Cardio

Savannah's POV:
Harry ordered chips and burger for lunch. We sat on the kitchen stool and unwrapped our burgers. He took some fries of the container and placed it inside his burger. I watched him as he took his first bite. 'This is good' he said with food in his mouth. 'You put your fries in your burger as well?' I let out a small laugh. 'Yeah' he nodded and continued to eat. I took some fries and placed them in my burger. It was a habit of mine since I was young and I thought I was the only one who did that, apparently not. I ate my burger while Harry was already half way his. 'So what's the key to being a successful surgeon?' he asked and took a sip of his drink. I waited for my mouth to be empty before I spoke.

'The key to being a successful surgeon is what we we give up; sleep, friends, parties, holidays, a normal life. We sacrifice it all, for the moment when you can legally call yourself a surgeon' I answered then took a bite off my burger. 'Can I ask, why is medicine shrouded in exotic-sounding diseases and unintelligible jargon?' he spoke before finishing the rest of his burger. 'Wow Mr. Styles those are some big words' I chuckled. 'This is what happens when I hang out too much with a doctor or in a hospital' he wiped the crumbs off his mouth. 'What, expand your vocabulary?' I giggled. 'Yup' he took a sip off his drink.

Harry's POV:
In the afternoon we went sat in the lounge and watched T.V. She held onto a bowl of M & M's and picked threw them. 'How come you only eat the brown ones?' I creased my eye brows. 'Cause chocolate is brown, so If I eat the brown one's there's less artificial colours in them cause they are already brown' she explained. 'Your weird' I chuckled and she poked her tongue out. 'Can we watch a movie?' I asked. 'Okay, you pick and I'll go make popcorn' she got up and left. I looked for a movie to watch in the DVD case and picked one out.

Five minutes later Savannah came back with a bowl of popcorn and drinks. She sat on the couch and wrapped a blanket around her knee and placed the popcorn in between us. 'What are we watching?' she asked as I press played on the remote. 'Paranormal activity 2' I smiled at her. 'Nooo' she whinged. 'I hate horror' she pouted. 'Hey you said I can pick' I pointed at her. 'Fine' she gave in. We started eating the popcorn as the movie rolled in.

The suspense was scaring her, that half of the time she covered her face with the blanket. 'Savannah, how could you possibly see what's going on if your covering your eyes' I pulled the blanket off her face. 'I'm scared alright' she confessed. 'It's not even that bad' I chuckled. She took the bowl of popcorn and placed it on her lap. The sound in the movie was crescendo as something big was about to happen. BOOM! The door in the movie slammed. 'AHHH!' Savannah screamed and jumped off the couch. The bowl flew up in the air and the popcorn sprinkled all over me. 'I hate this!' she stood behind the couch. 'Yeah I hate this s well' I got up and tried to get the popcorn off my lap and inside my top. 'Oh my gosh, I'm sorry' she giggled. 'Apology accepted only if you agree to finish the movie' I negotiated. 'Fine' she groaned. We went back on the coach and sat with the same amount of space in between us.

The movie continued and as before Savannah wrapped herself with her blanket. I could tell there was a scary part coming up as the music was building up again. I placed my arm over the couch behind Savannah's back. She bit her lips and cringed back as the suspense was scaring her. I sneakily touched her shoulder and immediately she shuffled right next to me. 'What was that, something just that touch' she claimed with a frightened tone. 'Relax, it was just me' I chuckled. 'Harry' she slapped my arm and move away. 'Or maybe not' I tried to scare her. Immediately she moved back next to me. 'Can we at least share the blanket?' I asked and she pulled some towards my direction. I placed my arm around her, while she clutched on the blanket. Every time there was a scary part she would hide under blanket and lean her head towards me. 'God I love horror films' I thought.

'Is it finish?' she asked as she remained under the blanket. 'Yeah it is' I said. She came up from under the blanket and sighed in relief. 'Well, I better go now. See yah' I smirked and got up. 'Wait' Savannah grabbed my wrist but I didn't turn around. I let out a small laugh, knowing what she was about to ask. 'You can't just leave me, after we just watched that' she asserted. 'Well unless you want me to sleepover' I turned to face her and she let go off my wrist. 'Can you please just stay, until my parents get home' she pleaded. 'Please' she begged.





'Fine' I gave in and sat back on the couch. 'Now, it's my turn to choose a movie' she got up from the couch and picked out a dvd and played the movie. 'Please don't tell me this is a chick flick' I said when she sat back on the couch. 'Its my favourite' she argued. 'A Walk to Remember' I read the title. Savannah took a pillow and placed it on the armchair to lay her head down. She curled up in a ball so her feet wouldn't stretch up to where I was. 'Savannah do you wanna lay down?' I patted my lap. She hesitated for a while but then grabbed her pillow and placed it on my lap. She placed the blanket on top of her and shuffled to get in a comfortable position.

I've never seen the movie before but it was a good flick. 'I wish I could be in two places at one time' Savannah said as the boy took the girl to a state border to fulfil one of the things from her bucket list.I guess I can relate to the movie in some ways. Bad boy meets good girl and falls in love with her.Their different status in society leaves them worlds apart. But he spends more and more time with her and is surprised by the kind of person she is. Afterwards, he tries to get closer to her, but she repeatedly rejects him. It's not until he proves to her that he really loves and cares for her that she finally lets him in to her life.

'Is she going to die?' I asked Savannah and realised that she had fallen asleep. I finished the rest of the movie to see how it ended. The protagonist ended by saying "Love is like a wind, you can't see it but you can feel it". I put the volume down as the credits rolled in.


I played with Savannah's hair and she slept like an angel. My phone rang and I carefully lifted the pillow where her head was and placed it on the couch as I got up. I answered the call and it was Liam calling in to say they'll be at The Grill for dinner. I went back to the couch and sat on the empty space around where her chest way. 'Savannah' I whispered careful not to wake her up. 'Just like Jamie in the movie, I hope you take a risk on me' I stroked her cheek. 'I know it's a big leap of faith, but I hope you give me a chance' I spoke softly. 'Your right, I'm not use to chasing girls. And that's what's making this really hard for me' I muttered. 'I don't know what to do to show you that I am serious about you and that I can commit in a relationship' I admitted. 'Savannah Grace you are a challenge but your worth it' I let out a quiet laugh.

'I'm falling for you and I'm falling fast' I confessed. I leaned down and placed a delicate kiss on her head.

'I love you' I whispered.
