Just a Little Kiss

"No mother," I sighed into my phone's receiver.

After a lengthy day of lectures, I had no energy to deal with my hysterical mother. Of course she heard. The kiss was plastered over every form of communication possible. And my mother did not need an excuse to begin meddling with my love life.

"But Lia, I have to meet this young man, he's dating my daughter for pete's sake ," She insisted.

"Mom, you're not listening," I said shaking my head, "ok, I'm going to hang up now, I will call you when you have calmed down."

"Lia don't you dare -" She began but was quickly cut of by the end call button on the house phone, which I was not hesitant to press.

I turned back to Chris, who gave me a questioning look, to which I simply replied with a shrug.

"So what are we watching today?" I asked picking up the remote.

"A year that never ends, It's a horror and it has a one star rating on IMDB," Chrissy said, "Hold on a sec, let me get the popcorn."

Chrissy got up off the sofa and walked to the kitchen is search of our movie snacks.

Chris and I had started this game where, we would watch some terrible movie, with our own added commentary of course. We would make fun of everything, from the actors to the setting.

Terrible horrors where the best to make fun of, because of the plot holes they contained.

Chrissy returned and handed me my cellphone, "Here it's been buzzing off the hook Lia."

I took it, confused as to why it was buzzing so much.

I checked my screen to find several messages from an unknown number.

I opened the latest one to see:
