You're Not Alone
Lia’s POV
“Lia! No this can’t be happening! You did not just say that! No no no no!” He yelled in my face.
“Harry be quiet! You’re going to wake Kylie, or worse, attract those things!” I whisper-yelled to him.
“Be quiet this is all your fault!”
Harry’s POV
Oh my god Harry why are you so stupid? Why would you say something like that to her! God Harry you are such a jerk. How could I be so wreck less?
Lia had broken down in tears. Her head was in her hands, and her hands were on her knees. I couldn’t see her face but I knew it was red and her eyes were blotchy from tears. I am such a jerk.
“Lia I’m sorry.” I said as I got closer and wrapped my arms around her. She flinched when I touched her.
“Don’t touch me.” She said through gritted teeth.
“Lia I said I-“ She cut me off when she quickly got up, took her backpack swinging it around her shoulders, and left the cave. I quickly grabbed my backpack, picked up Kylie, and jogged to catch up with her.
“Where are you going?” I asked when I caught up to her.
“I’m going to go find them for you.” She said angrily.
“Lia I-“ She once again cut me off.
“God Harry, you are such a jerk! When can you not think of yourself!? It’s always Harry this, Harry that! I can’t believe I ever kissed you. I thought you were differ-“ I cut her off when my lips smashed against hers.
Lia’s POV
He interrupted my rant when his lips crashed into mine. I have to admit, I wasn’t that angry anymore because it just felt so good. It’s like our bodies were molded perfectly to fit one another. His lips were against mine and his tongue begged for entrance I agreed without hesitation. He wrapped his hand around my waist, while another hand held sleeping Kylie up. My hands immediately made my way to his neck. God I love him.
Harry’s POV
God I love her. But she would never love me back. Like she said I was a jerk and nobody loves a jerk. She even said she couldn’t believe she even kissed me.
“Sorry I said when we both pulled away at the same time. She didn’t say anything. Gosh, did I make her uncomfortable? She’s probably so pissed at me right now. We just kept on walking slowly, silently, awkwardly.
“It’s okay.” She whispered after a couple of minutes.
“What?” I said.
“You said sorry. It’s okay.”
“Oh.” Really Harry? The best you could say is ‘Oh’?
While I was deep in thought she did something that I didn’t see coming at all. She slapped me. Hard. In the face. I put my hand to the spot she slapped me because it was burning. I was positive there was a huge red spot the shape of her hand there.
“What the hell was that for?!” I yelled at her.
“Well…” She said guiltily “I really wanted to forgive you but I had to do that before since you were being a jerk so now you’re officially forgiven.” She said quickly, all in one breathe.
“Yeah because slapping people is the best way to handle things.” I said sarcastically.
“Sorry?” She said, more in a form of a question than anything else. I laughed because I couldn’t say anything else. She was too cute.
“Well we still need to find them.” She said as I put my arm around her shoulder. She pushed my arm off of her and turned so we were now facing each other. She was literally an inch from my face.
“Harry,” She paused “Harry I love you.” She blurted out.
“I know. And I love you too.” I said with a smile on my face. I pecked her lightly on the lips. She smiled a smile of contentment that was soon washed away with worry.
“But Harry, what will happen to us? This is never going to work.”
“I know. But I plan on trying.”
Alfie’s POV
We had just finished putting the final scoop of dirt on the third and final grave. I wiped the new tears from the corners of my eyes and sighed. To make matters even worse, we have absolutely no clue where Harry, Kylie, or Lia were.
“What do we do now?” Louis whispered, crying. “We lost almost everything.”
“I don’t know mate.” I said slowly. “I just don’t know anymore.”
Harry’s POV
We had been walking for a few minutes now and already a million things were running through my mind. Did they make it out? Did they escape the herd? Is everyone still okay? Where are they?
“I bet they’re fine.” Lia said, basically reading my mind. I nodded. I really, really hope so.
Alfie’s POV
“Maybe they went that way.” Louis said pointing to where we just merely escaped that pack of them. Those creatures were probably gone by now since they don’t stick around for too long. It’s worth a shot, I thought to myself as we started heading towards that way.
Harry’s POV
We were heading straight forwards through the woods when I saw something in the corner of my eye. It may be useful I thought as we veered off into that direction.
Alfie’s POV
Up ahead I saw something move. All of a sudden it veers off into a different direction. Oh well, I thought to myself, it’s probably just a deer.
Harry’s POV
Once I veered off I realized it was only just an old nail on the ground. I don’t know if we should go back to the path we were on or just keep moving forward. Oh well let’s just keep moving forward, no need to go back now.
Ten Minutes Later
I heard an unfamiliar song playing somewhere. I looked up and saw Lia silently singing to herself. I decided not to say anything because I really liked the sound of her voice. (A/N Please please please when I start writing the lyrics go look up You’re Not Alone by Marie Miler because that’s how I imagine Lia singing and the song she’s singing) She was looking at her feet while her lovely voice quietly hummed through the forest.
“You have a really nice voice.” I say to her.
“Oh you were listening? I can’t sing.” She said shyly.
“Are you kidding?” She shook her head no.
“You have one of the best voices I’ve ever heard!” I exclaimed. She blushed and tried to hide it with her long chestnut brown hair.
“No really it’s great! And actually could you sing it again this time louder?” I asked.
“No really-“
“Pleeeeeeeease?”
“Harry-“
“Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?” I begged. I gave her puppy dog eyes and she couldn’t resist.
“Fine. But only this one time.” She agreed. She took a deep breath and started to sing.(Play song now!!!)
