Rose's POV
As the sun begins to go down, I stay curled in my bed, not moving from it since the last meeting that we had. I have no plans to remove myself from the comfort of the covers, but sadly, my plans never work out, and the knock on my door proves this right.
"Rose, come on. Ashton told me we are meeting today for something. So get dressed" Lilac tells me and a few seconds later, she is no longer at my door so I try to contemplate whether I should listen to her orders or not. However, knowing Lilac, she will throw a fit when she sees me still in my pajamas looking like a caterpillar in my covers.
I sigh before getting out of bed and changing into a blue loose flowy spaghetti strap and black high waisted jeans, pairing the outfit with my blue vans. I don't pay much attention to my hair or makeup, simply braiding the long brown strands to the side, keeping them from covering my vision and leaving my face makeup free.
"Are you up yet?!" Lilac's voice booms through my door and I roll my eyes in annoyance at her
"Yes!" I answer and when she doesn't reply, I assume she just nodded to herself in satisfaction that I didn't need a second wake up call.
With one last glance in the mirror, I walk out of my room, only to be stopped by Lilac the second my feet leave the threshold of my door.
"If you're not going to wear makeup, at least do your hair" she remarks and I glare at her
"Why do I have to get all dressed up if it's just some stupid meeting?" I ask her
"Just do it" she says
"If this is going to be like that last time we met up with them and I was sent to get hurt, you can take my place" I hiss
"It's not, calm down. Just go do your hair please" she says and I know she isn't giving me an option, but more of a demand, so I turn and head back to my room, getting my curling iron out of the drawer and plugging it in before removing my hair from the braid that I had it in before.
"Thank you" I hear her say, and I can just imagine the wide smile she's wearing right now
Halfway through curling my hair, I hear my phone go off, and I look to see Michael's name pop up on the screen.
"Hello?" I say once I answer it
"Are you guys on your way yet?" he asks me
"No, we would've been, but Lilac made me do my hair" I mumble angrily, removing a now curly strand of hair from the wand.
"Well, hurry, the others are getting impatient" he says, more in a hushed tone, no doubt the others are right next to him
"I'll curl my hair as fast as possible" I fake a tone of obedience.
"Very funny" he chuckles
"I try" I joke before we say our goodbye's and hang up the call.
Surprisingly, I am finished my hair in under twenty minutes, which is a new personal best for me. Remembering my phone call with Michael, I quickly grab my bag and am out of my room a few seconds later.
"Lilac, the others are getting impatient, and if we are yelled at, you're taking them blame" I say and she gets off the couch
"It will be worth it when they see you" she says with a smile
"Alright, what is happening that I'm not aware of because we've never been rushed this much over some meeting" I question but she doesn't reply. However, she places her hand on my shoulder and tells me not to worry about it before walking ahead of me, and after a few seconds, I follow behind her, the curiosity swarming in my mind like a hurricane.

Luke's POV
My hands are shaking, and for the first time in a long while, I am nervous over a girl. Ashton helped me set this all up and Calum wrote a great song for me, but this whole thing doesn't seem like me, and I'm scared Rose will notice that, and think of me weirdly. I'm scared she will think I'm trying to hard to get her back, and no doubt she'll be confused because of the way I've been acting prior to this.
"You alright Luke?" I hear Calum ask
"This whole thing seems weird" I say
"Well, you do weird things for love" he says
"I'm just surprised Ashton went along with this" I tell him
"He sees a special something in Rose that he doesn't want you to give up on. After all, we don't give up on things we want" he says
"Is she coming?" I ask
"Michael said they're almost here. Just breathe" he says before leaving me alone
A few minutes pass and I hear the sounds of two new pairs of feet walking, and Rose's voice was all I needed to hear to make me lose my breath. This is the last chance I had with her.
"What's going on?" I heard Rose ask and when the music started playing, I knew I had to start.

As the music ends, I look at Rose and she looks shocked. I keep my eyes on her as I walk up to her, but before I could say anything, or even get close to her, she turns to walk out, and I am left broken without her saying a single word.
