Pretty Girls Hide Pain So Deep Inside

Ashton came back into the living room with blood on his hand and shirt. Everyone present was looking at him.

- What the fuck happened? Is that...is that blood? - Romeo asked.

They were all alarmed.

Calum lightly pushed Nikki off his lap and approached Ashton, along with the rest of the boys.

- Ashton, whose blood it that? - Blue asked him.

- Luke's... - Ashton said quietly. - Luke's the one that got Hope pregnant.

The guys all looked at him wide eyed.

- What? No. Luke wouldn't do that. - Romeo tried to reason.

- That son of a bitch. -Calum was pissed.

Calum's jaw was clenched. The anger was boiling in him.

Hope and Luke were still on the balcony. They were sitting on the couch. Hope ripped the bottom of her shirt and was using it to wipe the blood from Luke's nose.

- How could I let this happen? - She asked, rhetorically, with tears in her eyes.

Luke had his head leanead back, trying to stop his nose from bleeding. He wasn't saying anything.

Suddenly, the balcony door burst open. Calum was walking towards them, anger boiling in him.

- You motherfucker. - He practically screamed at Luke.

Hope hurriedly got up.

- Calum, please don't. - She begged him, her voice weak.

Calum didn't even bother looking at her. His venom filled eyes were focused on Luke and only Luke.

Luke got up, but Hope wouldn't let him get past her. She was separating the two of them with her body.

- I thought you were my best friend. - Calum yelled. - And then you go and fuck my fiancee behind my back.

In that moment, Blue, Romeo and Michael stepped outside onto the balcony. They ran over to where the three of them were standing. The only ones missing this scene were Ashton and Nikki.

- Calum, calm down. - Blue tried to reason with him.

- How could you do that, huh? - Calum's voice echoed.

He clenched his fist and raised it.

Before he could do anything, Blue and Romeo held him back. He was trying with all his might to get out of their grip, but it was too strong.

Michael was standing on the side, just watching the events unfold in front of him.

- Calum, please. - Hope said.

He finally looked at her.

Tears started rolling down her cheeks.

As much as he hated what she and Luke had done, he couldn't stop his heart from aching once she started crying.

- I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. - She said through tears.

She knew saying sorry wouldn't fix anything or undo what she had done, but she didn't know what else to say. What could she possibly say to make things better?

Calum's body relaxed. He was holding back his tears. He didn't want her to see him that way. He didn't want to show her that he still cares.

- Sorry doesn't mean shit. - He told her.

He tried really hard to keep any emotion away from his voice and face, and he succeded.

He yanked his body away from Blue and Romeo. They were about to grab him again, fearing he might go after Luke, but he didn't. He turned around and, without a single look back at them, left.

Michael went after him.

Soon, Hope was the only one left there.
