‘’Fine then. I can see your friend over there.’’ He pointed Niall.

What?

He’s playing with me.

‘’I-I don’t have a friend with me right now. It’s just both of us.’’ I awkwardly laughed.

‘’Okay, I don’t see him well, because he’s extremely pale, but it’s a boy.’’

My breathing unexpectedly stopped by his description. He was right, but he could have guessed. He could have said it was a girl and have it wrong. He was just lucky. But he was right.

Just before a turned around and run away, he again grabbed my wrist.

‘’I can see the other side!’’

The words froze me to place. The other side.

He let go my wrist and I turned around slowly, my eyes examining his for a hint of lies in it.

‘’Since when?’’ I asked.

‘’Since… my… uh.’’ He cleared his throat and scratched the back of his neck. ‘’A month ago, when my girlfriend died.’’

So he lost someone close to him, just like me. Except in my case, it has to be two. One wasn’t enough.

‘’Anyway.’’ The guy continued. ‘’When I heard about your abilities, I thought you were insane. I-I’m sorry, but how am I supposed to believe that? It’s only in movies we see tha-‘’

‘’I know, just get to the point.’’ I cut him off. I don’t need another soul on this Earth to repeat I’m insane.

‘’Seriously… I don’t know. Since I’m… like you, I feel like… there’s a connection between us.’’

‘’Excuse me? You don’t even know me! It’s not because we shared something in common means that!’’ Who the hell does he think he is? The only informations he has about me is my name, that his friend is my brother and my glitch.

‘’It’s silly, but I just felt it! I have no clue why! Just… I feel something bad will happen, and I need to be with you, because we could fight it toge-‘’

‘’Do you hear yourself? It’s completely absurd!’’ I laughed.

‘’And you think interacting with death ones is more rational?’’

I sighed heavily: damn he was right. Nothing is more delusional than speaking with lost souls. But I thought, no, I was sure I was the only one. Is there a kind of curse upon certain people?

And what could possibly bad happen? To me? To him? Everything is normal –a weird normality in my case. But, a part in me pushed me to believe him.

‘’You mean…’’ I started, getting nervous. I looked over to Niall who was imploring me to not tell what I was about to say. I connected my mind with his and continued in a telepathic conversation. ‘’He’s maybe referring to the ‘it’.’’

‘’Don’t. For your safety and his.’’ Niall responded.

Yeah, he’s right. Now that I know about the voice, it attacked me. And Zayn saw it… that means his safety could also be none existent. Even if Liam’s friend had my abilities, I can’t inform him about the voice. I can’t put someone else life in danger.

‘’Listen.’’ The guy began. ‘’I know this situation is odd and not regular, but you have to trust me. This past month, when I had a strange feeling something was up, I was always right. And I’m sure this time, I’ll still be correct. I don’t know what are the other powers you have –if there is another ones-, but that’s mine.’’ He pointed at Niall. ‘’He’ll be able to help us too.’’

‘’Dude. I’m dead. How could I be useful?’’ Niall laughed.

‘’Can we have this discussion somewhere else? It’s freaking cold here.’’ I said, my teeth clapping.

The guy nodded and he took from his jeans’ pocket his phone. I understood, and got mine. Even if I wasn’t sure about this whole thing, he is just like me. We were both seeing what people couldn’t. For once, I was no more alone. For once, someone understood what it was like, being different. I had to trust him.

It has been a while!
Let's be honest: I'm more into 'Part of You' than this one.. and it's really hard to write two stories at the same time! But I'll try my best, but I won't be updating as much as I am with 'Part of You'.
So don't be surprise if it's been a month or so I hadn't write here :P
