Cardio

Savannah's POV:
The next day....
10am

Be-beep my pager rang. 'I have to go, I'll check on you later' I walked out of Will's room. 'Savannah' he called after me. 'Yeah' I turned back around. 'Come back straight after alright' he smiled. 'Ohkay' I chuckled a bit confused on why he was so demanding for me to get back to him.

Knock, knock. 'Come in' Dr.Cohen yelled from inside the conference room. 'Yes Ma'am, you paged?' I took a seat next to my superior on the table. She intertwined her fingers and placed her hand on the table. 'Congratulations Savannah' she smiled at me. 'Huh?' I creased my eyebrow. 'You got it. Your the new Head of Cardio surgery' she took my left hand.

I covered my mouth with my other hand, in shocked. 'Are you sure?' I seeked her confirmation.'100 percent' she nodded. 'I know that I'll be leaving the Cardio department in good hands' she smiled in reassurance. 'Thank you, thank you so much. I won't let you down' I flashed her a smiled. 'Well, come on. You have to be introduced' she got up from her seat and pulled me with her.

When we got to the central ward, she led me up the stairs to the balcony. 'Alright everyone, can I get your attention please' Dr. Cohen announced and hospitals staff gathered around the stairs. 'I would like to introduce to you your new Head of Cardio surgery, Dr.Savannah Avery' she motioned her hands to me. My colleagues from below applauded among there were my two best friends who clapped endlessly. 'Congratulations sweetie' I heard Mum's voice as she approached me from my right. 'Thank you Mum' I hugged her and she swayed me from right to left. 'Proud of you sweetie' Dad gave me a kiss on lip while Mum still had her arms around me. 'There's one more thing we need to do' Dr. Cohen told me. 'Sure, can we visit Will just quickly?' I asked and she nodded. We walked down the stairs and headed for Will's room. Dr.Cohen stayed outside while I went in. 'Congratulations' Will sat up on his head. 'Thanks' I smiled as I walked up to him. 'Well one of us HAD to get it eventually' he uttered and I chuckled at his comment. 'You really do deserve it' he reached out for my hands. 'I'm happy for you' he leaned in to hug me and I hugged him back. 'You know, I'm still not calling you my boss' he pulled away and let out a laugh. 'I wasn't expecting you to' I rolled my eyes.

After I left his room, I followed Dr. Cohen as she led the way. We stopped in front of her office door and she placed her hand on the door handle. 'It's all yours' she announced when she opened it. I gasped still shocked that, I had gotten the position and now I had my own office. 'I cleared my things yesterday because I wanted you moved in as soon as I told you the news' she smiled at me. 'Thank you' I hugged her. 'Well I've got a meeting to go to, I'll see you later' she pulled away and smiled. I watched her as she closed the door behind her. I slowly walked up to the table and ran my fingers around it. I walked up to the window and looked out to see the city of London.

I turned back around and gazed my eyes around the room. On the left side of the room was a small kitchen area and a sofa bed and on the other side of the room was a bathroom. My head turned to the door when I heard a knock. 'Come in' I called out, a tad excited but nervous at the same time. My first visitor in my room.

'Hey' I smiled when he walked in the room. 'Congratulations' Harry walked up to me with hands behind him. 'Thank you' I walked towards him. 'This is for you' he took out a bouquet of red roses from behind him. 'What, am I sick patient now?' I chuckled as I accepted the flowers and he laughed at my comment.

'Can I take you out for dinner tonight?' he asked nervously. 'What on Valentine's day?' I laughed nervously. 'If you don't mind' he smiled. I bit my lip, contemplating whether or not to take his offer.

'Sure' I nodded. 'Great, I'll pick you up at your house later' he smiled. 'Sure' I responded and he headed out of the room. I can't believe I just agreed to go out for dinner on Valentines day. I don't do Valentines day. But today was different, I was too happy to say 'No' to anything. I felt like every where I turned there were green lights motioning me to go for it. Because if we keep slowing down or breaking at a red light, Will never get to where were bound for. Just like this new position I got. If I slowed down or took a brake, I would have never gotten here.

7pm






'You look really nice' Harry complimented me as we waited for our food to arrive. 'Thanks, you look nice as well' I returned the compliment. He had taken me out for a private rooftop dinner at one of London's exotic restaurant. 'Did you book the whole place?' I asked as we were the only customers and that was pretty hard to believe since it was Valentines day. 'Yeah' he chuckled. Our food arrived and we began eating.

During dinner we spoke a bit about the band's schedule for the next month. They're doing promotions for they're new album around UK, but they're schedules weren't too hectic for now. He said they wanted to take things a bit slow as they did just finished they're world tour.

After dinner we walked to the edge of the rooftop and gazed around the city of London that was covered with vivid lights. 'I can't believe you still agreed to go out on Valentine's day' Harry spoke.'I can't believe it either. I don't do Valentines day' I chuckled. 'But today I was too happy to resist your offer' I turned to flash him a smile. 'Savannah, you know that I really like you, right?' he spoke softly. Oh no, not this conversation, please let's not delve into this, I spoke inside my head.

'I like how you always look so professional in your uniform; how the stethoscope dangles around your neck and how you clip your pens in your coat pocket and how your pager is attached to the waistband of your scrubs' he expressed.

'I like the way you use long exotic words, that are like tongue twisters, when you talk about medicine or surgery' I let out a small laugh at his comment.

'I like you because your different from previous girls I've dated. The first time we met you didn't throw yourself at me or made a big deal that I'm a celebrity' he confessed.

'You treated me like I was just a normal boy. Something the boys and I like to feel like from time to time, away from the cameras, the spotlight, the pressure, the fame' he explained.

'But if your not ready to give me a chance. Then that's okay' he took a deep breath.

'But I am going to wait.........until you're ready' he took my hands in to his and smiled. I pulled my hands away and took a step back.

'I have a confession to make' I muttered.
