Face Down
The Kiss
I froze. I stood there in mid-embrace with Harry, looking into the eyes of my enraged boyfriend. Why was he here? That question was pushed to the back of my mind as fear arose within me. What if he comes over here and starts a fight? Then, something happened that I wasn’t expecting…
Aaron walked away.
He headed out the doors of the mall and drove off.
Shit.
That was worse.
I still had to go home to him, and be alone with him after dinner with Mason and Amber…if I even made it to dinner.Being unaware of what would be happening was scaring me even more. I hugged Harry tighter, suppressing a sob. It was getting about dinner time, and I just remembered, Amber had the car.
That’s what he was here for! She called him and told him to come pick me up to take me home, and that’s what he saw.
I pulled back and ended the hug with Harry, trying to hide the fear in my face, and gave him a weak smile. He smiled back at me, and we locked eyes. I saw it coming before it happened, but to my surprise, I did absolutely nothing to stop it.
His soft lips pressed against mine so gently, I could feel almost nothing but the fluttering of butterflies in my stomach and the warm feeling filling up my whole body. This kiss was nothing like the firm, sloppy kisses Aaron gave me, this was delicate, caring, and filled with so much passion, my knees were becoming weak.
I wrapped my arms around his neck, and deepened the kiss. He opened his mouth slightly, and I slid my tongue in. he gasped a little, before he followed suit and slid his tongue into my mouth. My entire body was burning at the sensation this kiss was giving me, and when he finally pulled away, I realized he was supporting all of my weight with one of his arms that was around my waist. I regained my balance and looked at him longingly as the face of my quickly forgotten boyfriend filled my head again. I needed to get home.
“Do you need a ride home?” he asked me, as if reading my mind. I just nodded, still unable to speak.
I am SO dead!
