So, after first period I went to second, right. Jax is in my second. Oh and all of my classes. Should that be a problem? Maybe not.

And every class he had to introduce himself, which pretty much got on my nerves. And I think it might have got on his too.

“God I am so tired of this.’ He grated when he sat down in front of me.

I ignored him because for some reason, I was waiting for that boy to walk in and sit down in the back. You know, the one that used to bully me, and the one that I still love.

I shook my head and put my hands on my forehead.

“Someone seems a little cranky.” Jax muttered and I snapped towards him.

“Yes, I am cranky as a matter of fact.” I sighed and he let out a chuckle.

“Why? Did you find out that one of your drama queen friends likes your crush?” He started to laugh again.

I mocked his laugh. “Okay first of stretch, I don’t have a crush on anyone at this school. And secondly, I don’t have any friends because I am not popular.”

He leaned towards me, “We can change both of those problems real quick.” He raised his eyebrows and I push his face away.

Then he chuckled and turned around.

“I thought you didn’t like people.” I leaned forward a bit and he turned back around towards me.

“I don’t.” He smiled and I shook my head.

“Well I’m a person.”

“Oh baby you’re not just any person.” Is this guy serious?

“Is that seriously your way of flirting?” I laughed and he scoffed.

“What if I’m not flirting? What if I’m just naturally nice?”

“I don’t think you’re naturally nice.” I shook my head and he looked down.

“Yeah you’re right. I’m not. Maybe you’re just very flirtable.” He winked and let out a hearty laugh when I scowled at him. “Come to dinner with me tonight Haize.”

“No!” Absolutely not. No, no, no, no… NO.

“Why not?”

“Because. I just can’t.” I shook my head and he smiled.

“Why can’t you? Name one reason why you can’t.” He smirked at me and I shook my head again.

“Because I…” I trailed off and just looked down.

“Oh wait. Ha, let me guess. You have a lover out there somewhere and you don’t want to fall in love with someone else just in case he finally comes around.” He leaned forward and said, “Well get this honey. If he’s not around at the moment, then he sure as hell won’t be around in the end.”

Then the bell rang and I stood up from my desk and stormed out of the classroom. I wanted to cry because what he said was true…

“And now you’re just going to walk away?” He grabbed my arm and I wiped at my eyes. “Oh come one Haize Jones. You know better than that.” He stopped when I wiped at my eyes again. “Aw, don’t cry. Why are you crying?”

“I’m not.” I went to walk away again, but he grabbed my arm once more.

Then he leaned in close to me, “Learn to accept the truth.” I looked at him and he smiled. “If you don’t want to come to dinner with me tonight, don’t think of it as a date. Think of it as two human beings just trying to get to know each other better as they are surrounded by delicious food and drinks.”

I sighed and looked down. “Fine. Just back off of me okay.”

“Fine. But I won’t back off once we hit the surrounding drinks. I’ll text you and pick you up at 8.” He then winked and walked away.

What? Why? Why did he do that? Apparently he knows about my troubled, lost I-don’t-even-know-if we’re-dating man. So why did he beg me to go on a date with him?

You know what? That’s it. I am sick and tired of these boys. I am done.

Oh God who am I kidding? I am girl. Nothing is going to stop me from getting the man I deserve. It’s just that… All I have to do is find him.
