Summer Nights Romance.

Chapter VI.

COLLINS’ P.O.V.

She didn’t even bother fixing her hair. She gazed at her reflection with bored eyes, she was only in her lace black panties and bra still. Tonight should be exciting… it was her first college town outing you could say. When she had gone out the first night with Luke they only grabbed hamburgers and lemonades. Tonight she vowed to let go, of everything. A knock came on her door and in came Devin, quietly shutting the door behind her.
“Hey sis, I wanted to uh… apologize for this morning. But only for making a scene. But for now, I want your stash,” Devin said, breathing in as if to concoct courage.
“My stash?” Collins repeated.
“Yeah, of everything please,” she commanded.
“I’m sorry?” Collins peeled her eyes away from the mirror and turned dangerously on her heels.
“I saw… I saw your condoms earlier, there I said it,” Devin clapped her hands together, looking annoyed.
“Excuse me?” Collins scoffed. Initially she was annoyed, but it turned to pure aggravation.
“Give everything to me,” she spat.
“Fuck off Devin. You aren’t mom. Our precious mom sent me here to get rid of me; she doesn’t care. So enlighten me, why do you?” Collins spat.
“Because I’m your older sister,” Devin sounded surprised at the mere question of it all.
“Okay, I’m gonna go to the party now,” Collins ignored Devin fully at this point. Collins began to shimmy into a tight short black dress, leaving little to imagination.
“Jesus Christ Collins! You are not wearing that!” Devin shrieked, looking outraged.
“Devin! Calm the fuck down! I can take care of myself,” Collins’ pitch matched Devin’s.
“Why are you doing this?”
“Doing what?”
“All of this, dammit,” Devin sighed.
“I’m not doing anything. I’m living.”
“Yeah living to die it seems…”
“Isn’t that the point of it all anyway?” Collins whispered in Devin’s ear as she walked past her dumbfounded sister. “But now, if you don’t mind me, I’m gonna go meet up with Harry.”

LOUIS’ P.O.V.

They had been informed to meet up at Midnight Luck, a local club hidden in the streets right off of camps. Louis found himself to be the first one there. He collapsed in the back booth when a sudden figure loomed over him.
“Look who it is,” Riley sighed, sitting down beside him.
“Hey babe,” Louis smiled widely. “How are you?”
“You don’t really care about that,” Riley snapped. He was surprised. They usually loved to banter before the night officially began.
“What’s up with you?” Louis snapped coldly.
“Nothing,” she said softly.
“Well, how about we have a fun night… I sense it’ll be a good one. It’s a full moon tonight, did you know that?” Louis leaned over and began to nibble her neck and ear. She usually shuddered at his initial touch, but tonight she glided out of his touch.
“I’m looking for new meat tonight,” Riley shrugged, eyeing the crowd, smirking when her eyes feel on some polo wearing muscle head.
“Oh, seriously? You’re gonna try to get him? He has a lower IQ than an infant,” Louis scoffed.
“Don’t be jealous Lou,” she cooed.
“I’m not jealous,” Louis said all too quickly. Riley and Louis were unconditional fuck buddies, no feelings involved. But it always ate at each other when they chose someone else over each other for the night. “Have fun…”
“Oh, I will. Oh and Lou, don’t forget to enjoy yourself tonight. I bet Collins changed her mind about you since yesterday… but then again, probably not. She can probably see right through you and see how much of an ass you truly are.”
Louis had nothing to stay. He stormed away and to the bar where he downed drink after drink. Slowly the others from the houses joined him, but everyone was overly smiley and Louis couldn’t help but look over his shoulders every few minutes to see Riley grinding against the meathead.

MIKEY’S P.O.V.

He had never seen Calum so nervous.
“Dude, please stop fidgeting. You’re shaking the car,” Mikey laughed, eyeing Calum’s bobbing knees. Calum had agrees to Mikey’s plan to get shitfaced and approach Evelyn. Mikey was the only one who truly knew that he was head over heels for Evelyn since day one of first semester. But many people connected the dots when he began to dote on her when she drank too much and laugh at her lame jokes. The only one who was oblivious to it all was Evelyn, but hopefully tonight it would all change.
“I feel like I’m having such a rush,” Calum slowly began to break out in fidgets again, but a smile spread across his lips.
“Yeah… looks like it… you didn’t take anything tonight, did you?” Mikey wondered.
“Riley offered me a couple shots at the house… I started early,” Calum admitted, giving a larger smile.
“Listen, Cal… before you tell her, wait until she had a few drinks in her system. It may help,” Mikey offered. Calum nodded obediently as if he were student and Michael teacher. They pulled into the parking lot and before the car was even parked, Calum jumped out and was running to the club.
“Shit…” Mikey sighed, staring after his friend.

EVELYN’S P.O.V.

