Mayhem Music Awards
After the girls from life-line were escorted backstage, Drake Bell and Carly Rae Jespen came out to announce. I thought there would be another award but they instead introduced an act. As soon as she took the stage, you could visably see the lads and I tense up. We all turned to Harry. To gauge his reaction. He sat in his seat. His face was unreadable, something rare. Harry was very expressive with his face. You could almost always tell his emotions from looking at his face.
I turned back to Taylor Swift's performance. It was quite the performance. She decided to sing We are Never Getting Back Together. You could see her searching the audience. I'm pretty confident that she was looking for Harry. Just as her eyes landed in our area I could tell she had locked eyes with him. His eyes were no longer green. They were dark. Soon after their eyes met, she mocked him in her performance. She actually had the gutts to do it. You could see Harry's fists ball up, he was trying to control himself. He knew that all cameras would be on him, awaiting his reaction. When the performance ended the audience was silent. It surprised me that Harry was the first to clap. The rest of the audience foolowing his lead.
"Well, that was quite the performance!" Said Carly Rae Jespen as her and Drake bell took the right walkway stage. "Now let's go to Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera for the next award." Carly Rae Jespen and Drake bell walked backstage as Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera took center stage. "You okay man?" I asked into Harry's ear. "Fine." I nodded my head knowing this was no place to discuss what had happened. The next award was for Best Rap Album with Kanye West taking it home.
There were two more awards before only Drake Bell came out to announce again. "Now this next act is the one I've been waiting for all night." Just when he said this all the lights went off. "What just happened? Is everyone okay?" asked Liam worriedly. "Fine" We all responded. As soon as we responded the first note was sung and all the stage lights turned on. The audience lights were dimmed putting all the focus on them. They looked smashing. There was no doubt that everyone's attention was on them. From my right El pulled Niall up to dance with them while Dani pulled Harry up from my right. Harry was a tad more reluctant but one glance at the stage and he got up and joined them. Once the song ended everyon cheered loudly. The stage lights were turned off and the venue lights were lit up more. Carly Rae Jespen came out with Drake Bell this time. "That was incredible! what do you guys think?" The audience roared in response. "Sorry for my partner here. He is not quite over the performance yet." She laughed into the microphone. "Did you guys see them! That was HOT!" Drake Bell yelled into the microphone pointing in the direction of the stage. Well here are Amelia Lilly and JLS announcing Best Country Album. I gotta go see if I can catch the girls backstage." Drake Bell said practically running backstage with Carly Rae Jespen following suit laughing.
As Amelia Lilly and JLS came on stage The lads and I wer eled backstage as we were the next performance.
