Welcomed Into The Darkness

Rose's POV
I search the club for Lilac and when I finally found her, she was sitting on Ashton's lap, no doubt drunk off her ass. I go over to her and pull her from him and she stumbles before regaining her balance.
"What the hell! Why aren't you with Luke?" Ashton hisses, not very pleased with me yanking his girlfriend from him, but he needs to get over it. She is my sister anyways.
"I don't care where he is." I tell him before turning my attention to Lilac.
"I'm going home. Can I have the keys?" I ask her
"Come on Rose. You need to let loose a little." Lilac slurs.
"Give me the keys Lilac" I tell her
"Fine, party pooper" she says before handing me the keys. It didn't take her long to be back on Ashton's lap. I roll my eyes at her before looking for the exit of the club. When I'm finally out of the place, I make my way to the apartment. The only thing that was a good about tonight is that I don't have to join Luke and the others, because it wasn't arguable that tonight was anything but enjoyable for me.
"Rose!" I hear someone call for me, but I ignore them, not being in the mood to speak to anyone.
"Dang you walk fast" the same person says, who is now by my side and I can see it's Michael.
"Shouldn't you be in there, finding some girl to screw?" I ask, rather rudely I might add, but I'm not in the mood, as I have mentioned before.
"Woah, what happened in there that got you in a bitchy mood?" he asks
"Luke" I mutter
"Is that why he's in a pissy mood too?" he asks
"I don't get why he is mad. I was actually enjoying myself, talking to a nice guy, and then he decides to cut in, and pull a knife out on the guy" I explain
"He's probably in a bad mood because he likes you and he got jealous" Michael points out
"Yeah right. I'm probably just some one night stand to him" I roll my eyes
"I've never seen him try this hard just to bang someone and leave, and I've known him for a while" Michael says
"Do you know why he's in this gang? He mentioned something about how he had no choice, but he never explained further than that?" I ask, obviously curious about Luke's previous words when they had lunch together.
"I don't want to be one to say, but all I can say about that is give him a break because he's been through a lot" he tells me
"How bad is he?" I sigh, knowing I should at least check up on him.
"He's drowning himself in vodka right now" he says
"Shit" I mutter under my breath "Can you send him out here? I am not about to go back in there" I add
"I'll be right back, but just be careful" he says before walking back.
Not long after, Michael returns, dragging Luke along with him. He doesn't seem drunk, but it was obvious that if he stayed for a second longer, he wouldn't hesitate to get to that state.
"Michael I told you I'm not going to-" Luke starts but when he sees me standing there, he stops.
"I had to get you out of there somehow" Michael tells him before winking at me and returning to the club.
"Hey" I say, not realising how dumb it sounds until after the words leave my lips
"What are you doing out here?" he asks
"I couldn't stay in there any longer, I needed some air" I say
"So, why am I out here?" he asks, obviously confused
"I needed to talk to you" I tell him
"If you're going to say that you never want to speak to me again, you don't have to. I can tell you're not enjoying yourself and after tonight, you won't see me ever again" Luke says, a hint of hurt in his voice, and before he was able to change the look in his eyes, I saw sadness
"I wasn't going to say that" I shake my head "I was going to say that we could maybe hang out somewhere that doesn't include drunken bodies grinding against each other" I say
"You are voluntarily doing this?" his eyebrows furrow together
"Yeah, I thought it was time I gave you a chance" I shrug
"After everything that happened, you're doing this?" he continues with the questions
"If you keep asking questions, I'm going home" I warn
"Alright, let's go than" he says
"Where?" I ask, not knowing my way around town yet.
"I know just the place" he smirks, getting me nervous, which he could tell by the look in my eyes. "Don't worry, it's a nice place" he assures me. I smile before he leads the way.
While we walked in silence, him being a few inches ahead of me, I can see people looking at me like I am being lead to my death. The teenage girls walking by simply giving the two of us a dirty look like we were killers, than I realized who I'm with, Luke Hemmings, second in command to the most dangerous gang in the country. He is a killer and I am hanging out with him like he isn't, even after he admitted that to me what he is capable of. Apart of me begins to rethink, but I know I have to at least give him some kind of chance.
Luke's POV
Rose walks behind me, and I really hope she doesn't see the way the other's are looking at us. If she walks away again, I know this will be the last time it will happen, and I can't let that happen. Looking behind me to make sure she is still following, I am surprised that she still is but she looks scared. I look forward again, my jaw clenching at the fact that I'm the one she is afraid of. I shake my head before turning and grabbing her arm and pulling us from eyesight, which would be the back of a store.
"Why are you really doing this? And I don't want any bullshit answer. I want the truth" I snap, not taking the situation lightly
"I want to know more about the guy who isn't supposed to be seen as a killer" she says
"I swear if you're doing this out of pity, you can go because there is no reason for anybody to feel bad for me" I tell her
"Where is this coming from anyways? I few minutes ago, you were more than happy to take me somewhere, and now it's like you want me to leave" she explains the situation
"I saw the way you looked. You're scared of me, and yet you're still here" I say
"Isn't that a good thing? Or do you want me to leave?" she asks, and I can tell she is getting angry by this conversation.
"I want a fresh start. I don't want you to see me as some heartless bastard who doesn't give a fuck about someone's feelings" I say
"Than prove to me that you aren't" she tells me.
"It's not that easy" I say
"Nothing is easy for you" she mutters
"Don't underestimate me sweetheart. I can kill someone with ease" I say
"Not helping your situation" she points out. "Look, I am willing to give you a fresh start if you are willing to give me one too" she says
"Why would you need a fresh start?" I ask
"Like I said before, Hemmings, I am not perfect and neither is my life, so if we both just get our problems off our chest, maybe we could have a chance. Or maybe I won't hate you" she shrugs. I think about it for a second. The only other people who know about my past is the gang and I'm not so sure if telling her would be risky or not, but than again, she is willing to let me start over, and that is all I want from her right now.
"Alright, you have yourself a deal Rose" I say, making her smile.
"Well, are we going to go somewhere or not?" she giggles, and we both make our way to a spot only I know of.

I am extremely sorry for not updating for almost a month, but I hope this chapter is good enough. The next chapter will actually be in Lilac's POV, so stay tuned for that :) However, towards the end, since the next chapter will be fairly long, I will continue on with Rose's POV and you guys will find out Luke's past, as well as Lilac's and Rose's past.
