Lia’s POV

“We’re going to hit Chicago in an hour!” Ed yelled from the front of the R.V.

Harry and I had just finished our small breakfast of dried cherries. He was about to ask me something but I chimed in before him.

“What are we going to do when we get to Chicago. I mean, it’s obvious that the place is going to be swarming with those things so we can’t just waltz in like we own the place.” I said.

“You’re right. Let me go get the boys and we can discuss that.” He said as he walked off to the bedroom. I then stood up from where I was in the breakfast nook and took a seat on the couch.

A few minutes later five guys walked out and joined me on the couch.

“Lia why don’t you go get Ed and take his place as driver?” Harry said.

I was confused as why he would ask me to do that. “Wait, don’t I need to hear this too?”

“Well so does Ed.” Niall chimed in. All the boys nodded.

“Wait so I’m less important than Ed? I mean I’ve been in the group longer.”

“Lia I didn’t say-“

“Yes you did! I heard exactly what you said! I yelled at Harry angrily.

“Lia-“

“You know what Harry? Just shut the hell up! I get it. You don’t want me here because I’m female. You don’t think I’m qualified to sit here when you talk about your MANLY stuff. I’m just a women I can’t handle myself, isn’t that right? You’re all sexist bastards!” I yelled as I stormed off to the driver’s area.

Ed’s POV

“Get up.” Lia said as she stormed into the driver’s area.

“Umm Lia-“

“Cut the crap and get up.”

“Lia I-“ But yet again she cut me off.

“I said get the hell up. Oh but wait, is it not good for your MANLY PRIDE FOR A WOMAN TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO? IS IT EMBARASSING? IS THAT RIGHT?” She yelled at me.

I didn’t know what her deal was and I really didn’t want to piss her off so I just let her drive. I walked into the living room area to find all five guys sitting around.

“What is her deal?” I asked.

“YEAH THAT’S RIGHT TALK ABOUT ME FORM TWO DAMN FEET WHERE IM SITTING!” She yelled.

‘Oops.’ I mouthed.

The boys silently laughed.

Lia’s POV

I am so done with men. What is their deal? They think that just because I am some GIRL that I can’t do all the things they do. They may say ‘Oh it’s just for your protection’ but I don’t need their protection. I can handle myself on my own. Gosh, since when have I turned into such a feminist?

Harry’s POV

“Wow she went berserk.” Louis said.

“She kind of hurt my feelings when she called us,” He used air quotes, “Sexist bastards.”

We all laughed.

“Well we’re only doing it for her own good, right?” I said.

“Yeah but if I were her I think that I would want to know what’s going on.” Niall said.

“And if,” Louis gulped and tried to say the word, “Eleanor were here then I would want her to be informed.” He said, choking out her name. Zayn put his hand on Louis’ shoulder.

“I guess you guys are right. Maybe we should have her pull over so we could all talk.” I suggested. Everyone nodded their head.

“Umm Ed, could, umm, maybe you talk to her, you know, since, she’s not mad at you?” I said.

“Sure.” He agreed and went to go talk to her. I heard some mumbling then felt the R.V. being pulled over.

Lia walked out with pride on her face. “SO I see that you morons have come to your senses and realized that I am tougher than all of you combined.” She said with a smirk on her face.

“You want to test that theory sister!?” Louis yelled and jumped from where he was sitting.

“Oh yes I do! Harry hold my earrings! She said as she quickly pulled off the blacks studs on her ears. I don’t know why she still wears those. She tossed then to me and then Louis and her went at it.

She kicked him in the stomach and while he was recovering from that, pinned him to the floor. I was impressed.

She got all up in his face and said. “Wanna try again?” He quickly shook his head o then she let go of him. I handed her her earring and she put then back on.

The whole time everyone was laughing and making jokes about Louis.

“Quiet!” Lia shouted, surprising us all. “We need to like about Chicago.” She said in a serious tone. Everyone else quieted down.

“Well?” She said after a few minutes of silence. “Any ideas?”

“Well obviously we’re running low on supplies, so we need to get some of those.” Ed said. (A/N That rhymed.)

“Yeah well how?” Harry added.

“Has anyone ever been to Chicago?” Niall asked.

Everyone was silent until Zayn spoke up.

“I have. I was visiting my aunt.”

“Well mate! You could’ve told us!” Zayn then proceeded to tell us about the city inside and out.

(One Hour Later)

(Still Lia’s POV)

“Guys! You better come and see this!” Ed yelled from the front of the R.V.

We all walk up to the front and look through the giant front window. We were on a little hill overlooking Chicago kind of. On the side there was a sign that read ‘Welcome to Chicago!’ I looked down and saw the whole city was overrun by those things.

“Oh. My. God.” Harry choked out.

“We have to get around this somehow.” Niall muttered.

“Maybe we could kind of go through the woods.” Louis suggested. (I don’t think there are wood near Chicago. I don’t know. Imagination people) I looked to the right and saw the woods.

“That’s the best shot we have.” I said. We all agreed and jumped out of the R.V. Liam held Kylie because we didn’t know if we would come back.

I got my backpack and had my sword in hand. Everyone had their weapon and a back pack. Except Liam. I had a little dagger just in case but no backpack since he was holding Kylie.

We began walking into the woods trying to be as quiet as possible.

(One Hour Later)

There was a huge ruffle of leaves and I knew it wasn’t us. Everybody stopped and looked around. I glanced at Harry and he nodded at me. I didn’t know what it meant but it felt reassuring.

All of a sudden four people were in front of us pointing weapons at us .

“Please don’t hurt her!” Liam yelled as he shielded Kylie.

I had my sword pointed at some guy with black hair and he dropped his gun. This girl with green hair had her gun pointed at Harry. Oh hell no.

“Please put all these weapons down!” I pleaded.

“What makes you think that we trust you?” Another guy said.

“Please? We have a child with us!” I said. I was the one who was talking since everyone else had a weapon to them. On the other hand I had my sword to this guy’s neck.

“Guys this is way out of hand. Obviously they have a child with them and we haven’t even given them a chance to talk.” The guy I threatened said. I like this guy.

“Sam! We don’t even know these people!” The green girl said.

“That’s easy for you to say Lana! You don’t have a sword to your throat!” Sam yelled.

“Fine. Caspar, Jack?” Lana said.

They nodded.

“Alright. One the count of three put everything down.” I said. “One, two, three.”I said as I dropped my sword.

Everybody else dropped their weapons too. I could hear Liam breathe a sigh of relief as he moved out of the front of Kylie.

“Alright.” I said as I sighed. “Explanation?”

“Well I’m Lana.” The green girl said.

“I’m Caspar.” Another blonde guy said.

“I’m Jack.” A short haired dirty blonde said.

“And I’m Sam.” The black haired guy said. He was rubbing a little red spot on his neck.

“Sorry Sam.” I said.

“That’s fine. I would’ve one the exact same thing as you.” He replied. That’s when I noticed it. Everyone had an accent except for us girls. Kylie, Lana, and me.

“Where are you guys from?” I asked.

“Well we were here for Playlist Live.” Sam said. “We’re Youtubers.” Oh my gosh. That’s where I’ve seen these guys before.

“Oh my god. You.. you’re Sam Pepper. I ….. I’m so sorry Sam Pepper. Oh My gosh Sam Pepper!” I said. He laughed and I got a glare from Harry.

That’s when Liam asked our famous question. “What’s your story?”
