Crash Into Me

i got all the time for you, love

"It's been so long!" Evelyn Sharp shouted as she grabbed Halie's bag after a most heart warming welcome. She could barely see through all of the tears and Halie felt a little emotional as well. "You've grown so much!" Evelyn's voice was so comforting to Halie's ears. It had been five years since Halie had last been in London and she had forgotten how much she missed hearing her voice.

"You look beautiful, Aunt Ev," Halie said, wrapping her arm around Evelyn's waist as they walked out towards the parking lot.

"Speak for yourself, love," Evelyn replied. "I'm surprised you didn't meet a boy on the train, or three boys. You're beautiful." Halie bit her lip.

"Well actually-" Evelyn cut Halie off by squeezing her closer to her.

"We're going to have so much fun Hal," she squealed. "You get to meet Thomas and George, and we can go shopping and, oh, you can meet my boyfriend."

"You have a boyfriend?!" Halie shouted, the surprise in her voice probably being offensive. Evelyn frowned and looked down at her.

"Well don't sound too surprised!"

"I'm sorry, I just, I mean, you told me that the only men you needed in your life were Tom and George," Halie explained. "And they're cats."

"Well Lucas has cats as well," Evelyn said. "That's actually how we met. At the vet's office."

"You found love on the examination table," Halie said. "How sweet." Evelyn laughed and gripped her tighter, the car coming into view.

Evelyn was ten years older than Halie but was very young in the soul. The age difference, or really lack their of, compared to other nieces and aunts, was what made Evelyn and Halie so close. The twenty eight year old was eighteen at heart.

Once Halie's bags were put in the trunk, the two began the ride home. London traffic was strange compared to American traffic but Halie wasn't complaining in the least. A familiar 'dun dun dun' sound came over the radio and Evelyn squealed and turned it up. "You're insecure, dunno what for. You're turnin' heads when you walk through the do-o-or," she sang as Halie furrowed her eyebrows, trying to remember what song that was.

By the time the chorus came around Halie was singing as well. "Baby you light up my world like nobody else, the way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed. But when you smile at the ground it ain't hard to tell, you dunno oh oh, you don't know you're beautiful!"

The DJ came on the radio after the song was over and Evelyn turned it down, but Halie could hear "that was What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. We're very proud of those boys and all they've done."

"Quite proud," Evelyn agreed. "Especially since I used to babysit one of the members."

"You used to baby sit a famous person?" Halie asked. She knew nothing about One Direction, she'd only heard the song a couple of times and it was very catchy, but she couldn't pick out any of the members if you were to put them in front of her.

"Louis Tomlinson," Evelyn replied. "He was probably the worst, most wonderful child I've ever babysat. He was always walking around the house singing or screaming. It wasn't very surprising to hear he'd gone on the X-Factor and become a star."

"Louis?" Halie questioned more to herself. That was the name of Harry's friend, but there must have been a hundred Louis' in London and surrounding areas. It was probably just a coincidence.

"He still comes around sometimes. Came by just the other month actually," Evelyn said. "He's still loud and obnoxious as usual." A smile was on her face as she talked about Louis and Halie could tell he was important in some way to Evelyn.

"How long did you babysit him for?" Halie asked.

"Two years," Evelyn replied. "Every day for two years."

"No wonder he's so important to you," Halie said, sounding impressed.

"Louis was nine when I first met him, of course I wasn't living in London at that time, and he became like a little best friend to me," Evelyn said with a smile. "He was ten, almost eleven when I moved to London. Sweet kid, loud mouth."

Halie remembered what Harry had said about Louis: 'he's loud and a complete mess, but he's my best friend. Halie shook her head in disbelief. There was no way. She dropped the subject.

The two pulled up to a nice little apartment complex that just screamed 'Aunt Evelyn'. Halie smiled and knew exactly which apartment was hers. The outside border was painted pink and there were cat ornaments hanging from the front porch. "Lord have mercy," Halie sighed with a smile.

"You like it?" Evelyn exclaimed. "Is it not just perfect?" Halie closed the car door and looked around.

"It's... somethin'," she said. Evelyn grabbed Halie's bags and they walked to the door.

"Thomas, George, Mummy's home and she brought a guest!" Evelyn shouted at the door. Two Persian cats jumped onto the window sill and 'meow'ed. Halie was never really a cat person, she liked dogs much better, but Persian cats were her favorites.

"Aw how precious!" Halie squealed as they walked through the front door. She picked one up and began hugging it. "Who are you? Tom? George?"

"That's Thomas," Evelyn said, holding George.

"Meoooooow," Halie said to Tom, and he half looked like he understood her. "Meow."

The interior of the home was lavender with a pale yellow border. Pictures were scattered across the walls, most of Evelyn's family, including Halie, but some of her cats as well. On the wall there hung a particularly interesting picture. Halie walked forward to examine it further.

"Oh yes," Evelyn said. "That's me and Louis when he was a youngster." Halie looked at the eyes of the boy and their was no mistaking it- although the boy in Harry's picture was older, he was still identical to who he was when he was ten. That was Louis. Which meant that Harry was in One Direction. And more importantly, one of the most famous people nowadays.

Halie couldn't believe it. Him? The guy who was wearing skinny jeans and a jacket? Riding the train instead of a Lamborghini? Who spoke so candidly about his friends like he wasn't in the public eye? No. The boy who trustingly handed her his phone number? He couldn't have been in One Direction.

"Isn't he cute?"

"He uh- yeah, yeah," Halie nodded her head. She wasn't sure if it was important to tell Evelyn that she met Harry on the train. She wasn't even sure how important it was that she met Harry, aside from the fact that he was a celebrity. Halie wasn't going to let Harry's fame deter her from calling him for lunch, however. She just knew that she should call him, somewhere deep inside.

"Let's get you settled into your room."

Halie's bedroom was small, but nice. The walls were light green with blue trimming. It seemed as though every room in Evelyn's apartment was a reflection of her personality. The walls were bare, however, something Evelyn must have done for Halie to put whatever she wished on them. Halie was thankful for that because she didn't know if she could stand seeing cats on every wall of the house, including hers.

"Feel free to put whatever you want in here, it's yours," Evelyn said, setting her bags on the floor in front of the bed. "And I know you're only staying for a few months, but you're more than welcome to stay as long as you wish. England will love you."

"Thanks Aunt Evie," Halie said, holding her arms out. Evelyn embraced her and walked out, leaving her to get unpacked.

Halie pulled out her phone and saw that it was working properly finally. She reached in her pocket and grabbed the piece of paper with Harry's number on it. Her fingers moved quickly as she dialed the number.

"Hello?" asked the deep voice on the other end. Halie took a deep breath.
"Harry?" she asked, just to make sure.
"Halie?" She almost stopped breathing when he said her name.
"Yep, it's Halie."
"How are you, love?" he asked. Halie could barely contain herself. Before she could answer though she heard someone speaking in the background. "Oh shut up Louis. I'm on the phone."

Halie thought it might've been a good time to ask about his band but she decided not to. She had only just met him, she didn't want to scare him away.

"Oh you're with Louis? I can call back," she said.
"Oh no, no need for that. We live together, it's not a problem," Harry quickly retorted.
Halie let out a chuckle and said, "so I have a question."
"Anything," he said.
"When are you going to give me that tour?"
