Rose's POV
When I finally get out of the house, I inhale the fresh air. I couldn't last another second with Tayla making snarky comments every five fucking seconds.
"Nick isn't too happy with you leaving" I hear someone call after me
"Well, Nick could go fuck himself" I reply to Matt
"You and Tayla have the same attitude" he comments
"Do not compare me to little miss bitch" I groan, allowing him too catch up to me
"You know, you're pretty brave calling her that when I'm related to her" Matt chuckles
"Yeah, well, if you wanted to do something, you would've done so already" I point out
"Good point" he tells me "So, who's Ashton and why did you leave his gang?" he adds
"Some asshole that would almost be as bad as Nick. I left because him and my ex got to be too much to handle" I explain
"My guess is he's your ex for a reason than" he says
"There's always a reason that someone becomes an ex, but yeah, that was the reason" I let him know
"Was it worth it though? You know, leaving a powerful gang for one that is barely rising?" he asks me
"How did you know the gang I left was a powerful one?" I ask
"Ashton Irwin's gang is one that is well known around town, and pretty much the whole country." he informs me, and my lips form into an 'o'. "So, which guy is your ex? Calum, Michael?" he asks
"Luke" I say, making him halt.
"Luke Hemmings? Didn't think you were the kind to fall for assholes" he says
"Yeah, well things happen in mysterious ways, I guess." I shrug
"I didn't realize you thought I was an asshole" I heard an all too familiar voice tell me. When I turn, I am only a few feet away from Luke. The guy I haven't seen in weeks.
"I didn't realize you cared" I tell him
"Who the hell is this?" he asks, pointing towards Matt "Does Nick think you need protection or some shit?" he adds
"Like hell I need protection. I couldn't stand someone and he decided to tag along in my little escape" I say
"Nick got to you already?" he smirks
"No, actually, my sister" Matt corrects him, standing closer to me, knowing Nick wouldn't be so pleased if he finds out Luke was so close to me.
"Correction, little miss bitch" I grumble
"You're already having problems and you've only been gone a few weeks" Luke says, almost amused
"I can say the same about your little gang. How is it going since I left by the way, because we both know Lilac can't bait for shit" I ask, amusement in my voice
"We're managing" he says
"Clearly" I smile
"Rose, we should get back. They made Tayla leave the living room so she won't be able to say anything" Matt says, and I oblige, not saying another word to Luke.
Luke's POV
I let her walk away, like the fucking idiot that I am. I let her leave me all over again, and this time she leaves with some guy whom I have no idea about. I'm just glad he wasn't Viper because Lord knows I won't fucking allow him near her.
Hearing that she has problems gives me hope that she will come back to me. That she will realize what she left behind, but then I remember that this is Rose. She is not going to give up so easily when she already set her mind to it. The way I handled the situation could've been better, I will admit that, but how the fuck was I supposed to be the Luke she knows when someone else was there who could use it against me? I was not about to let someone think I can be stomped on without having to deal with consequences.
Rose's POV
"Why the hell did you leave?" Nick yells right as I walk through the door.
"You're really asking me that question?" I ask him
"If this is about Tayla, maybe I should've given her the job of baiter. See how you would've handled that" he says, making my blood boil
"Even if you did, would you really be able to wait a whole ten minutes or more? We all know how impatient you are" I argue
"Rose, not the time" Viper says
"Whatever happened to the sweet innocent Rose? I'd rather have her back than your sassy ass" Nick says
"Well that's too fucking bad isn't it?" I tell him.
I don't stay to hear another word come out of Nick's mouth. The second I finish speaking, I stomp to my room. The voices of the three guys become louder as the argument goes on. Why Matt was arguing against Nick when he knows nothing about me is beyond my knowledge but I'm glad he does so. I try to wrap my head around the fact that I saw Luke today. He seemed tired and frustrated. Something I haven't seen since the first day I met him. Bringing up the state of my former gang was a low blow, I will admit that, but hell he made me angry. I know what I'm doing and I don't need someone who doesn't attempt to show his fucking emotions towards me.
Now I lay in bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, only to hear my door open.
"Whoever the fuck you are, get the hell out" I say, not bothering to look up
"Not very nice to tell someone when they stook up for you" I heard Viper say, making me get up.
"So, is this like before or is this a lecture?" I ask
"Like before, but a little different." he says, sitting next to me
"Why do I feel so comfortable around you when not even a month ago, all you wanted to do was kill me?" I ask him
"Because I haven't made any attempts to do so" he says
"Not that I know of." I joke
"I guess I saw that you had enough with your dick of an ex boyfriend" he shrugs
"Oh come on, since when does Viper Sandoval give up by seeing that someone has to deal with enough?" I ask
"I've changed since we last saw each other in California, Rose. Might not have seemed like it when you saw me the night at the club, but I'm different. I can't say the same about Nick, but I am" he says, and I see his eyes avert to my lips quickly before he gazes into my eyes again.
"I know. I didn't realize at first because I was in too much pain to see behind the anger in your eyes, but I see it now" I say
"I'm really sorry about that. Nick said to get you outta there. No matter what it took. I guess I took it literally" he says
"I saw that" I say
It was silent for a while, neither of us knowing what to say after the awkward conversation of the first run in, in Australia.
"Would we be good parents?" he asks, and that question alone made the memories of my short pregnancy flood back into my mind.
"I don't think I would want our child to be born into the mess we call a life" I say
"Yeah, but if everything was different" he says
"Than yeah, I think this new Viper would be a better father though" I comment
"So do I" he says
"Why ask though. I figured you didn't want to be a father" I ask, thinking back the night he beat me just so I wouldn't have the baby.
"I wasa fucking idiot before. Thinking back on it, I killed someone I had part in making, whether you wanted it to happen or not. Fuck, I'm an asshole" he sighs out, rubbing his eyes in frustration
"I can agree with that, actually" I tell him
"Has your opinion changed about me these past few week?" he asks, his voice lined with hope.
"Honestly?" I ask, and he nods "I didn't expect to rely on you to back me up. Lilac and I ran from you guys, scared shitless that you guys would find us, so when you did, I thought about running again. The night you killed the baby was still fresh in my mind like it just happened and I knew you were angry about the whole thing. I thought you were the same, ruthless Viper that I left behind, but you're not" I pause, and I see a hint of happiness in his eyes when he heard me say the last few words "You're caring, differing greatly to the night at the bar, and you stick up for me. I'm glad you changed, because I needed someone to remind me of the life I left behind, no matter how shitty the memories might have been" I finish
"I'm trying to make things right. This whole thing has gone to shit between us and Lilac still hates me, but I don't give a fuck what she thinks because she's not the one I fell for back in California" he says, catching me by surprise as my eyes grow wide. The next thing I knew, his lips were pressed against mine.

Wooooaaahhhh so that happened. I might go back and edit it so it isn't so rushed, but yeah. Viper and Rose have now become Vrose, Riper? Idk comment down below if you have a ship name for them lol. It's not official and it might not be, but hey a kiss counts right? Lol anyways There will in fact be a sequel, none of the comments said to just end the book.
