Chapter 20-Double Trouble
Emma's POV **Several days after**
Niall picked me up from the hospital. I was in crutches, it wasn't so bad, I had been in them once before when I was 14. This wasn't as bad.
"I bet Brooklyn will be excited." Niall said looking over at me.
"Yeah, I bet." I said and smiled. It became this very awkward silence for about 5 minutes until I kinda broke the ice.
"So, you taking good care of Brooklyn?" I was very protective of my twin sister.
"Yeah, she misses you, a lot. But she got really happy because she's going on a date with someone."
"Yeah, she already told me. Harry is his name?"
"Yup, Harry." He looked on the road again. I looked down at my leg, all plastered up, crutches by my side. I looked back up. We weren't far from his place.

We arrived at his place. Niall parked around the corner, he helped me out. I grabbed my crutches and balanced myself on them, walking to the front porch. Niall opened the door as Brooklyn came running down the stairs. I let my hand out for defence, so she wouldn't hug me.
"Oh my gosh Emma! You're back!" She said.
"I know, we can do all the things we wanted to now." I said.
"But not tonight."
"Why not?"
"Cause I'm going on my date?"
"Oh yeah, of course."
"You are SO helping me get ready."
"Of course." I repeated. Brooklyn helped me up the stairs and we went into her room. I placed my crutches by my side and sat on her bed.
"So this is what I'm wearing..." She pulled out her white jacket and pink top out of her closet, along with jeans and these small cowgirl like boots. She placed it on her body and faced her mirror.
"Love it." I said.
"Great because I really want it to be special."
"Special? How so?"
"Well, second loves could last forever.."
"Ahh okay." I didn't quite get it, but I was happy for her. It was 5:00, and her date was at eight. It takes us a while to get dressed, do makeup and hair, all the little fixings so her date would be perfect. She sat down in the chair facing her dresser mirror, another. Another chair was pulled to the side so I could do everything. Brooklyn already had her outfit on, she looked stunning. All her hair needed is some slight curling, then I'd brush it out. The curling iron was plugged in, so I grabbed it and started.
After I was done her hair, I turned Brooklyn's chair around.
"Oh my gosh Emma, this is amazing!" She said.
"Thank you." I was flattered.
"But there's one thing missing."
"Right." I almost forgot. I had to brush it out. I grabbed her brush and brushed it out.
"Perfect." She said. It did look perfect.
"Next for your makeup." I said. I grabbed the pastel kit and makeup brushes out of her makeup bag. I clipped open the blush and powdered it on her cheeks. Next I fixed some light brown eyeshadow above her eyes. The white eye shadow really brightened the brown as I put it on. I got Brooklyn to put the lipstick on herself, since I suck at doing that.
"There, you don't need much." I said. She looked in the mirror again, flattering herself with compliments, then she thanked me with a hug. Me and Brooklyn looked at the clock. It was 7:30.
"You should go now.. Don't wanna be late for your date!" I said. We walked down the stairs. Niall was waiting.
"Is Brooklyn ready?” He said. "Woah." He added as she walked down the stairs with me.
"I should be going now." Brooklyn said. "Bye guys!" We waved her goodbye as she got into our convertible.
"She looked amazing." Niall said.
"Yeah, I'm so happy for her." I said.
"Yeah, guess so." He said with jealousy and guilt in his voice.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"Well, ever since I met Brooklyn, she let me down, I've been trying so hard to get her back, and I think a couple days ago I had this chance but I didn't take it." He said.
"What are you gonna do about it?"
"I don't know, but I'm in love with your twin sister."
