Cardio

Savannah's POV:
The next day....
6pm

'So why exactly are we doing THIS right now, you had all morning to do it?' I asked as Will slowly pushed me around the hospital on a bed. It was his way of getting some 'exercising'; pushing someone around on a gurnery. 'Because the nurses wouldn't let me do it, they think I'm still as soft as a veggie' he replied. 'Well are yah? Because maybe I shouldn't be letting you move around' I turned around as he kept pushing the bed. 'I'm fine' he rolled his eyes. 'Hey don't complain, all you gotta do is lay back and be lazy and enjoy the ride' he pointed out. 'That's true' I chuckled. 'So I heard One Direction came back yesterday, I haven't seen Harry here all day' he started a new topic. 'Neither have I' I replied and he turned the bed to the right. 'Are you planning to go out for Valentines tomorrow?' he asked. 'Mckenzie, I don't do Valentine' I chuckled.

'Wow that's a quiet board' he stopped the bed in front of the O.R board. 'That is a quiet board' I agreed when the board was pretty empty.

'Hey' Will and I turned around to see who it was that greeted us. 'Hey man' Will shook Harry's hand. 'Are you feeling better?' Harry asked. 'Yeah I am, I've got the foremost Cardio surgeon as my doctor 'Will turned to look at me. 'I can't argue with that' Harry chuckled.

'Wow, you guys have an empty board, that's a good thing right' he pointed at the board. Will and I raised our eyebrows at him. 'Okay..?' Harry creased his eyebrows confused by our facial expression. 'Not okay?' he hesitated. 'A quiet board, means trouble. It means no one needs surgery anymore which means everyone's dying and when everyone's dying, there'll be no more patients and when there's no patient, there's no work, no work means no money, no money means the hospital will go bankrupt' Will explained to him the hospital's interpretation of a quiet board. 'In that case, what can I do to get admitted in the hospital?' Harry joked and Will and I laughed. 'Was there anything you needed?' I asked him.

'The boys and I are going out for dinner, I was wondering if you wanted to come?' he asked. 'Niall already took off with Rachel' he added. 'Umm,I think they need me to stay-' I tried to look for an excuse but Will interrupted me 'Of course she would love to' he pushed me off the bed. 'Great' Harry smiled. 'I'll just get my things, I'll meet you downstairs' I told Harry and he left. I turned to face Will, with my arms folded. 'You'll thank me one day' he winked.

Harry's POV:
DING! The elevator door opened and Savannah came out. 'Okay but you have to promise, that if I'm needed back here, you'll drive me back' she insisted. 'Fine' I agreed and we started walking out of the hospital. 'Is something special happening tomorrow?' I asked. 'I mean beside Valentine's day of course' I added. 'Tomorrow is the announcement of who's going to replace the Head of Cardio' she revealed. 'Every Cardio attending has been fighting for this for the last 6 months' she added. 'I'm sure you'll get it' I chuckled. 'Harry don't say that. This is a highly competitive position, there's no guarantee I'll get it' she said. I opened the passenger door for her and went around to the driver's seat.

'We're a bit jealous, Harry got to stay up late with you last night' Louis stated as I started the car. 'Yeah, do you know how jealous we are' Liam asserted. 'He wouldn't stop talking about it' Zayn added. Savannah giggled at their comments. 'When do we get to cut someone up' Louis whinged. 'Or touch a heart' Zayn asked. 'Next time, I'll try get you in' she turned around on her chair to face them. 'YESS!' the boys cheered.

As we continued to drive, a loud wailing noise was approaching from the other side of the road. 'Oh there's an ambulance' Savannah pointed as it drove pass.'I'm not turning back' I chuckled as she turned her head around to the passing vehicle. 'Fine' she groaned. Seconds later, another siren wailed as another ambulance passed us. Soon another one came pass followed by another and another. 'Wait, there's more, I need to go to the hospital' she asserted. 'Savannah, if they really need you they'll page you' I told her.

Be-beep! 'Are you kidding me' I uttered when her pager just beeped.

'They need me' she poked her tongue at me. 'I can't believe I'm turning back' I rolled my eyes and spun the car 180 degrees.
