Finding Georgia Rose

Chapter Eleven

It’s been months since Georgie and Harry had talked and Georgie had slowly picked herself up and fixed herself, or so she told herself. Olivia had tried to get Georgie to go out with the boys but she always kindly declined and said she didn’t want to make things weird for the boys and their girlfriends. She still kept in touch with Perrie, Eleanor, and Sophia but she focused mostly on her career at Radio 1. She was doing something for Grimmy when she heard his voice.

“So I have a proposition for you,” Grimmy said crossing his arms over his chest.

“Forget it,” she laughed, “I’m not setting you up with any interns. They’re way too young for you.”
Grimmy just laughed as she handed him his coffee and he shook his head.

“You know how I’m your boss since you’ve got the job as my assistant here,” he said and she rolled her eyes.

“I’m pretty sure I know what my job is Grimmy,” she said and Grimmy shook his head again.

“Well I need you to be my date to this mixer thing,” he said, “I know you hate going out but I seriously need a date and Julianne can’t make it.”

Julianne was Grimmy’s new girlfriend and Georgie absolutely loved her. Julianne and Grimmy went to school together when they were younger and had run into each other at a coffee shop in town. She had even thanked Georgie because according to her, back in high school Grimmy was a wanker and now he was much more gentlemen like.

“Fine,” she sighed, “What time do I have to be ready?”

“I’ll pick you up at seven,” Grimmy grinned, “And if you want I’ll make sure you get paid for this.”

“Don’t worry about it Grimmy,” Georgie said, “I’ll be ready for you by then.”

Georgie was sitting in Grimmy’s car and she was looking out the window.

“You do know. . .” Grimmy started trying to break the silence.

“Harry’s going to be there?” she asked, “Yeah I know. My uncle was saying that they were forcing the boys to go because Harry rarely goes out to things anymore.”

“Do you think you’ll be okay?” he asked.

“I sure hope so,” Georgie sighed looking over at Grimmy, “You think he’ll make a scene?”

“Highly doubt it,” he said, “You ready to get this over with?”

“It’s free food,” Georgie said, “I’m always ready for that.”

Grimmy just laughed and they headed into the building without being stopped. Georgie and

Grimmy both played the politics and said hi to almost everyone they could.

“I’m going to get another drink,” Georgie said and quickly disappeared from Grimmy’s side.

She grabbed her drink from the bartender and then tried to find an empty table in the corner and thought she found one in the corner. She sat down and when she heard a raspy voice she quickly stood up.

“This table is taken love,” she heard Harry’s voice.

“Oh I’m sorry,” Georgie said quickly, “I guess I wasn’t paying attention.”

She then started to walk away until she heard her name.

“Georgie,” Harry’s voice said and she turned around slowly.

“Hey Harry,” she quietly looking down at her drink and then up at him, “You’re looking great.”

“Don’t lie,” Harry smiled lightly, “Lou had to put a ton of makeup to make me look like I get sleep. You’re the one who is looking great.”

Georgie shook her head and laughed lightly.

“I have to cake on makeup too,” she replied and Harry told her to sit down.

“I’m sorry I told you to move,” he said, “I didn’t know it was you. You cut your hair. I like it.”

“You think so?” she asked touching it, “I went short for a change.”

“I really like it,” Harry said smiling at her.

“I like your boys’ new CD,” Georgie smiled lightly, “I think it’s your best one yet.”

“You think so,” Harry said smiling at her.

“I know so,” Georgie smiled, “I have quite a few favorites off of this one.”

“Oh really,” he said.

“Yes really,” Georgie smiled.

“What’s your favorite one?” Harry asked and Georgie just smiled.

“If I told you that Haz it wouldn’t be a surprised,” she said and then her eyes widened catching herself using her favorite nickname for him.

“I’ve missed you Georgie,” Harry said looking her and then at his hands, “I was stupid to walk out and not let you explain and I was even stupider to ignore you for all this month.”

“No I was stupid to not tell you the truth,” Georgie said, “It was never my intention to hurt you Harry. I wanted to. . .”

“You are pretty enough to be on my arm,” Harry said, “Way prettier than any of the girls I’ve dated before.”

Georgie was about to protest but Harry shook his head and moved over next to her.

“Let’s get out of here?” he asked, “Would you go on an impromptu date with me?”

“Of course,” Georgie smiled lightly as Harry grabbed her hand.

“Let’s go then,” Harry said, “I’ll send a text to Grimmy to let him know you left with me.”

Georgie just nodded her head and followed Harry to his Range Rover. They got into his car and Harry started driving to the one place that he knew Georgie would love. When he pulled up into the diner parking lot he watched at Georgie just smiled at him.

“Really?” she asked and Harry grinned.

“Yes really,” he replied.

They walked into the restaurant hand in hand and Georgie was happy that they were at least talking to each other.

“So Georgia Rose,” Harry smiled lightly sitting next to her, “Tell me what’s new in your life.”

That’s how the rest of their time was together. Harry told her about how tour was and how much he missed having her around. He also went into apologizing to Georgie how stupid he was and how he was going to make this up to her every chance he got. Georgie then went into detail about her job and how she was absolutely loving it. She also apologized to Harry for keeping the truth from him for long. She went into the details explaining how she thought that famous people and normal non-famous couldn’t really be together because she thought that he would get bored with her. She also explained how she truly thought that Harry could find someone much prettier than her. With that comment Harry had to scold Georgie for that comment and she blushed. After spending hours at the diner, Harry decided to take her home.

“I don’t want to go home Harry,” Georgie replied quietly, “My uncle isn’t home.”

“Then spend the night at my flat,” he said grabbing her hand and laced their fingers together.

“Okay,” she said without thinking twice.

Harry smiled at her and started the drive to his flat. However on the way to Harry’s flat they had stopped to grab a bottle of Georgie’s favorite wine and then headed onto Harry’s flat. When they got to Harry’s flat, Harry went into his kitchen to grab glasses for the both of him while Georgie went to get both of their favorite movies The Notebook and Love Actually. They put everything on the coffee table and Harry pulled Georgie into his room and gave her sweats. She went to change and so did he when Georgie came out of his bathroom he was completely awe struck. She was even more beautiful in his clothes than in her own.

“Come on let’s go watch those movies,” he said and she smiled lightly at him.
