”Oh, Guys… I think I found them” I heard a familiar voice say from about five yards away. I broke the kiss off while Harry released his hand from my waist as his other hand sneaked around my waist in a tight grip. We were both now standing with big grins. Louis was watching us carefully with a smirk while the other three guys, Eleanor and Danielle were almost jogging after him. They smiled happily when they saw me and Harry.

“Finally!” Niall burst out as he playfully hit Harrys arm. Harry started to blush, which caused me to giggle and to blush as well.

I now realized that all of them were staring at us excited. Really excited.
“Yeah, finally” Harry answered and gave me a wink which caused to make me melt inside. Yeah, finally.

“Should we go back in? There are a couple of class-mates who’s going to play soon. I’d really like to watch them, if it’s okay” Niall said, interrupting the eye-contact of Harrys and mine.

“This is the moment we all lads have been waiting for since the first day of school, so calm down Niall” Zayn said as Louis slightly kicked him on his arm while Harry started to cough and widen his eyes, making some kind of a sign to Zayn.

Wow, since the first day of school? Was he pulling off a joke, was he just exaggerating, or was he simply being serious?

Liam started to laugh to release the rigid atmosphere that had taken its place. I tried to laugh with him, but it just came out wrong. Like some kind of a nervous I-don’t-really-get-it-laugh.

“Uh, yeah… Well, I’d like to join you, Niall! I would also like to see that… Eh… band?” Liam said a bit questioningly. “Yeah, that band…” Niall said with a sigh as he emphasized the two last words.
“Okay let’s go! Lads, are you coming?” Liam asked as he was looking meaningfully at the others while he started to walk slowly towards the room. They all nodded as they followed him.

I turned my head around to face Harry. “Um… maybe we should get going as well?” I asked, but it came out more like a statement than a question. “Yeah, sure” he answered while he flashed his dimples.
He removed his hand from my waist, as he then moved it slightly to my hand. He looked questioningly into my eyes as I nodded. He flashed his dimples once more, as he then tangled his warm fingers between mine. I wanted the whole world to see us. Me and Harry, together.

*** Harrys pov ***
It’s true. I’ve actually been waiting for this very moment since the first day of school. Since the first time I saw her looking at me during that presentation of the assistant principal, Mr Whitney. I’m still getting embarrassed and starting to blush just thinking about it; coming late.
You see, my phone had drained its battery during that night; therefore the alarm hadn’t been able to wake me up. I got really stressed up that morning, because it was the very first day after all, but I just tried to do the best out of the situation.

I think I experienced love at first sight, as soon as she turned around to face me later that day in the auditorium.
Her heart-shaped face, her perfectly ocean-blue eyes, her thick beautiful blonde hair, her lips in a perfect shape… I could go on like this forever, she was living perfection.
She’d been trying to start a conversation with me several times, but somehow I always managed to complicate things. I’ve always been a little jealous of her and Louis, because they’ve always had that special connection I’d only dream for us to have as well. As hard as I tried, I just couldn’t. My mind and my heart didn’t really work on the same page, if you know what I mean.

And when I saw how that guy made her laugh earlier during prom, I felt a heavy lump in my stomach. I had never managed to make her laugh like that, and how long had they known each other now again? Yeah, I guess for like ten minutes.

Honestly, I never thought of us ending like this. Of course, I was hoping for it, but let’s be realistic.



“You shouldn’t have said that Lou, they’ll have to get to know each other more before we make jokes or tell each other stories like that…” We both heard Liam say as we were slowly walking towards them. I guess he hadn’t thought of the idea that we’d join them so soon.
“Guys…” I mumbled embarrassed as Liam turned around and blushed. “Sorry…”
Gosh, could this get any worse?

“It’s okay. Um… I have to go and… powder my nose. I’ll be back in five, okay?” Sarah said giggling as she looked questioningly at me. “Oh yeah, of course” I said confirming with a nod. I released her hand from mine, though I really didn’t want to let her go yet. I would keep holding her hand, kissing her and feeling her body against mine, if you’d ask what I truly would want.
She turned away with a smile on her lips, as she headed towards the girls room.

“Um… We need to powder our noses as well” Eleanor said incredulously. “We do?” Danielle asked confused. “Yeah, we do.” she answered. “Oh, okay…” Danielle said, still confused.
Eleanor soon grabbed Danielles hand as she dragged her away.

Wait, is there something going on?
“Wow, what was that?” Zayn asked, also a bit confused. “I have no idea. I guess that’s what they do or what they say when they need to have a private girl-talk” Niall said, and I guess he’s right.
“Yeah, probably. But hey, guys I really need to ask you to stop embarrassing me!” I said, more as a statement rather than a question.
“Okay, okay… But it’s so hard when you guys are so cute together and all!” Louis said as he fluttered with his eyelashes and smiled, trying his best to look cute, which caused me and the others to laugh.
“Whatever, just stop. Okay?” I said, trying to sound serious, but deep inside I was laughing and feeling warm because of the confirmation I just got.
“I’ll try my best, but I can’t promise you anything, as I said earlier!” he answered while he was still fluttered with his eyelashes.
“Mate, we promise you to stop” Niall said, speaking for the other guys.
“Thanks lads” I said with a smile.

*** Sarah’s pov ***
“Guys, stop asking me so many questions, please” I was almost begging them. We had been inside the girl’s room for… at least more than five minutes. Eleanor and Danielle had chosen to follow me, and they had bombed me with questions ever since they took their first step into the girl’s room. I just went here to clear my thoughts and to fix my makeup. I only managed to do the last thing though.
“We’re sorry, Sarah. It’s just… that we’re all so excited. Honestly, we’d never think you’d pull it off because of Harry being so shy when it comes to girls he likes. And the thing is that he really, really likes you and-“ Danielle broke herself off as she realized that she’d revealed too much. Eleanor widened her eyes
Wow, does he like me?
Of course you dumb-ass, why else would he kiss you and hold you like that?
But I guess I just needed to get it confirmed. He likes me.
“What she’s trying to say, is that… look, this has never really happened to Harry, and he’s just like our little brother. So we’re just really excited for you guys right now. But we’ll promise you to slowly back off, okay?” She said seriously. “Yeah, we promise!” Danielle said confirming it. “Okay” I said, not quite sure if they were really serious about the whole back-off-thing, but I really hope so.

We soon went back to the guys. The prom had reached its ending, and it was time to say goodbye. We were all standing outside, hugging each other. When it was Harrys turn, we hugged each other a lot longer, as if we didn’t want to lose each other. A whole night without him by my side, how would I be able to survive?
Well, I’ve survived at least 18 years without him, I guess I would be able to handle just another night. But I’ll really miss him, I’m aware of that.
He then looked into my eyes. “Goodnight Sarah” he said, it almost came out as a whisper. “Goodnight” I said as I hugged him once more.

I couldn’t believe it. A couple of hours ago, I could only dream about this night ending like this.

I'm sorry for the long waiting, I've been writing different parts every night. I really want this story to be as well-written as possible, I hope you understand. But I promise you that I'll try to speed up the tempo, okay?
