Harry’s POV
While we had a lot of fun at the meadow Lia didn’t seem to be feeling the same. She played but it didn’t seem like she was….. there. Like her body was there but the inside was empty or something. I don’t know.
Louis was driving, Niall was in the passenger seat, I was in the middle of the middle row sitting next to Zayn and Lia and Liam and Kylie were in the back row. Lia was staring at the window while Niall and Louis were in an argument about something Pokemon related.
“No Charmander!” Louis yelled from the front.
“Are you kidding me? Charmander? Out of all the Pokemon you choose Charmander? You must be out of you right mind!” Niall yelled back. I heard Liam chuckle behind us.
“The world ends and you two are arguing about Pokemon?” Zayn said. I laughed. (A/N by the way guys I totally ship zarry. Let me know in the comments if u do too:)
“Yes we are Zayn because Niall is being a twat and saying Pikachu is better than Charmander.” Louis said matter-of-factly.
Zayn rolled his eyes at the both of them.
“Anyways let’s get back to the more important stuff at the moment. Like we’re running out of supplies and we need to find something fast. The last place we found which was like two days ago was a complete and utter bust. We didn’t find anything AND a herd came strolling along, trying to eat us.” I said.
“Harry’s right. We’ve got to find something and quick.” Liam agreed.
“Well I’m sorry that I’m not the magic man and can make things pop up out of nowhere.” Louis said sarcastically, rolling his eyes.
“I’m not talking to you in particular Louis.” Liam said.
“Then who are you talking to? Because the last time I checked none of us in the car were magic. Kylie? Do you have secret magic powers that we don’t know about?” Louis said, looking in the mirror at her.
Kylie giggled and shook her head.
“That’s what I thought.” Louis said with a stern look on his face. Kylie just kept on laughing.
“Louis stop joking around. This is serious.” Liam said sternly.
“Oh stop being such a downer Liam.”
“Oh okay we’ll just have fun and then get EATEN.” Liam said. I could feel Lia tense up next to me. Liam noticed too.
“Sorry.” He apologized quietly. She nodded. I punched Liam in the shoulder. He shot me back a glare.
“Anyways….” Zayn trailed off.
“Anyways we need to find something. Anything.” Niall said.
“Well we’re not going to find anything today, it’s getting dark we should probably call it a night.” I said. “What do you guys say?” Everyone nodded except Lia.
“Lia?” I asked.
“What?” She said, oblivious to the whole conversation.
“Should we call it a night?”
“Oh yeah sure whatever.” She said quickly and quietly.
“Okay then.” Louis said. He pulled over from the road and parked behind a patch of oak trees. Zayn opened his door and climbed out. I followed.
We went to the trunk and grabbed six pillows and blankets. We then grabbed Kylie’s quilt, pillow, and favorite stuffed penguin. We then climbed back in.
Everyone had their stuff and I was about to give Lia the extra blanket but then decided to give her my favorite fuzzy one.
“Here.” I said, handing it to her.
“But it’s yours.” She said. I shrugged.
“It’s warmer.” I said. Then she did something I would have never expected of her. She kissed my lightly on the cheek when no one was looking. Then she leaned in closer to me and whispered quietly in my ear so no one else would here.
“Thanks Harry. You’re the best.” As she pulled away she faintly smiled at me. I turned around and though no one noticed I could feel my cheeks burning red.
The Next Day (Still Harry’s POV)
“There is no way in hell that I’m driving again!” Was the first thing I heard as I fluttered my eyes open. The light that was shining through the windows was blinding.
“Liam! You’re driving!” Louis yelled.
“What?” Liam said groggily, rubbing his eyes.
“I said get up here and drive. I drove all yesterday and you haven’t in days.”
“Fine. Just give me a second.”
Soon enough Liam was in the driver’s seat and Louis was in the back playing with a piece of Kylie’s hair. Otherwise everyone else was too lazy to switch.
Beside me Lia was stretching and just opening her eyes. She looked over at me and smiled.
“Good morning.” I said. She just smiled. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around. Louis was smiling and moving his eyebrows up and down. I rolled my eyes.
Lia was next to me and she was putting her medium length light brown hair in a ponytail. Same one she does every day. I suppose it I were a girl I would put my hair up everyday. Just seems easier that way.
When I’m bored I usually start humming and before I noticed it I was humming. Humming ‘Ho Hey’ by the Lumineers. Lia’s favorite song.
She looked over at me and smiled once again. This time showing her teeth. I smiled back and stopped humming.
“Look guys.” Liam said squinting up ahead.
“What is that?” Louis said, also squinting to get a better view.
“It looks like an R.V.” Niall pointed out.
“It does.” Zayn agreed.
As Liam drove closer to the thing on the side of the road I could tell it was obviously a large R.V. It looked abandoned, all the windows were shut tight and there weren’t any locks on the door.
“Do you think anyone’s in there?” Niall asked.
“It looks like it hasn’t been touched in months.” Zayn said.
“Well there might be useful things in there.” Louis said.
And for the first time in the past few days Lia said something loudly and clearly to all of us.
“I’m going.”
