Apocalyptic Love

Lia’s POV

Now that those gross guys were gone and the R.V. was all cleaned up it was actually pretty nice. It was clean and fairly new, probably one of the latest models. The furniture wasn’t the newest but it was actually in pretty good shape. Overall a pretty nice place.

I’m lying on the newly cleaned couch and about to fall asleep when…

“Lia Lia! Wanna play go fish?” Said the toddler Kylie.

“Kylie I’m really tired right now. How about later?” I pleaded.

“But?”

“Fine.” I agreed.

“Yay! Thank you!”

“Okay, you’re welcome.” I said as we started our game of Go Fish.

Harry’s POV

We’re going the exact way and direction we were before we found the R.V. except now we’re driving more comfortably. The vehicle is in really nice shape now that we’ve cleaned the thing up. Also the last killer attack we had was a week ago. We have it really easy right now.

“Harry come here!” Louis yelled all the way from the front of the R.V.

I left the room and walked from where I was hanging out with Liam. I walked up to the very front of the R.V. where Louis was driving.

“Yeah?” I asked.

“ We just entered Illinois. One state closer to Maine.” Louis said with a smile on his face.

“Wait what?” I said.

“I said one state closer to Maine.”

“Wait, why are we going to Maine?” I asked.

“We’re going to Maine.”

“Why?”

“Because when we were cleaning I found a map hat had a big red x over Maine and the words ‘Safe Zone’. I asked everyone and they said that that’s the best chance we have.”

“Why didn’t you ask me? Am I not important enough to be confided into these things?” I yelled angrily.

“Jeez Harry I didn’t know that-“

“Whatever Louis!” I yelled as I stormed all the way to the bathroom. I slammed and locked the door behind me and slumped against the shower.

Lia’s POV

Just when Kylie was about to win our game Harry stormed through the room and our cards went flying everywhere.

“Awh! I was just about to win!” Kylie whined.

“You know what? That’s okay. You win. Now go play.” I said as I patted her on the back. She smiled and ran off the started to tell Liam about how she beat me. I smiled and then walked over to the bathroom.

I knocked on the door and stood there.

“What do you want?” Harry mumbled though the door.

“Let me in Harry!” I whisper-yelled.

I heard the door click and then I turned the knob slowly. I walked in and closed the door behind me. I sat down next to Harry and we just sat there in silence for a few minutes.

“What’s the matter?” I asked.

“What do you mean? Nothing’s wrong.” He mumbled.

“So you just storm through rooms and ruin people’s games for no reason whatsoever?” I asked. He chuckled.

“No.” He said.

“Then tell me what’s the matter.”

“I told you nothing.”

“Harry do you seriously think I’m a moron?”

“Fine. It’s just.. just. I don’t know maybe I’m overreacting. But you know how we’re going to Maine?” I nodded. “Nobody told me about it and it kind of makes me feel like you guys think that I’m not an important part of this group. Like I’m some sort of child that can’t handle anything.”

“Harry. I’m so sorry. I thought Louis told you. And if you think that you’re not important then think about this. If it weren’t for you then I wouldn’t be alive right now.” I paused. “ And I can’t thank you enough for that.”

Harry smiled. He looked at me. And I looked at him. And for a long time we looked at each other.

And before I knew it his lips crashed into mine. For a moment I was surprised and didn’t know what to do. Then I fell into him. My arms made their way to his shoulders and his went to my hips. His snaked his tongue into my mouth and mine into his. They danced with each other and it was perfect. Whatever else that was going on with the world around us didn’t matter. All that mattered was that we were together and it was absolutely flawless. My first kiss.

We both pulled away at the same time. He looked at me.

“Sorry?” He said in the form of a question.

“Don’t be. It was perfect.” I said smiling.

He breathed a sigh of relief. “Good because I didn’t know if you were comfortable with me and you know.”

We both smile and leaned on the shower door. His fingers wrapped around mine and he held my hands. We just sat there in contentment. A couple of minutes later I said something.

“Harry?”

“Yeah?”

“That was my first kiss.” I said smiling. I felt tears forming in the corners of my eyes. They fell and raced down my cheeks slowly.

He looked at me. “What’s wrong? Why are you crying? Was I bad? Did I-“

I cut him off and laughed, tears still falling from my eyes. “No. It’s just that I thought I would never have the chance to have my first kiss you know? With the world falling apart I didn’t think that love could still exist.”

“Well I’m glad that I could make you feel that way.” He said smiling. He pulled me closer to him and we sat together with each other and nothing in the world could tear us apart.

One Hour Later.

(Still Lia’s POV)

Harry and I walked out of the bathroom hand in hand. When we opened the door Liam, Zayn, and Louis were sitting on the couch looking at us.

“So?” Louis said. “What were you guys doing in there for so long?” The other guys smirked and tried to hide their laughs.

“I don’t know Louis. Why are you jealous?” Harry said. Zayn and Liam burst into laughter.

“Oh my gosh Harry that was brilliant!” Zayn said in between laughs.

“Need some ice with that burn Louis?” Liam said, still laughing.

I rolled my eyes and Harry and I walked hand in hand to the bedroom.
