Roses & Wallflowers

I stormed up to a laughing Julian and shoved him into the lockers behind him.

“This is your fault!” I gasped, tears burning my eyes.

He put his hand on my waist and I pulled away from him, shaking my head. “Isn’t this all my fault Haize? I’m pretty sure I’m the reason that you got put up for adoption-”

“How did you know about that?” I hissed.

“I do my research honey.” I crossed my arms and he tapped his chin. “Now where was I… Oh yeah. And I’m the reason that you’re little friend is dead, and I’m the reason that your lover boy is going to die in jail.” He gave a proud smile and tears fell from my eyes.

“What kind of sick person are you?” I shook my head and wiped my tears away.

But then I felt a strong grip on my forearm and I snapped my head towards the pain. There was a boy with black hair and he was holding my arm.

“And who do you think you are? Coming up to me and grabbing me like that?” I snapped towards the boy and he let out a hearty laugh.

“Who do you think you are? Mouthing off to me like that?” He grated in my ear and fear swept through me.

Julian shook his head. “Hanson, let go of her.” Then Julian put his hand on my jaw and I pulled away from him. “I love how you don’t want to do what I want. But, you are a girl so it’s hard for you to listen. I’m going to let you go easily. So, scamper along you tramp.”
I scoffed and he pushed me away from him, making me shake my head and walk away and to my next class.

I lifted my head up to face the teacher when I was seated and a boy walked into the class. He had brown hair and brown eyes. He reminded me a little too much of Mason, and my tear ducts felt like they were going to act up again.

“Class, we have a new student. Please introduce yourself.” The teacher said and I sighed when he slipped his glasses off.

“Hi. My name is Jax Daniels.” Is it coincidence that his name is close to Jack Daniels? Maybe not… “And I am from Nebraska. I don’t like people, so I don’t like you.” How straight forward can you get?

“Okay Jax. Please have a seat.” The teacher looked confused, and I couldn’t help but laugh.

He then descended towards the back of the room, but he stopped, and sat down in the seat that Julian was supposed to be sitting in.

But then Julian came walking into the classroom and I let out another sigh.

“Excuse me new kid, but you’re in my seat.” I heard Julian say to Jax behind me and I rolled my eyes and turned towards them.

“Am I supposed to care?” Jax said and my jaw dropped.

“Uh yeah, this is my seat.” Julian hovered over Jax and grabbed his shirt.

Then Jax stood up, and he literally towered over Julian. “What makes you so sure? I believe this is my seat now.”

“Either you let me sit in my seat or-”

“What could you possibly do to me? I am twice the size you are, and quite frankly Julian, we both know that I could kick your-”

“Boys. Calm down, and take your seats.” The teacher interrupted and Julian growled, walking to the empty desk in the front of the room and slumping down.

“Um, would you know Julian by any chance?” I laughed and Jax snapped his head towards me.

“Would you know the reason why you’re talking to me by any chance? Because I don’t think I asked you to.”

I threw my hands up and scoffed, turning around.

But then I heard him sigh behind me and he placed his hand on my arm. “I’m sorry. He just pisses me off.”

“So I take it you do know him?” I didn’t turn around.

“Yes I know him. Maybe you can take a chance and get to know me?” I turned around and his brown eyes.

“Fine.” I held out my hand he grabbed a hold of it. “I’m Haize.”

He smiled tenderly and shook my hand. “I’m Jax, and it’s a pleasure to meet you.” He then smiled again and I returned the smile.

I just hope that meeting Jax won’t be anything like meeting Julian. Maybe he will replace Mason, or maybe he’ll just replace Harry.
