Finding Georgia Rose

Chapter Ten

The group had been at the club about an hour and Harry could tell Georgie wasn’t having a fun time. She was putting on a fake smile and telling Delilah, Eleanor, Olivia, Perrie, and Sophia she was. Harry and the boys were able to see right through it. Tammy had went home an hour ago complaining of a headache and Harry gladly called a cab for her. Harry then tried to do something to actually make Georgie give a genuine smile. He dialed the number for Grimmy and then waited for him to answer. He answered after the second ring.

“What’s wrong Harry?” Grimmy asked panicked, “Do you need me to come get her? Is she hurt?”

“She kind of is Grimmy,” Harry said, “Why did you say no to her? She really wanted you here.”

“Mate,” Grimmy said, “You know about the breakfast we have tomorrow.”

“Grimmy you didn’t see the hurt in her face after your conversation with her,” Harry said, “She was disappointed and hurt you had said no to her since she’s gone to every club and bar you’ve wanted to go.”

Grimmy sighed into the phone and Harry smiled knowing he had won their battle.

“You’re lucky I was feeling guilty about this earlier and I’m already outside,” Grimmy laughed and Harry just smiled.

“I’ll come find you mate,” Harry said and moved find Grimmy standing at the bar.

He got closer to him and slapped his arm on his shoulder.

“Grimmy!” he said and smiled at him.

“Where is she mate?” Grimmy asked and they turned around and Harry pointed to the booth they had in the VIP section where Georgie was stirring a straw in her drink.

Grimmy threw a thanks over his shoulder and Harry nodded. Harry just wanted to see his best friend to smile.

It had been a week since the club incident and Harry and Georgie were hanging out in Georgie’s room talking about last leg of tour that they were going to have to do in Australia.

“Oh wait,” Georgie grinned, “I have a present for you. I have to go get it out of the TV room.”

She then disappeared and Harry started looking around. After Georgie’s comment to him when they got to the flat complex, Harry’s been trying to do some research about it. Him and Olivia have been talking and he was on the idea that it was her and Georgie that him and Niall I had met at that party. He had been dumped by Tammy saying that he was the worst boyfriend ever and she never understood why he asked her out. He was going through Georgie’s closest when he found the costume that the girl he was looking for was wearing. He had grabbed them and stumbled out of the closet. He put them on the bed and decided to see if he could find something else and his eyes traveled to a photo of her and girl who looked like Olivia from the party on a shelf that he hadn’t noticed until now. He had grabbed it and was looking at it when Georgie came back.

“I found it,” she said holding the wrapped present, “What are you. . .”

“It was you wasn’t it,” he said feeling anger course through him as he held up the photo frame, “You’re Georgia Rose aren’t you!?”

Georgie’s face drained of all color and she looked at the photo frame and the costume that was thrown on her bed and knew she was about to lose the one person she never wanted to lose.

“Yes Harry,” Georgie said but before she could say anything else Harry cut her off.

“Don’t you dare say let me explain,” Harry said holding up his hand and Georgie could feel the pain already starting to surface because she knew she was going to lose Harry, “How could you Georgie!? Did you just do this to make me feel pain? Let me fall for you at the party and then keep it a secret and become my friend and watch me go on a wild goose chase while you just laughed at me with Olivia!?”

Georgie was about respond but Harry just cut her off.

“I don’t know whose worse,” Harry said shaking his head, “The girl who lied to me about being Georgia Rose or the real Georgia Rose who pretended to be my friend to watch me get it broken.”

Georgie watched as Harry stormed out of the flat and she flinched when she heard the door slam shut. Once she knew he was gone, she slowly let all the tears that her now broken heart had.

It had been two weeks since Harry had spoken to Georgie and she was a complete mess. She had broken up with Grimmy, who was an absolute sweetheart about it and completely understood. He however was completely pissed at Harry. Georgie had sent multiple texts and emails to him wanting to explain everything to him but he never replied to any of them so Georgie just went to work and wallowed in her self-pity at home.

Today she had the day off and she was eating her feelings through many pints of ice cream and every type of junk food galore. She was home alone since Olivia was in Australia with Niall and Georgie was completely grateful for that because it meant that Olivia wouldn’t drag her out to try and get her mind off of everything. She was also grateful because the boys wouldn’t try to help her either. She had ignored their calls and a lot of Olivia’s calls. However today she answered Olivia’s call and tried to hide how depressed she was.

“Georgie how long have you been on that couch?” Olivia asked after ten minutes of her trying to dance around the many questions Olivia had asked her about the break up with Grimmy and how she stood with Harry storming out of the flat three days before they left for Australia.

Georgie sighed running her hands through her greasy hands.

“Two days since I have the rest of the week off,” Georgie sighed, “And I don’t plan on leaving this place anytime soon. There’s no point. I’m just better off hiding from the world like I have before this. Besides I did this to myself. I should’ve just told him about everything the minute we started hanging out. God I was so stupid.”

“Georgie. . .” Olivia said completely worried because she knew Georgie was never like this.

“Is he moving on?” she asked quietly as she heard the boys’ voices on the other end and female voices, “And don’t lie to me Liv.”

“He’s being stupid,” Olivia giving her honest opinion.

“Are you on the phone with that bitch?” she heard Harry’s voice ask coldly and Georgie’s heart completely broke and she held her tears in.

“I’ll let you go Liv,” she whispered.

“Georgie,” Olivia whispered.

“Be safe and have fun,” she whispered and hung up her phone to cry in peace.

Olivia’s POV

As soon as Olivia heard the line went dead, the boys minus Harry could tell she was pissed.
“What the fuck Styles?” Olivia seethed and he stopped flirting with the girl in his lap and gave her an annoyed look.

Olivia grabbed the girl on Harry’s lap by the ear and dragged her out of the room and threw her out.

“Paul take her out of here,” she replied, “She’s not wanted here.”

Paul nodded her head while the girl tried to fight her. Harry was about to protest but when she glared at him he just sat down back on the couch.

“Everyone sit,” she said and all the boys listened and Eleanor and Perrie smirked slightly, “Now I’m going to say things one person isn’t going to like but guess what? Get the fuck over it.”

“She’s been hanging out with Georgie a long time,” Liam muttered and Olivia looked at him and he shut up.

“Now Harry you need to get your head out of your ass and see that Georgie did this because she didn’t want to ruin what you both had before,” Olivia said, “Which was a great friendship. She’s fucking head over heels for you though. Have you known for the past two weeks that she’s broken up with Grimmy and hasn’t left her flat unless to work. She’s a complete mess because you won’t listen to a word she has to say. She’s been calling, texting, and emailing you for weeks because she wants you to understand that she didn’t want to hurt you at all. That was far from her plan. She wanted to protect you from being ridiculed for dating her because she wasn’t pretty enough for you.”

Harry’s face then dropped and Olivia continued.

“But maybe she was right,” Olivia shook her head, “Maybe she should just accept the fact that she’ll never get to tell you how she truly feels about you.”

Olivia then left the room in silence as she started dialing Georgie’s phone number.
