THE DEATH OF ME

Zumba

Harry ended up sleeping over, letting Ed know he will be back in the morning.
When I finally wake up around 10:00 Harry is not in the bed, and I pace around the house looking for him.

"Good morning," he smiles trying to flip the omelet he was cooking.
"I thought you only know how to make pasta," I smirk.

"I'm trying something new here," He shows me the mashed up egg in the pan and I snort.
"Are you laughing at my attempt of making you breakfast?" Harry raises a brow at me.
"No," I lie, "Thank you, you are very kind," I walk over and stand on my toes to reach his cheek.

Harry moves his head and my kiss lands on his mouth. I recoil and slap my hand over my mouth, eyes wide at him.

"What's wrong?" His eyes narrow.

"I didn't brush my teeth, and you kissed me and I probably smell real bad," I mumble, keeping a hand over my mouth. I run off to brush my teeth and wash my face before I rejoin him in the kitchen.

"You're funny," He sits a plate of sickening looking eggs in front of me.

"I'm glad I amuse you, this looks-"

"Bad? I know, but it tastes good," He sits in front of me.

I taste the egg and I am surprised it is edible.

"So I was thinking, maybe you want to join me at the field today? I want to try out some stuff Zayn added to my car, or you can stay with Ed?" Harry questions.

"Well, I have plans to meet Eleanor and Perrie at the gym," I remind him, glancing at my watch. I need to get going if I want to get there on time.

"What are you still going? But I thought you have your period!" Harry seems confused.
"I have my period.. That doesn't mean I'm dying," I smirk.

"But yesterday you weren’t feeling well," He frowns.

"And today I'm fine," I shrug.

"Fine, do you need me to drop you off at the gym then? What time are you meeting them anyway?" Harry gets to his feet.

"At 12:00, I can walk if you're in a hurry," I offer.

"No! I'll take you," He then walks away with his phone in hand.

I haven't yet mentioned to him that I overheard his talk with Ed. I'm not sure how to go about it, or if to even bring it up. The only thing I am sure of is that it is constantly nagging at me. I push it away, and go find some sweats and a tank top to wear at the gym.

"So when you're done call me and I'll come fetch you," Harry stats as he stops the car.
"Don't be silly, I can walk home," I roll my eyes.
"No. I'll come and get you,"

"Harry, why would you drop everything you are doing to pick me up from a gym that is a 5 minute walk to my house? And besides, I might go out after with the girls," I blush. I am not used to hanging out with girls, this being my second time, if I count my shopping spree with Eleanor the first.

"Oh really? All right then, but still, call me after and let me know what you are doing- Please?" He adds when he sees my face.

"Fine," I lean over and kiss his cheek. It becomes easier every day, showing Harry affection, I am getting better at this relationship thing.

I hurry into the gym to find Perrie already waiting.

"Hi love, how are you?" She shifts to hug me.

"Not bad.. And yourself?" I return the hug more naturally this time.

"I'm good, El is on her way, running slightly late, let's go change in the meantime,"

I follow Perrie into the women's changing room, and take my sweats and tank top out of my bag.

"Did Harry bring you?" Perrie asks and I nod, mimicking the way she undresses in front of me without another thought, and I try and not camper our bodies as I undress.

"So you two are good? He kind of stormed off last night," She says casually.

"Well yeah.. I guess he had some calming down to do, but he waited for me outside to take me home," I felt the need to stand up for him, even though the way he acted last night was quite unacceptable.

"Hi girls," Eleanor comes rushing in, "Sorry I'm late, I couldn't find my car keys," She lets her bag drop to the bench as she kisses my cheek and then Perrie's.

"So what are we attending today? Zomba?" She questions.

"Yeah, I think that sounds like fun, what do you think Cassie?" Perrie turns to me.

"Sure," I smile.

We are attending a free class, to try it out and see if we like it.
There are a handful of women in the big studio, with mirrors lining the walls.

"Hi," The teacher said in a high voice. He was tall and skinny, a pink scarf around his neck.
"SO this is a beginner's class, and if you find it hard just tell me and I will try and slow down, we are going to have so much fun," He smiles clapping his hands together, before removing his scarf and stretching.

I was stood between Eleanor and Perrie and when I glance at El she winks, sending me her sweet smile.

