Just a Little Kiss

Lectures and Strangers

"Lia, wake up," Chrissy's annoying sing song voice rang through my bedroom. Me, being the typical non morning person found it annoying, grunted and turned over and continued to ignore her.

"So help me Lia if you do not wake up in the next 5 minutes, I will waterboard you," Chrissy said in a threatening tone.

"I'm up," My voice muffled by the pillow, but it was a good enough response for Chrissy as she chirpily walked to the shower at the end of the hall.

I dragged myself out of bed and put on the raggedy bed slippers that sat on the side of my bed. I blinked slowly while staring at the wall in front of me. First day of lectures, yay. Seeing as how I could barely get myself to wake up, I knew I would have a hard time staying awake in my lectures.

By the time I began to prepare a bowl of cereal for myself, Chrissy's voice could be heard through the apartment accompanied by several false notes. I walked over to the fridge and reached for the milk to find there was nothing there.

"THERE'S NO MILK," I yelled at my roommate, the obvious finisher of the milk. Sighing I resigned to eating a milk-less bowl of rice crispies.

I was about halfway through when Chrissy finally exited the bathroom and walked into the kitchen wondering what I was going on about.

I glared up at her while slowly chewing the dry grains of rice.

"Oops, I forgot to tell you I wanted to run out to get some last night," Chrissy said.

"Yeah the night you conveniently wanted to go to a club," I said rolling my eyes at her.

"Whatever, oh by the way there have been a number of calls and missed messages for you on the answering machine... they sound pretty desperate," Chrissy said as she walked to her bedroom, "you should answer them."

"Oh so we're listening to each others messages now? How come I wasn't informed," I said glaring, once again, at my too friendly roommate.

"Oh what ever it's not like it contained anything remotely interesting anyways," She said rolling her eyes before slamming the door shut.

I sighed too and left the counter to prepare for a day of long lectures.

---

"Is it just me or has Mrs. Kengsinton gotten more dull during the break?" Zack asked me as we walked the hall that lead to my apartment.

"Nope, I didn't think it was possible but she proved me wrong," I said shaking my head.

"She really needs to get some action into her life," Zack muttered.

"And by action you mean?" I said looking at Zack concerned about his innocence.

"Oh you know what I mean," Zack said winking at me.

I rolled my eyes laughing at his dirty mind, until we were abruptly interrupted.

"So you're whose keeping Lia away from me," A voice spoke. A voice I knew.

Notes

I sincerely apologise for the delay in updating. It's just that school has basically been stealing chunks of me.
