Those Eyes
Epilogue
Please listen to Breath Me by Sia during this epilogue (on repeat if need be) to get the full effect of this chapter.
“Mate. It’s your turn.” Louis said, shaking my arm.
“Huh?” I asked, shaking my thoughts away.
“It’s your turn to speak.” He said, motioning to the stage.
“Right.” I got up and made my way to the podium at the front of the church. All eyes were on me, but I only felt one pair of eyes looking down on me.
“The problem with loving someone that is so broken is that you think you can fix them, and for a while you think you have, but they can never truly be fixed unless they want to be. Nina is the love of my life, and as much as I wish I could see her beautiful face one more time, hear her intoxicating laugh one more time, or lay eyes upon her hypnotizing smile one more time, I would rather her be in a place where she is at peace. At peace with herself, and all the burdens that conquered her life. Life comes easy to some; while others have to work at it. Nina was lead to believe that she had to work hard at her life, but it was quite the opposite actually. Everything came so easy to Nina. She had the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever known, it was so easy to love Nina, maybe even too easy, but I love her none the less. Her laughter lit up an entire room, if Nina laughed everyone else joined. I wish I was able to show Nina just how much I love her, I’m sure she felt some of it, but if she would have let herself go long enough to feel all the love that every person in her life gave her then she would be here today. I wish she was her with us, but then she wouldn't be at peace like she is now. Her demons are gone, and despite all the secrets she carried with her throughout her life, she never stopped smiling. A smile that hid all from the outside world. She was an amazing singer, but an even better actress.”

You don't have any idea how much your feedback means to me. :) Thank you so much. It makes me happy to see that this story will stay with you. I could have been more descriptive, but I thought that it would take away from the rawness of the story. And I also wanted the readers imagination to flow with my own.
It's perfectly fine that you listened to Skyskraper, I', just happy that you listened to music at all, since it is a big part of the story.
