Luke's POV
I saw the way she looked at him. She didn't intend to avoid him the rest of the night, and that fucking pissed me off. All I have to say is she better fucking make the right decision because she knows damn well who she is messing with.
"Well, where is she?" Ashton asks, almost amused that she didn't return by my side
"She's with Viper" I hiss, making it known that he shouldn't mess with me while my rage is more than likely at it's all time high.
"Why in the burning hell would she be with him?" this time the words were uttered by Lilac
"That's what I want to find out." I say, cracking my knuckles.
"Calm down Hemmings. We all know Rose" Michael tries to reassure me
"Yeah, and we all know she doesn't listen to anybody's orders. She makes irrational decisions when she's hurt and it's pretty fucking clear she is hurting right now. What makes you think she won't make a last minute decision?" I hiss in his direction, making him face the ground.
Nice move.
"It's pretty obvious you are not in your right mind, so you better go get your head together and leave tonight's job to the rest of us" Ashton says
"You're fucking hilarious. I am not bailing on tonight. I've never missed a fucking job and that is not starting because of some girl" I say, but Ashton doesn't leave it at that
"Yes it is going to start with some girl because you're not thinking straight and I don't need that fucking up everything" he says and my blood boils at his words
"I am second in command to this gang and I fucking demand I join in on this" I hiss
"And I am the fucking leader so shut the hell up and leave before things get ugly, Hemmings" Ashton says and I growl before leaving them without another word
When I get far enough, I slam my back against a wall, furiously running my hands through my hair.
"Fuck" I curse, earning a few strange stares from the people surrounding me.
"Can I fucking help you" every word was like venom, making each one of the strangers avert their gaze to anywhere but me. Good, they should be scared
I'm Luke fucking Hemmings. The guy who everyone should fear because I care about nothing and no one. At least that was the case before I met Rose. She managed to break down every last fucking wall that I built up, and I should hate her existence for that, but I can't seem to feel any sign of hatred when it comes to her.

Ashton said I couldn't help with the job, but he said nothing about watching from afar. Which is exactly what I am doing, even though the guys don't know I'm here. As I watch the sweaty bodies move to the beat, a particular figure catches my eye. Her brown hair was tied in a high ponytail, making her look daring. She wore a short grey shimmery dress and heels, which makes it near impossible to be dancing the way she is right now.
What makes my blood boil is that she is not doing a job for us. I can see Viper and Nick examining her work from where I stand. One of which is eyeing her up and down and I don't like it. I am the only one who can look at her that way, and seeing him eye her like she's his to claim makes me want to rip him apart so he won't be near her anymore.
My question, though, is why in hell would they be examining her like she had something to fucking prove to them?
A low growl sounds from my throat before slamming my bottle to the counter and walking over to them, my face probably looking like I'm going to murder someone.
"What the hell is she doing with you?" I hiss once their eyes are on me.
"We're seeing what our new baiter's got" Nick smirks
"The hell she's your new baiter. Rose wanted nothing to do with you" I say
"The key part to that sentence is 'wanted'. Past tense. She couldn't wait to take your gang down. We spoke all about it. When she wasn't all over me, that is" Viper's lips curve at my reaction to his statement. He's lying, and he better pray I don't go off right here.
"She will realise what she's doing and she will come back to me. She never said we're done so stay the hell away from her" I say, my eyes probably a dark shade of blue right now.
"You we're serious when you told me he thought he was a threat to us, huh Viper?" Nick asks Viper, who is simply looking at me with an amused smirk playing on his face.
"You have no fucking clue who I am" I growl
"Oh, we do though. You're Luke Robert Hemmings, second in command to the most feared gang in the country. Not for long though" Nick says
"What the hell does that mean?" I hiss
"We're gonna make sure your pathetic gang is no longer remembered. The only gang that will make people want to cower away will be ours" Viper says proudly. If only he knew pride can kill. Especially when I'm near.
"How do you plan on doing that, than?" I ask, deciding to have fun with this.
"We have our secret weapon." Nick says, and Viper glances to Rose, making everything click into place.
"You plan on using my girlfriend against my gang. What kind of fucking plan is that, huh?" I ask, rage growing inside of me at the thought of the plan that just might work.
"A hell of a good one if Rose thought it would work." the mention of Rose's name in the same sentence as an approval makes me angrier by the second.
"And you don't think she is just trying to get information. She's one smart girl, and we both know that is the damn truth. She is capable of manipulating someone until she gets what she wants, which is why she was our fucking baiter. Good luck trying to tame her because that is one show I am itching to see" I say before walking away, looking at Rose doing her job, compared to Lilac, who hasn't even caught the guys attention yet.
Rose's POV
"So, how did it go from your standpoint?" I ask Nick, while Viper is off finishing the job that I started.
"You're a damn good baiter, I'll give you that" he comments
"So why do I feel like there's a 'but' about to appear?" I ask
"You need to learn to kill on your own. Viper and I aren't going to be there for you at all times, so killing will have to be for you when it comes down to it" he explains
"Hell no. Nick that is not going to happen. Luke had my back-" I start to argue but he cuts me off.
"Well I'm not Luke! We both know damn well I'm not so don't fucking expect me to treat you the way he did." he yells, making me simply nod my head in response.
"I'm still not going to kill anyone" I refuse
"I heard you had no trouble in the past" I hear Viper say as he returns, blood staining his hands.
"That's different. I never meant to" I try to defend my past actions.
"For fuck's sake, just man up and finish the things that you start. That's all we ask from you!" Nick roars, not giving me a chance to reply as he storms out of the apartment.
"How the hell have you been able to handle his fucking temper tantrums for so long and can you please tell me the secret to not ripping his head from his fucking shoulders?" I remark, hearing Viper let out a low chuckle.
"Lots of practice" was all he says before a silence takes over the atmosphere, a silence I don't like at all.
"And don't worry about the killing. I can handle it all on my own, just make sure you show off to Nick when you're doing your thing" Viper says, almost catching me off guard by his kind gesture. Almost.
"Alright." I say, and he leaves shortly after, leaving me with only my thoughts.

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo soooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry it took me soooo long to update! I have been doing college applications and school and soccer being put into the mixture doesn't exactly help.... anyways hope u all like this update!
