Harry's POV:

"I'm sorry! I'm fucking sorry, okay? This is it!" Seth screams, grabbing Riley and dangling her over the edge like a rag doll. I start to run after her, but right when she mouthes 'I love you', Seth drops her off of the bridge.

My heart plummets to my stomach when I hear a splash at the bottom. There are no words. There is only a feeling of numbness and I'm frozen in place. She is going to die.

"You fucking bastards!" I hear Nick and Cody scream with sobs, charging towards Seth and Brian. I'm grateful I called them on the way here, because right now I cannot even think. Liam goes back inside our car and calls the police and gives the rest of his attention to Zayn.

Without thinking twice, I sprint towards the end of the bridge and dare to look down. She's there. Her head is peaking out of the water, and God knows she's fighting to stay above but I know she's no strong enough.

"Harry, don't do it!" I hear Liam shout from inside the car. I look back one more time at Nick and Cody on top of Brian and Seth, beating the life out of them. Dixie is having a full on strop in the backseat of the car, panicked and scared.

Thoughtlessly, I slip of my shoes and throw them over my shoulder, and jump as far left as I can down the water. I keep my bottom half as straight as possible and brace myself for the ice cold water that is about to overpower me. I don't care if I die, but I care if she does. I can't live without here, I fucking can't.

When I hit down, I hit hard. Going under into the freezing cold Maywood water is a lot harder than you'd imagine, it's like you can't even move or breathe. I pull my head up from the bitter cold and flail my arms around.

"Riley?!" I scream, pedaling my legs around as fast as I can do stay afloat or bring my body the slightest bit of warmth... so far I'm to no avail. My eyes search around desperately for the beautiful blonde who is drowning in here, praying that she hasn't sunken under during my flight to the cold.

"Harry." I hear a weak whisper come from behind me. When I turn myself around, I find the shell of what was once the girl I loved. Her lips are dark blue and forehead is still bleeding as much as it was when I saw her at the top of the bridge.

"Baby, come here." I whisper, swimming towards her. She wraps both of her arms weakly around my shoulders from behind, almost as if I was giving her a piggyback.

"I'm so cold." She whispers to me, teeth chattering in my ears. I slowly kick my frigid legs towards any form of land, but it's so damn far and I know it won't make it... I have to though, I have to get Riley safe.

"Hold onto me tight, alright love? I'm gonna fix you." I breathe out heavily swimming as hard as I can. I can hear her struggling to breathe.

"I love you Harry. I'm really sorry." She chokes, her grip lessening and lessening the closer we get.

"What?" I ask, and hear her release a big sigh. "Don't say your goodbyes Riley, you're gonna be fine!" I shout taking her hands in mine and putting my face into the death trap cold water and swimming as fast as I can. This is no use. I can hear sirens in the distance and red and blue flashing lights are visible from above, but it's getting harder now.

"I love you so much Harry, I love you so.. much." She coughs out, and I feel her body get heavy behind me. I refuse to turn around and look at her, I can't see her like this. I just keep swimming, swimming faster than I ever have.

"Fuck Riley, don't give up on me!" I scream, kicking as fast as I can. I can't feel the cold anymore, I can only feel the fear of defeat. The fear of getting her to land and finding that she doesn't have a heartbeat. The fear of 'what if she lives?' Her parents could be dead for all I know, I know nothing.

I continue to swim for what feels like forever, and finally get close enough to where I see police men and paramedics ready.

"Just a little further Harry, you can do it!" A cop shouts into a megaphone, encouraging me to continue. I swim weaker, but still strong.

"That's it bro!" I hear Nick shout, also cheering me on. Finally, I bring us close enough where they can pull Riley out of the water.

"Dear God." I hear Cody shudder as Riley's near lifeless body is lifted out of the water. She's purely purple and frosty, truly frozen like snow. I watch from inside the water as they pull her out and strap her onto a gurney with fluids going into her and blankets covering her.

"Harry, take my hand." A man shouts, and I do, being lifted out of the water. When I get out, I collapse to ground and release a few rough coughs. My body is so cold I can feel it shutting down slowly so I can't even imagine what is happening to Riley.

"Get her to the hospital, there isn't much time left." I hear someone shout, and I watch from the ground as Riley is rushed into an ambulance and driven away. I close my eyes lay down on the cold grass. I can hardly catch my breath and my bones are ice, but the tears won't stop flowing. If Riley dies, I will not be able to go on.

"Sir, we need to get you to the hospital as well." Someone nudges me from the ground, but I cannot move. My breathing hitches and the panic takes over. Moments later, it's all black, everything is completely black.

I know this is kinda short but I didn't want to make it too long with all the hospital stuff.....

There will be multiple deaths announced in the next chapter so grab your tissues!

My uncle fell down the driveway this morning and is having surgery tomorrow so I won't be able to update this for a little while cause I will be watching my cousins or at the hospital.
