Shattered

My eyelids fluttered open on a hard, yet warm surface, slowly moving up and down.

My head slightly lifted as I realized I was lying on Harry.

Oh God.

How could I? To my own sister.

I looked at his alarm clock on the nightstand. The red letters glowed 12:03. That's right, we got to Harry's around 5:40, not even bothering to open up Chumps. No wonder it was still dark in here. I still had time to get home before Marilyn got suspicious.

All the memories from the past few hours flooded back into my mind. I was a terrible person.

Just as I tried to get off the bed and sneak home, to make this easier for both of us, I couldn't. I could faintly see Harry's face through the dark, but the parts I could see, kept me glued to him.

I couldn't leave. This wasn't some one night stand... Atleast I don't think so.

Yes, I was a bad person for sleeping with my sister's boyfriend, and I will probably sound needy when I say this, but I will say it anyways. I felt like a part of me had died after the night with Chance. Like my soul had left my body and dug it's own grave.

But when I was with Harry, I forget. And for those few moments I see him or talk to him, my soul comes back. It comes back to me and makes me happy again.

I don't think he has any idea how much of an effect he has on me, and I'd be damned if he ever knew. It would probably scare him off.

I studied his face through the dark, happy to be here with him, and sad that I almost left.

His face was angelic as he slept. His nostrils slightly flared with each breath and his sharp jaw line was clearly visible as his head was on its side.

I layed my head back down onto his bare chest, and even though I wasn't tired, I eventually fell asleep to the sound his heartbeat in my ear.

When I woke up yet again, I began to panic as I was all by myself. It was no longer dark in here. Infact, it was bright, as the curtains had been drawn.

I squinted my eyes and crawled out of bed, slipping on his shirt.

" Harry?" I wearily called out as I walked down the hall. I heard and smelled the sound of bacon and eggs frying. I smiled with relief. What did I think happened?

" Yes, Syd?" He looked up from the stove and instantly smiled. I smiled too.

I walked towards him and lazily wrapped my arms around his torso.

" Wacha' makin'?" I asked into his back.

" Your favorite." He smiled. He's right. Eggs and Bacon were my favorite breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

" Yum." I smiled, kissing his back. He only had boxers on.

" How'd you sleep?" He asked as I let go and sat on a bastool. I smiled.

" Good, actually. This is the first night in a long time I didn't have a nightmare about..." I trailed off. Harry smiled. Agh. His smile.

" Good," But then he got serious. " Do you want to talk about last night?" He asked. I immediately shook my head.

" No, no. Not right now."

He nodded, sliding the bacon and two eggs into one plate for me. He understood.

I happily took it and thanked him and I began to eat away.

" I have to admit," he said with a mouthful of egg. " I was scared I would wake up without you next to me." He continued, swallowing it down.

I silently thanked myself for realizing I wanted to stay. I forced a smile.

" I wouldn't have left. You should know that,"

He sighed and I sipped my Apple juice and he drank his orange juice.

He knows my hatred for Orange juice, So he went out of his way to buy apple juice.

In reality, he knows me better than I know me.

" Well, knowing you, you'd be eaten alive by guilt. Then leave." He finished. Yup, he really did know me.

" But I'm here, aren't I?" I smiled. He smirked.

" That's all I could ever want."
