a reply
Emma: omg what..
Brooklyn: I'm going on a date!
Emma: omg, that's my girl! With who? Spill.
Brooklyn: His name is Harry, a little but weird considering.
Emma: that I met a Harry too? Ikr. I wanna meet yours
Brooklyn: nope.
Emma: Why not?
Brooklyn: Because I didn't meet yours yet.
Emma: fine.
Brooklyn: what about.. We meet them at the same time?
Emma: OMG yes.
Brooklyn: awesome
Emma: well, I gotta go they're putting me in crutches.
Brooklyn: k bye! See ya tmrw!
Emma: BYE!
I closed my phone and laid on my bed again. I held my phone close, took a deep breath, and smiled. I was soo happy.
Harry's POV
I hung up on Brooklyn. I remembered her name now. Niall immediately started taking.
"So... What's her name? It sounded like you asked her to dinner and she said yes. Where are you going to eat?" He said.
"Her name is Brooklyn, she did say yes and bar 61." I answered all his questions.
"You know Emma's relative I met, her name was Brooklyn."
"Hope it's not the same one." I said, I punched him gently in the shoulder and started laughing at the joke. Niall wasn't.
"Well, you know what I say about hope, it breeds eternal misery."
"That's deep." I said. "Well, I gotta go, catch up on the other lads."
"Of course." He said. I hugged him and left in my convertible. The sun was just setting in the sky. A beautiful red sunset was painted over the horizon.
Niall's POV
Harry just left, so I figured to let her downstairs.
"Brooklyn! You can come down!" I said. She quickly ran down the stairs and hugged me.
"Oh my gosh. Thank you... I was soooo bored." She said.
"Welcome."
"I can't wait until Emma comes back tomorrow."
"Me too."
"I'm really tired." She went over to the couch. I followed and sat too. She placed her head down on my knees as I escalated them up. She rested for a couple minutes..
"Niall.." She said calmly.
"Yes?" I whispered. All the lights were off except for the giant lamp stand near the couch.
"Don't get your hopes up, I might reconsider."
"Really.. but don't worry, you know what they say about hope..."
"It breeds eternal misery." We both said in sync. I looked down at her and our eyes locked. She smiled, so did I.