I put my hair up in a ponytail and turned to the teacher.

"Right then, let's begin,"

The music starts, and it's the 'Talk dirty to me' Song I keep hearing play in school.
It takes me a moment to understand the steps but once I get the hang of it, it is quite fun and I get sucked into it.

Before I know it the hour is over and the women are clapping and thanking the teacher for the wonderful class.

"I loved it! I think we should sign up for it," Perrie gushes.

"Yes, it was nice wasn't it," I agree with her.

"You were amazing! I didn't know you used to dance," Eleanor taps my shoulder.

"What? I don't dance, not until today that is," I tell her.

"Well then, you must be a natural since you were amazing," She sighs.

"Thanks, I think," I smile.

"Come on, let's change and go out for coffee," Perrie jumps in her place.

"Yes! That is a lovely idea," Eleanor agrees and we head out to collect our belongings.

After signing up for the class, we head out and pile into El's car.
"Where do you fancy going? We can sit at Costa or Starbucks? Oh there's that little place down the road from here," She remembers.

"NO!" Perrie and I exclaim at the same time and I am amazed Eleanor didn't slam her breaks on.

"We used to work there and the owner is terrible," Perrie explains.

"Oi that's the place you worked at? All right so that's off the list," Eleanor agrees.

"Starbucks," I decide for us, and Eleanor drives us to the nearest shop.

"So did Harry get over himself?" Eleanor asked once we were seated with our coffee and food.

I glance at Perrie who winks at me, which makes Eleanor smile a knowing smile.

"So you've spoken about it already,"

"It's fine, nothing I can't handle," I assure her.

Truth is, I'm a little scared talking to these girls about Harry, being Eleanor is friends with him, and they are both dating Harry's friends.

"Look Cass, we girls must stick together.. These lads can be a handful sometimes," Eleanor pushes.

"Tell me about it," Perrie agrees.

"You have Zayn as a boyfriend! How hard can that be? He is such a sweet soul," Eleanor turns to her.

"He can be a hand full sometimes too, like he wanted me to talk to Cassie about dating Harry, and when I refused he went on and on about me being a shitty friend," Perrie sighs.

"Zayn hates me," I mutter, and both girls narrow their eyes at me.

"No he doesn't," They say together.

"Yes he does! He keeps telling me not to date Harry, and he is trying to get you to stop me from dating him too," I point at Perrie.

"No, that is because he thinks you're too good for Harry, not because he hates you," Perrie smiles.

"How would he know? He doesn't even know me! Maybe I'm the one who is no good for him?" I inquire.

"He only needs one look at you to know that, but you're a big girl, you can take Harry on," Perrie giggles.

"I understand Zayn, knowing Harry's past, but he changed, and he is definitely different with you then the other girls he used to date," Eleanor speaks up.

"How so?" My curiosity gets the best of me, and I am sucked into this conversation.

"Well, you had to see the way he treated the other girls, I mean the girl before you- Lola,"

"I met her," I cut in.

"So you already can tell the type of girls he used to go for, and just imagine the way he used to treat them.. Not that he would do the same to you, as I said he has changed," Eleanor hurries to clarify.

"How so?" Perrie was the one to ask, concern all over her face.

"First of he NEVER used to let them sit with him while he was with his friends, like he did with you at Ed's gig, and he never picked them up from work to drive them home- he didn't give a fuck if they walked home on their own like he does with you, and the way he controls his temper," She smiles.

"That is controlled temper?" my eyes go wide.

"You have never seen him break a chair on someone's head did you?"

"Oh," Is all I can say. An image of an angry Harry screaming at the drunken bloke at the party comes to mine. Even though he seemed pissed off, I would never think he is capable of slamming a chair into the guy's head.

"I'm not trying to scare you or anything, Harry is a good lad, he really is, and you're lucky to have him follow you like he does, I can tell he really does care about you," Eleanor smiles.

"I hope so," I say without thinking.

"Well, if he does anything to hurt you, I will kick his face off," Perrie promises me and we all laugh.

I am glad to have these girls as friends, glad to have friends at all, just sitting and laughing in such an easy manner is new to me, but I embrace it, liking the feeling, and hoping for more feeling like this to come.
