Rose's POV
The kiss stopped as soon as it started, Viper being the one to pull away.
"Fuck, that wasn't supposed to happen" he says, getting off the bed and pacing, his hands in his hair.
"Was it that bad?" I ask, confused
"No, it's not that. Nick would fucking kill me if he finds out about this" he says
"Why the hell would he care?" I ask him
"Because, this is not supposed to be the way things play out. I''m not supposed to actually fall for you" he says, his eyes showing shock when he realized what he said.
"What's the supposed to mean?" I cross my arms over my chest, but he stays silent. "Luis, what the fucking hell is that supposed to mean?" I push, using his actual name, something we both know he hates.
"Don't call me that!" he growls
"Than answer the damn question" I say, my eyes showing anger by his lack of response.
"He wanted me to make you feel something for me, so you wouldn't think about going back to Luke. That's why I've been so nice and he has been extra bitchy, like a girl on her month." he says, making me feel used.
"So, that kiss. That was supposed to seal the deal than?" I ask, trying to fit the pieces together
"Yeah, but hell, that was supposed to mean nothing to me." he says making me smile
"What about falling for me in California?" I continue with my mini interrogation
"We both know I was too much of a drunk to actually feel" he says, and I nod, feeling like a complete idiot for thinking he might have felt something towards me. Me, of all people.
"Right" I say, looking down before trying to pass by him, though his hand grips my arm, preventing me to leave.
"That doesn't mean I haven't caught feelings for this new and improved Rose" he says
"I need to try something, and this time, don't let me stop." he tells me and I nod, awaiting what is coming next.
The palms of his hand rests on either side my face, his movements slow like he would overstep a boundary. His face was so close to mine that I was able to smell his breath, the minty aroma now fanning my face.
The second his lips touched mine, he tried to repeat his previous actions, but I quickly wrapped my arms around the back of his neck, kissing him back. His kiss was nothing like Luke's.
Luke's was demanding and firm, while Viper was more slow, trying to savor the moment.
His hands soon went to my waist, and he pushes me back until my back was against a wall. He moved his lips to my neck before the door swung open.
"What the fuck! I told you to make her stay not get her pregnant all over again!" Nick's voice makes Viper remove his lips from my neck and turn to face his angry looking best friend.
"Who said I was going to end up pregnant?" I ask
"Was I speaking to you?" he hisses before turning his attention back to Viper.
"No, but it has something to do with me, so naturally I speak" I say, feeling Vipers hand touch my arm as if to say that he could handle this.
"Nick, we should speak outside" he says, and when Nick obliges, Viper turns to look at me one last time before following Nick out the door.
I lean my back against the door and realize what just happened. I just shared a very heated moment with Viper fucking Sandoval. It was times like this that I wished I had Lilac here to speak to. However, I know she won't say a single word to me after I explain my previous actions. I doubt she would consider me a sister if she hasn't already disowned my entire existence.
Than I think about Michael. He was the closest thing I had to a best friend before, and how much he cared for me. I doubt any of that matters anymore, since I left and he probably hates me.
"Rose, get you're ass out here!" I hear Nick call for me and I prepare myself for a very loud talk.
When I get out of the room, I see Viper standing against a wall, his eyes fixed to the floor.
"So, what the hell did you say to Luis over here?" he hisses
"It's Viper" Viper grumbles
"I didn't say anything to him. He's the one who was saying all this semi-romantic shit to me, and according to him, you're the one to blame. Isn't that right, Viper?" I ask him
"I told you, Rose, I didn't need to be persuaded to say any of it" he says
"Well isn't this all sweet and shit? I will not allow anybody to be falling for anyone in this gang, so don't even try to pull this all over again." Nick said
"Who the fuck says I'm going to listen to you?" I ask
"Since when did you have feelings for Sandoval?" Nick asks, and I see Viper put his head up, his eyes filled with some form of hope.
"Since I saw that he wasn't a complete asshole like you, Monroe" I respond
"Let me make something clear, Walker. You and Viper will not communicate unless we are on a job that makes it happen. If you two date, it will make Serpents go down. I will drop dead before I have to deal with some romantic couple shit between the two of you" he says, attempting to leave
"Just because Lilac dumped your ass doesn't mean you get to ruin any relationship around you" I mumble
"Last time I checked, you two aren't together, so fuck off" he says, leaving without another word.

Viper pulls away from our kiss, looking me in the eyes.
"I don't think we're following Nick's rules" he chuckles, tracing the frame of my face with his hand
"Him and his rules can go fuck themselves" I say with a giggle before he reconnects our lips.

Notes

Oh yeah, that just happened. Riper has sailed. I decided on Riper lol. Let's see if it lasts with Nick around. And I mentioned Michael because he might make an appearance soon :)) Lol two or three more chapters until this book is done. I already have the cover and characters done, so get excited because I am super excited thinking about it lol. Also, I have 2 things to say. One is that maybe u all realized tht I am the only one who is the author now. I had to make it that way because my ex-coauthor only updated twice throughout the whole book, and when I asked her to update, she would say she would, but she never did. It's been months and nothing. I hated doing so but it was my final decision. Second thing, on a lighter note. I was messaging one of my readers after I read her book, and I love interacting with u guys! If anyone wants to speak (advice, if ur having a bad time, or u just wanna talk) just message me!
