Whiskey Lullaby UNDER EDITING!!

‘’Harry, you’re back. Honey.. I apologize for Khloe’s comments.’’ Kris says as I walk through the kitchen door and make my way back to the table. ‘’Its alright..’’ I mumble back and she smiles gently as I sit down and sit Lily on my knee like before, my arm around her and my hand on her stomach.

‘’Um.. so.. Mom, what’s for dinner?’’ Kim asks, breaking the awkward silence that set for a few moments. ‘’Chicken and pasta.’’ Kris replied causally. ‘’Dada.. dada.. dada..’’ Lily whines lightly.

‘’What’s wrong babe?’’ I whisper as I lean down to her ear. She just groans and tries to wiggle out of my grip, but I wasn’t letting her go anywhere. Then I remember, she’s probably a little hungry.

I sigh as I lean down to the side, reaching for her bag. I grab it and sit it on my other leg. ‘’Kendall.. can you help me here?’’ I sigh gently. ‘’Yeah. C’mere Lily.’’ She says sweetly as she takes Lily from my arm.

Now that my lap was currently free, I sit the bag there and unzipped it. I stick my hand in the main compartment and I search under her extra clothes for the bottle I had ready already before we left.

Excuse me, the sippy cup. Katie and I are trying to break the bottle from Lily, but she doesn’t quite understand the whole cup part of the new item in her life. And besides, I wouldn’t blame her one little bit. But its good for her health, and if we didn’t break her from the bottle, she would have bad teeth. At least that’s what the doctor said last month during her check up, which I volunteered to take her to since Katie had to work.

“Does Lily still use bottles?’’ Kris asks me. ‘’Um.. sometimes. We’re trying to break it now, actually.’’ I tell her. ‘’Oh, that’s a hard one to do.. my kids hated it.’’ She tells me with a smile as I glance up and nod, I know the feeling.

I didn’t mind Kris’s or Kim’s or anyone’s questions about Lily or about myself, or my life. I just don’t want to deal with Khloe any longer than I possibly have to. Besides, she never tries to be nice to me, so why should I attempt to respect her in any way at all?

Ah ha! I mentally give myself a high five, I knew I’d find that damn cup. It was at the very, very bottom of the bag. I fed Lily her actual dinner before I had gotten her dressed earlier, but she likes to drink those milkshake things, the healthy ones of course.

I take the cup out and zip the back up as I sit it on the table. As soon as it was revealed to Lily’s eyes, she instantly wanted it. ‘’Dada! Dada!’’ She whines out as she tries to reach and grab it, obviously she couldn’t though.

‘’Hold on, love.’’ I tell her as I glance over at her, her pouty face on. She was such a kiss up, but hey I don’t mind. It was adorable, and cute of course. I put the bag back on the floor and I take the cover off the cup off and sit it down on the floor beside the bag.

Lily’s pacifier has gone missing, not a surprise. ‘’Dada.’’ She mumbles as Kendall hands her to me. I take her gently like I always do and I sit her on my leg so that her legs where dangling between my thighs, I didn’t close them so her legs wouldn’t get squished.

‘’Look at Daddy.’’ I tell her and she looks up at me, her eyes so beautiful. Her dimples revealed as she smiles up at me. ‘’I love you, Princess.’’ I tell her with a smile as I lean down and peck her lips gently. ‘’Dada..dada.’’ She says as she reaches up for my lip.

I let her grab my bottom lip and she digs her fingernails into the sensitive skin. ‘’Ow, love.’’ I laugh gently to her as I grab her small wrist carefully and pull her hand off my face. She giggles as I tickle her tummy with my fingertips.

‘’You want this?’’ I ask as I grab the cup and show it to her. She looks at it and her eyes grow wide and she nods. ‘’Dada.. Dada! Mine!’’ She says as she grabs for it again. ‘’Here.’’ I hand it to her and she struggles to keep it in the air as she attempts to drink from it.

She’s doing okay I guess, holding it up with both hands. I see her cheeks hallow as she tries to suck on it. But she soon stops, aware that it won’t work that way. But before long, like usual, she had the hang of it for now and continued taking small sips of it before returning it to her mouth each time.

‘’She’s so cute.’’ I hear Kim say. ‘’She’s adorable.’’ Kris replies. ‘’She’s beautiful.’’ Kendall sighs, I could tell she was smiling though. ‘’She’s very precious.’’ I hear Kourtney remark. ‘’She’s cute.’’ Kylie adds. ‘’She’s.. okay I guess.’’ I heard that voice I hated to hear so much say.

‘’She’s more than okay.’’ Kendall fires back. ‘’Girls.’’ Kris sighs, annoyed just like me. I appreciated Kendall’s support, and the other girls’ too, especially earlier about the whole sex thing.

‘’My opinion is my opinion, Kendall.’’ Khloe replies. ‘’Mom.. I think the oven beeped.’’ Kim says, trying to cut the topic off and I thank her for that actually. “Oh, let me look.’’ Kris says before getting up and making her way over to the stove.

“Harry.. what is she drinking?’’ Kim asks me as she looks past Kendall to me. I look over at her and reply, ‘’PediaSure milkshake thing.. she loves them.’’ ‘’It looks like it.’’ She smiles back, referring to the amount of liquid in the cup decreasing a little. I nod back before looking down on Lily as she sat in the same position as before I had given it to her.

‘’Okay guys! Dinner’s ready!’’ Kris says from the stove as she pulls a pan out of the bottom tray. ‘’Kim.. Kourtney, can I get some help?’’ She adds. Kim and Kourtney stand up and go over there to her to assist on whatever she needed them for.

But as for me, I just sat and watched Lily look up at me and smile before continuing to drink the milkshake thing time after time. I would smile back and wink, she’d just giggle a little.

I wouldn’t change my life at all. If I could go back and change anything I’ve ever done, it would be trying to change anything I’ve ever done. I don’t regret anything.. except for leaving Katie.

But it I hadn’t done that.. there’s no telling what pain or what pleasure our lives would be at this moment in time.

But I know right now, with my little girl… its pleasure in my heart that keeps me going. The pain might slow me down at times, but the pleasure is worth it in the end.
