Finding Georgia Rose

Chapter Three

Georgie and Olivia had been in the TV room of the flat for the last three hours and Georgie was on edge. Here Harry Styles was in her uncle’s flat and he had no idea that she was the girl he met nine months ago at the masquerade ball.

“Why don’t you just go tell him,” Olivia said.

“Yeah because that won’t make me look nuts,” Georgie replied and Olivia rolled her eyes.

“So you’re just going to pretend like nothing happen?” Olivia said.

“Pretty much,” Georgie replied as the movie was playing on the screen, “There is no way in any possible world that a guy like him and a girl like me would ever date.”

“Are you kidding me?” Olivia asked shocked that those words came out of her best friend’s mouth.

“I’m being logical Liv,” Georgie said, “Famous people don’t date not famous people. It’s absolutely crazy.”

“You’re nuts,” Olivia said in an American accent.

“Ha, ha,” I said, “Do you want anything? I’m going to sneak into the kitchen and steal food from the caterers.”

“Get some fancy finger food!” Olivia said, “You’re uncle gets kick arse finger foods.”

“Okay,” Georgie giggled at Olivia’s excitement over food, “You have to watch my back because my uncle is going to kill me if he finds us sneaking extra food in here.”

“Tag team,” Olivia said and both girls giggled at their childishness.

They quietly opened the door to the TV room and looked both ways before they made their way halfway down the hall and ducked into a dark doorway.

“Mate where are you going?” they heard a voice say.

“To find James’ niece,” the voice said, “I have to talk to her.”

“Why?” the second voice said and Georgie immediately slapped her hand over her friend’s mouth before they could be found.

“Because,” the second voice said, “I just do. I don’t have a complete explanation for it.”

“Harry,” the first voice said and both Georgie’s and Olivia’s eyes got wide, “You can’t just go barging in there, you’ll scare the poor girl.”

“You don’t get it Lou,” Harry’s voice said, “I’m not sure but for some weird reason I think she’s the mystery girl. I think she’s the girl I met nine months ago.”

“Harry,” Louis said, “You’re crazy. You’re just so desperate to find her you’re willing to put any girl you find attractive into that category. Now come on let’s get back to the party before
Simon realizes we’ve been gone for too long.”

Olivia and Georgie watched both boys walk past them and Olivia pulled Georgie’s hand off of her mouth.

“I told you Liv,” Georgie said monotone, “Normal people don’t date famous people.”

Georgie then made her way into the kitchen and Olivia just frowned. Olivia knew that Harry and Georgie were going to find each other whether Georgie wanted to or not.
Georgie was in the kitchen quickly and quietly grabbing a giant plate and putting some food on the plate when she heard someone walk in.

“Shh Liv,” Georgie whispered not wanting to get caught, “We’re going to get busted and my uncle is going to kill me.”

“Don’t worry your secret is safe with me,” a raspy voice said and Georgie almost dropped the plate.

Georgie spun around quickly and she was now face to face with Harry.

“Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you,” he said, “Harry Styles.”

“Georgie,” Georgie replied quietly.

“You’re James’ niece right?” he asked and I nodded my head.

“Yeah,” Georgie replied, “Shouldn’t you be at the party?”

“Yeah how come your not?” Harry asked and Georgie quickly spun around and stepped a few paces to her left so she was a bit further away from Harry.

“I’m having a girls’ night,” Georgie replied.

“Haz!” she heard her uncle’s voice, “Where are you?”

“Have fun at the party,” Georgie smiled lightly and grabbed the plate of food and quickly disappeared into the hallway and back to her room.

When Georgie came back to the TV room, Olivia was talking to Niall and Georgie just smiled lightly.

“Georgie!” Olivia smirked, “This is Niall.”

“Hi Niall,” Georgie smiled politely, “I’ll just let you two talk then. I’ll be in my room Liv.”

Georgie then put the food down on the coffee table and quickly disappeared into her room and took a deep breath. Georgie knew one thing for sure, if she was going to keep her secret she was going to have to avoid Harry Styles with everything in her power.
