Just a Little Kiss

"How's this one?" Chrissy said holding out yet another outfit for me.

"What am I, going to exchange it at a thrift store, if so it's a definite yes." I said giving her a pointed look.

Chrissy let out a big sigh, "Well you can't go completely nude, and at the rate you're going that's how you'll be going, thats what it seems like. Just pick something and wear it!"

"Chris, I told you: I do not want to go dancing with you," I said looking back at the magazine in front of me.

"Please Lia, I need you," Chrissy whined.

"Chrissy I told you, I'm laying low for a while," I said not looking up at my friend.

"But that doesn't mean you need to be such a buzzkill, come on," Chrissy said walking over to me.

"My answer is still no," I said.

"Fine then," Chrissy said and began to exit my room, but not before turning and waving a shiny item at me, "Oh I just want you to know that you won't be getting this back until you agree to coming with me."

I squinted my eyes at the device, "Chris, is that my phone?"

She just giggled at me mischievously.

"Hey give that back!" I yelled and jumped up of my bed ready to chase her, if it was for the unfortunate fall I had tripping over some of the discarded clothes on my bedroom floor.


"Nice try, but if you want it back all you have to do is have a little fun," Chris said smirking in victory.

"Fine! I'll come!" I said getting up and rubbing my sore behind, "But I am not wearing that monstrosity you call a dress.

"Fine by me," She said and spun around heading to her room, "Ooo we are going to have so much fun!"

This was going to be an interesting night.

"Chris I'm going to get some air," I said to my intoxicated friend.

I heard a faint, "Bye-bye Lia," as I searched for the fire escape door.

Upon finding it, I opened the fire escape door located at the opposite end of the club which lead into an alley way, that is after a lot of jiggling of the handle.

I breathed in the fresh air once outside of the packed club. I walked over to the opposite wall and leaned against it sighing and kicking off my heels and allow my feet to make contact with the rough gravel.

I looked up at the stars, which were not hidden by the clouds as they usually were. I looked up in awe of the beauty of the luminous bodies above me.

The door creaked open, it was obvious it was not used often by the sound it made when opening.

I diverted my attention from the stars, to the door to see him approaching me.

"You know I'm beginning to think you're stalking me," I said, not once taking my eyes off him.

"Well you leave a guy with a kiss like that and he is bound to want more," He said and leaned on the wall alongside me.

I simply smiled.

"You know I never quite caught your name," He mused.

"Well I didn't give it to you," I said in response.

"Are you always this coy?"

"Are you always this inquisitive?" I retaliated.

He chuckled at my response before turning to me.

I don't know what over came me, but once again I found my lips meeting his. His arm snaked around my waist, pulling me closer and deepening the kiss. Before things got carried away I placed my hand on his chest, pushing it so as to give us distance.

"I'm starting to think kissing you is more trouble than it's worth," I said looking at him.

"Fuck, you'll be the death of me you know that?" He smirked and turned and walked back towards the door, but not before turning around one last time, "Answer the calls."

I shook my head, and turned my attention back to the stars. He wasn't worth it. I recited in my head.
