“Hey Haize…” Luke’s voice rang through the hallway as I walked into the house.

“Did you see that?” I bit my lip and smiled, making her nod.

“Yeah. I also know that someone is waiting for your presence on thy telephone.” She smiled at me and I cocked an eyebrow.

Why would Jax being calling me if he just left? Maybe he just forgot to tell me something.
I smiled when she pulled the phone out from behind her back and waved it in my face.

“You just saw me. Why are you calling me now?” I said when I placed the phone to my ear. I smiled to myself and shook my head.

“The only possible way I could’ve saw you is if you were in the courtroom.” I widened my eyes and Luke nodded her head, but I walked into a different room and shut the door.

“Harry? What… How long have you been waiting to talk to me?” I paced back and forth in the corner of the room and I heard him chuckle.

“Darling, I’ve been waiting to talk to you as long as you’ve been waiting to talk to me. Besides, this is the only call I can have until next month. And I wanted to make it last. I just really wanted to hear your voice. I miss seeing you everyday actually.” Something about that brought tears to my eyes and I immediately felt guilty about Jax.

“Harry you don’t deserve to be in there.” I snapped and he sighed.

“I know I don’t. But apparently Julian wanted me to stay in here because he tried everything he could to keep me in custody.” He sighed again and I chewed on my bottom lip.

“Do you want me to come down there?” I asked, putting my hand on my forehead and sitting on the bed in the room.

“No no no. Absolutely not. Listen Haize,” Even though it hasn’t even been a month since Harry’s been gone, to hear him say my name sounds so foreign and it hurts to listen to him. “This is as frustrating as it can get, and there is no way in hell that I am bringing you into this. I know you were there and you saw it all, but I just don’t want you to come here.”

“Okay. If you don’t want me to, I won’t.” Luke opened the door and sat down on the bed beside me.

“Haize. You need to tell him you were out with Jax.” She whispered in my ear and my heart sank at the mere thought of what his reaction would be.

“God Haize, I really do miss you. You know that right?” The longing in his voice made my eyes form tears again, and I sucked in a breath.

“Yeah. I really miss you too Harry. I honestly do. I mean, who else is going to pick on me since you’re not here?” I laughed at myself.

He chuckled, “Well I’m sure you’ll find someone in your English class who will pick on you. And speaking of which, I don’t want to pick on you anymore. It doesn’t do me any good, and you don’t deserve any of it.”

I let my tears fall and Luke nudged on my arm and I nodded my head.

“And I have to tell you something important Haize.” He cleared his throat and I sucked in another breath.

“I went on a date with someone.” I spat out and covered my mouth as soon as I did.
He was silent for a minute, but he cleared his throat again. “With who?” He was furious, and it was clear in his tone.

“Um, you know him.” I nodded my head and I heard his breath shaking.

“I know him? Do you know how hard it is to love a woman who is more than likely replacing you? Do you know how hard it is for me to want to hold you even though I can’t. And I just want to know who’s doing it instead of me. So,” He took a deep breath and I wiped away my tears. “Who did you go on a date with Haize?”

I took a deep breath before saying, “Jax Daniels.”

And he didn’t even say anything. He just stood there in silence.

“Harry I’m sorry. I didn’t even want to go on a date with him. But I did, and I felt guilty when I found out that you were the one who had called me tonight. I am so sorry.” Still nothing. “Harry please say something.”

But then I started to cry harder when I came to realize, he had already hung up.
