I will always choose you
Chapter 22
“Hi beautiful” Harry said as his warm hand was searching mine. I love his voice, it’s so dark and raspy, and every time I hear it I somehow feel safe.
Cheesy, I know. And also the fact that I haven’t thought of him in this way before. But after our first kiss, and during that same night (while I was lying in my bed, thinking), I really realized that I’ve had feelings for him all this time. I’m just a bit too scared it’ll end up like it did with Mark, though I know that he doesn’t seem like that kind of guy. But you never know, right?
“Hi” I answered simply with a grin as I glanced towards the clock. We had a break for ten minutes, and then later on I had a math-class. Ugh, I wanted this school-day to end so bad.
“Hi beautiful, to you too!” Louis said jokingly, which caused all of us to start laugh.
“Sorry… Hi guys” Harry said correcting himself, while he was scratching the back of his head with his hand blushing.
It didn’t take long time until the boys started to talk and laugh with each other.
It has gone a whole week since prom. If I can be honest; things have really gone fast forward, which may partly be a good thing, and partly be a bad thing. I don’t want to rush anything between Harry and me, and then ruin things between us. You know what I mean.
The boys have been acting like usual though, except the fact that Harry has been talking and joking around a lot more recently (though the most of his jokes are pretty bad). You can really tell that he has opened up a lot.
There’s something special about this boy. I’ve never really experienced this feeling with Mark before, and we’ve been together for a very long time.
“Um, I think I need to go and get my books. I’ll be right back, okay?” I said, as I realized that I had forgotten the about the clock while I had been drowning in my own thoughts.
They all nodded as an answer.
“I’ll come with you” Harry said, not as a question. I smiled towards him, telling that I was okay with it, though I don’t really think he cared about my opinion of him following me.
He was still holding my hand tightly, as we walked down the corridor towards my locker.
I was now unlocking it and took out my math-books.
“What do you think about going back to my place after school?” he asked with a smirk.
I don’t want to rush anything, as I mentioned earlier. So should I? What if it leads to one or another? What if something goes wrong?
Okay Sarah, stop being so negative! “You only live once” they say, so what the heck.
“Yeah, sure” I answered as I smiled.
“If I remember it correctly; you’ve got math now, yeah?”
“Yeah” I said as I locked the locker and we started walking towards the other guys slowly.
“Well, I’ve got a history, so I guess I’ll meet you up in the parking lot afterwards okay?”
I nodded with a smile.
I had already done the math-task for today, so I was sitting and doodling ugly flowers and hearts in my book instead, trying to make the time go faster. Suddenly I felt how it vibrated in my pocket; I had gotten a text. But since I’m in class, I don’t really dare to risk the teacher taking my phone. So I decided to check the message later on, since I’m almost 100% positive that it isn’t something really important. Or I guess it shouldn’t be, or else I’d receive numerous texts, not only one, right?
Or at least that’s how I do it. If there’s something important I had to tell my friend, I’d spam. Or maybe that’s just me…
Okay, back to reality! I kept doodling and counting down the seconds until the end of the day.
Zero point zero five hours left.
Three minutes.
A hundred and eighty seconds. Seventy nine, seventy eight, seventy seven…
Ugh, why so slow?!
Finally the bell started ringing, and I packed my things and hurried my way over to the parking lot.
When I walked out of the door, I suddenly heard a familiar voice. “Missed me sweetheart?”
I freezed. My body felt cold as stone, and I also felt how a lump in my stomach started to build itself up.
It wasn’t the voice of the boy I was searching for.
Mark.
