Literal Amnesia
Chapter 2
Calum's POV
“Goodnight Seattle!”I yelled into the mic before the boys and I ran off stage. We were hyped up,sweating,and well,in need of a shower. We all headed into the dressing room.
“Calum,we need to talk.”Adam, our manager, said. It was odd that he was here he should be In Texas. I got up and followed him to the hall.
“What’s up man?”I asked,skipping the hellos,since he seemed serious.
“It’s Lanney.”
“What is she okay?They didn’t…” I shuddered at the thought of her parents coming back and pulling the plug,on their own daughter.On my Lanney.
“No no,nothing like that.” I let out a sigh of relief.
“Then what is it?”
“Calum...She woke up.”I stood there for a moment taking it in,hoping it was true. I’ve dreamed and prayed of this moment. Where my Laney would wake up and everything would be better.
“I-I have to go Adam. I need to be by her side,I-I should've never left her.”
“Don’t worry Cal,we got you a ticket to Australia in one hour. There’s a car waiting for you outside.”
“Thank you. Thank you so much Adam.”I hugged him before running to the back. There were hundreds of girls waiting outside of the gated arena. Luckily Dave,the head of security,was waiting for me. He ushered me in the back of the car and ordered me to lay down,which I did without hesitation. Luckily,I went unnoticed and the car was let through without much attention from fans waiting outside.
The drive was quick,but not quick enough.I needed to get to Australia as fast as possible. My Laney woke up,probably alone and scared.She was probably wondering where I was.And where was I? Off touring the world.How selfish am I?These thoughts filled my head as I boarded the 19 hour plane ride.
I didn't sleep the whole plane ride there.I payed the cab driver and ran through the familiar hallways of the hospital,to Lanney’s room.
“Laney.”I whispered as she just stared at me.”Oh my God you’re awake.” I said going up and hugging her.She didn’t hug me back but I continued hugging her.She was awake and even if she was mad at me, the fact that she was alive was all that mattered.
“I’m so so sorry Laney.”I said letting her go to look at her face more clearly. “I love you so much. Please say something Lane”
“She can’t talk.”The doctor said as he came in.”Nice to see you again Calum.”
“What do you mean she can’t talk?" I said standing and turning to the doctor.
“With time I'm sure she will. We can only wait. We aren’t to sure how much she remembers.
