Life without Niall

Harry pov:

Louis and I are taking a stroll down the beach to meet up sigh the rest of the lads. Brent called us all down here for so e reason. He said it was very important.

" Why do you think he called us down here?" I ask Louis kicking the sand about.

" Has anyone ever told you that you never stop worrying Harry?" He looks up at me and smiles a cute little one.

" If I didn't worry imagine where we would be.. Honestly. The band and everything." Louis just nods his head and stands up.

I lift my head up and meet Liam and zayn.

" Where's Brent?" Zayn looks around.

" He isn't here yet I guess...." I say. We all go to the bench and plop down.

" So how has everything been?" Liam asks Louis and I.

" Well we are buying a house. It's quite big actually." Louis begins.

" A house? Why? Are you guys like a couple hah." Liam laughs. I blush and hide it to the best of my ability.

" Do we look like a couple Liam?" Louis jokes.

" Actually yeah you kinda do. I mean in our presence is larry stylinson after all!" Zayn chokes out and laughter spills from him.

Damn. I havnt seen Zayn this happy in a while.

" Enough about Larry. What about you lads?" Louis asks. Zayn looks shocked we asked. Or surprised. Or maybe he's super excited to tell us.

" Well my wedding is coming up. And I was wondering if... If Liam you could be my best man? And then I wanted you two and Brent to be in my dude line or whatever." He's smiling a bit as he speaks.

" I.. I... I can't." Liam says shortly after. I shoot him a look.

" You can't? Why the hell not Liam!" Louis says with a hint of sass.

I'm shocked Liam declined the offer.

" I... I just can't I mean that was ment to be Nialls spot and I'll feel wrong doing it." He sighs and looks down. Zayn tears up a little bit and looks down.

I dont understand why Liam won't just let Niall go. He knows he can't be at the wedding and zayn is still trying to have the best he can.

" Liam.. Don't be like that. Your hurting yourself. Be the best man." I say putting my hand on his back. He stares at the ground and doesn't say anything more. Finally his head looks up. There are tears in his eyes. I get a wave of grief and I hold it all back.

Liam was still hurt over everything and there was nothing we could do to help. He has to find his own way to cope because we've tried again and again. I hate to do this to him but I have to.

" You need to move on Liam.. I'm sorry." I slide my hand away and look at Louis.

He nods his head.

" it's hard guys. I know it was hard for you guys and all to but it's harder for me. He was like my brother. We were always together, then I don't go to one game and..-" he stops talking as Brent walks up.

" What's going on guys?" He says in a worried tone we all look at each other.

" Nothing I was just informed that I am Zayns best man." Liam smiles and looks over too Zayn who is over took with enjoyment and hugs Liam.

He whispers something I couldn't hear. It was probably a thank you of some sort.

" So. What's the news you wanted to tell us?" I ask. I see his mood change quickly into a happy one.

" Well guys. I was doing a lot of research. And I mean a lot. Like loads." He's cut short.

" Where is this going Brent?" Zayn asks.

" Well I know how you guys never got to say goodbye to Niall before he passed and I decided to help you guys...you know make peace." He stops looking at our faces.

Now I've never been super religious but I have a feeling this will turn into some exorcist shit. I scan there faces and they are yearning to hear more.

" I found a medium in town willing to help you guys make amends with Niall and say your goodbyes. It will make you feel at peace with yourself." He finishes.

" Make peace? Your kidding right. Those don't work." Liam says doubtfully.

" Yeah I mean ghost arnt real." I add.

" No. You guys don't understand. It's not going to summon a ghost. You are just simply going to communicate say what you want and leave. It's not like dealing with demons or anything.." Brent says.

" I dont know. It sounds pretty.." Louis starts.

" Great." I finish his sentence.

" It sounds great. I mean guys think about it. If we made amends maybe we would be happier and more able to accept reality! We might be able to have fun again and go out like we used too." I add on cheerfully.

This didn't sound Like a bad idea. There's no ghosts involved, no demons. No waking up the devil. Simply trying to communicate with out best friend.

The worst that can happen is nothing. He won't communicate.

But ok have to say goodbye. He needs to hear it. It sounds down right crazy even though I'm agreeing but this is what Liam needs... Clarity.
