Lonely Hearts Club
The State Of Dreaming
''Whatever you say.'' Sophie-Mae huffed as she picked up her folders and tried to exit the lecture hall. But after only one step Harry gripped her small wrist in his large hand and looked through her with his eyes. ''You don't know me.'' He whispered angrily.
''I don't need to know you to know that if you don't get your act together soon you'll be six feet under.'' Her words cut him like a knife. No one had ever put it so bluntly, so truthfully.
''Who made you such an expert.'' He loosed his grip on his wrist allowing her to move so she was only a few inches away from his face. ''I watched as my brother slipped away from under my nose. He got into the wrong crowd, drugs, drink, you name it, he was doing it all. I had to watch as everyone around him said he was fine, but he wasn't. And then one day my mum got a phone call say that her son Tom, had been found dead, and do you wanna know how she replied?''
A single tear fell down her cheek as she gripped onto her folders even tighter. Harry didn't reply, he couldn't, but Sophie-Mae continued anyway. ''She said she doesn't have a son called Tom.'' She barely whispered. Harry Styles was speechless. He was so shocked that Sophie-Mae managed to slip out of his grip without him even noticing, he was only shook out of his trance when Sophie-Mae spoke again. This time, from a safe distance, in the doorway, only turning her head to speak. ''It's not too late for you Harry.''
Were her last words before she swiftly exited the room and dissapeared into the crowd.

She sat on her cream, corner sofa chewing on pieces of popcorn whilst watching her favourite tv programme. But this week she had no interest in it. All she could think about was him. Watching her brother slowly throw his life away infront of her eyes was the hardest thing Sophie-Mae ever had to do, and se didn't want a reinactment. She was snapped out of her daze my Sasha walking into the living room, looking like she was ready for a night out. ''I'm going out for the night, wanna come?''
Going out for the night meant drinking, understand that Tom's death hasn't stopped Sophie-Mae from ever touching a drop of alcohol, but tonight she was feeling extra sensitive. ''No I'm good.''
''Suit yourself. Oh and don't wait up.'' She said winking before the door slammed shut, Sophie-Mae chuckled.
So once again Sophie-Mae was left alone, and as soon as that door closed, he re-entered her mind. And he wasn't going anywhere.