“Devin! Hurry up! Everyone will already be there!” she cried from the bottom of the stairs. The rest of the house had cleared out and Devin was still upstairs in the bathroom. But suddenly the basement door opened and Devin appeared with a content smile and her purse bulging.
“What were you doing down there?” Evelyn said slowly.
“Just helping Collins out,” she said all too happily.
“Devin…” Evelyn said even slower.
“Let’s go, like you said, don’t want to be late!”

ASHTON’S P.O.V.
The club was vibrating with bass and people were already beginning to stumble about, feeling the walls in the strobe lights to find their ways. Drunken hook ups surrounded him and he couldn’t help but smile. It would be a good night. Suddenly his eyes caught Evelyn in the middle of the dance floor. She looked brilliant, as usual. She was by herself and unaware but men around her were eyeing her hungrily. Ashton grinned as he approached her confidently. But another couple caught his eye and his heart beat fast. The girl looked, if it was possible, better than Evelyn. It was Collins. Her make up was dark around her light eyes and her dress was so high on her thighs. He changed direction to get a better view of her.
She was with that guy from brunch. His hands weren’t taking advantage of her body though. Instead, for being in a club they were dancing very innocently. Collins was laughing, until she saw Ashton in front of her.
“What do you want?” she stopped her fluid body motions and Ashton undressed her with his green eyes.
“I think we both know what I want,” he grinned mischievously.
“Okay, no thanks though Ashton,” her voice strained, but the boy, Harry was his name? Well Harry seemed rather distracted by the door. Ashton followed his eyes and saw Devin gliding in, looking as studious and snobbish as ever. Ashton rolled his eyes, connecting the dots. He was dancing with Devin’s little sister, but he actually like Devin.
“If you don’t mind Collins, I’m gonna go get a drink. Is that cool?” Harry’s eyes never leaving Devin. Ashton smiled proudly as he left without her reassuring him that it was ‘cool’.
“That leaves two,” Ashton took a step closer. “C’mon babe, let’s have some fun.”
“Yeah? Babe?” she mocked. But she stepped closer and placed her forehead on his. Her breath on his lips, their lips daring to touch. The song continued and Ashton gave himself permission to grab her bum. Their dance grew much more inappropriate, and their lips never leaving the other’s sight. The song came to an end and Ashton leaned forward, to end the temptation and partake in a kiss. This was it, he thought, second night and she was already giving into my game. This was all too easy. But Collins’ head fell back and she laughed before they touched.
“Almost,” she laughed, “babe.”
And with that she left Ashton in the middle of the dance floor, frustrated in more than one way.

EVELYN’S P.O.V.

She was already losing herself in the alcohol and the lights. She didn’t even bother turning around to see who she was dancing with, whoever it was knew what they were doing. She held her drink up and rotated her hips in the right way. Suddenly his lips were pressed on her shoulder and they felt magical and enchanting, she turned herself around and her eyes bulged.
“Luke?”
“Evelyn.”
“W-woah, you’re good!” Evelyn stuttered. He was like her little brother. “I’m glad you showed!” her voice strained over the music.
“I’m glad too,” Luke’s eyes dancing upon her. “Do you want another drink?”
“Love one,” she nodded. Luke grabbed her hand and brought her through the crowd. They were standing at the bar and Luke handed Evelyn her drink and they walked to the end to have a seat.
“This tastes… so good,” she giggled, almost downing the whole glass.

LUKE’S P.O.V.

“Woah… calm down there,” he laughed, but the glass was empty and when he looked into Evelyn’s eyes, they were too. He looked around and saw Collins approaching them with a smile. She looked hot, might Luke say. Her long legs were tanned and looked so smooth to the touch.
“Hey Luke,” she waved. Luke remembered the night before; they agreed to be friends. But he didn’t want to make it seem like he was interested in her.
“Oh, hey,” he played off.
“You having fun, I see?” she eyed Evelyn. Only one hour in and she was already gone.
“Some more than others I guess, who have you been dancing with?” he wondered. She took a drink off the counter and sipped at it graciously.
“I was with harry, but he left and then I was with Ashton,” she said his name with a taste of spite.
“Harry? Who’s Harry?” Luke wondered, knowing the answer. He was form the brunch.
“Harry’s my sister’s ex. He was the one at the brunch, he caterer. I was gonna introduce you guys, but you were no where in sight. Did you even show?’
“Oh,” Luke felt even dumber for leaving the brunch now. Harry was Devin’s ex… he felt so dumb for leaving. “Yeah, I left early. I felt… unwell.”
“Unwell?” Collins mocked. “And you were worried last night about me bailing. How the tables have turned,” her eyes were twinkling behind this dark make up, making her eyes look so light. “Devin’s coming this way…. I’m gonna bail. But hey, let’s do something tomorrow?”
“Yeah, I’ll…” but before he could finish she had walked off, leaving him to watch her disappear in the crowd.
