Harry’s P.O.V
Simon has given me two extra weeks off so I could help Chai through this. The first week she didn’t leave our room at all. At night when she thought I was asleep she would cry herself to sleep. I felt helpless because there was nothing I could do that would make her feel better. Today I woke up to Haleigh crying so I walked to the twins’ room. I picked her up and walked down stairs with her.
“Hi baby girl.” I said as I made her bottle. I set it in warm water so it would warm up. When it was ready I took it and went and sat on the couch with her. She was staring up at me as she drank it. I sat in silence feeding her. I heard someone walk down the stairs and I turned to find Kayla.
“Daddy?” she asked rubbing her eyes.
“Hey bug. I’m on the couch.” I said as she came and sat next to me then laid her head on my lap.
“Why does mummy not like me anymore?” she asked me. Hearing her ask that broke my heart.
“Mummy loves you. What makes you think she doesn’t?” I asked as I placed Haleigh in the bassinet and then pulled Kayla fully onto my lap and looked down at her.
“She doesn’t come see me anymore.” Kayla said looking up at me.
“Mummy has a really bad booboo on her heart and she doesn’t feel good right now.” I said putting it in terms that she would understand.
“Ok daddy. Can we go to the park today?” she asked me as she yawned.
“Yes we can. Why don’t we go back to bed.” I said picking up Haleigh in one arm and picking Kayla up in the other. I walked to the twins’ room first and put Kayla to bed and then I went to Kayla’s room and cuddled with her until she fell asleep. I walked back to my room and heard Chai crying. I climbed into bed and pulled her onto my lap and she cried into my chest.
“It’s ok babe. It will get better.” I said kissing the top of her head.
“No it won’t. You’re only saying that because you got what you wanted from the start.” She said getting off my lap and standing up.
“What do you mean I got what I wanted? I wanted this child as much as you did and I’m just as hurt as you are.” I shouted at her. She flinched then turned and looked at me.
“You wanted me to get rid of it. Now it’s gone. I hope you’re happy.” She said walking out of the room. I heard her slam the door to the guest room. I sighed and flopped onto the bed. The first time she has spoken to me in a week and it ends with us fighting. I stood up and walked down the hall to the guest room where I heard her crying.
“Baby, can I come in?” I asked after lightly knocking. I didn’t get a response so I walked in anyways. “You know I didn’t mean it when I said I didn’t want to the baby. Please talk to me babe.” I said sitting on the bed next her with her back to me.
“Yea I know. I’m sorry.” She said turning and hugging me. I kissed the top of her head then I set my head on hers.
“It’s ok. We need each other more than ever. I’m not leaving you ever.” I said looking down at her.
“Good because I’m not leaving either. It isn’t easy but I don’t want easy I want crazy with you.” She said looking up at me. I smiled down at her.
“So are you coming to the park with Kayla, the twins, and I later?” I asked her. She slowly nodded her head.
“Lets go back to our room and get more sleep.” I said picking her up bridal style.
“Styles put me down!” Chai said as I walked.
“Nope not until we are in the room and in bed.” I said kissing her cheek. She giggled and it felt good to know that I made her happy for a little bit. When we got back to our room I laid her down then climbed in next to her and we were facing each other.
“I love you Harry.” Chai said before cuddling into me.
“I love you too babe.” I said kissing the top of her head. We slept for 2 more hours before the twins began to cry. I felt Chai stir around and then I felt her get up.
“Where are you going?” I asked her.
“To go see my babies. Are you coming?” she asked turning and looking at me, I slowly got out of bed and made my way to her.
“I got little man.” She said running to their room. I laughed and followed her. When I walked in I saw her blowing on Colton’s stomach making him laugh. I went and picked up Haleigh and tickled her. She has a baby version of her mother’s giggle. I smiled down at her then walked over to where Chai was standing with Colton in her arms.
“We have three amazing kids.” I said standing next to her. She looked over and up at me with the first genuine smile I have seen from her in a while.
“We really do.” She said as I wrapped my other arm around her waist as she rested her head on my shoulder.
“Should we get the ready now?” I asked her.
“Lets wait for a little while. Lets go down stairs.” She said taking my hand and holding it as she walked. When we got to Kayla’s room she peaked in and saw that Kayla was still asleep so we left her alone. When we got to the living room I turned on TV and “Law&Order:SVU” was on.
“Yay!” Chai said. She loves this show. I don’t understand how but she does. I got up and got us a blanket then sat down and wrapped it around us.
“Smile.” I said taking my phone out and taking a picture of us.

I sat my phone down and watched TV with Chai. Kayla walked down the stairs and soon joined us.
“Mummy!” she said when she saw Chai. She hugged her and then came and sat in between us.
“Hi bug. What do you want for breakfast?” Chai asked her.
“food.” She said smiling. She has learned from Chai because that is always Chai’s answer when I ask her what she wants to eat.
“Sounds good to me. Harry want to go get us food?” Chai asked me as she and Kayla gave me puppy dog eyes.
“Fine. Us men will go get food.” I said standing up with Colton.
“Mummy is the booboo on your heart better?” Kayla asked Chai as I walked away.
“Kind of bug, but it’s getting better.” Chai said quietly.
“Little man it’s up to the men of the house to make sure the women are happy and that’s just what we’ll do.” I whispered to Colton. He looked at me and smiled like he understood what I said. I looked in our fridge and saw nothing that we had nothing for breakfast.
“Babe we are out of breakfast food.” I said as I walked into the living room and saw them sitting together and they were cuddling. I took out my phone and took a picture.

I slid my phone into my pocket and sat back down next to Chai. She turned and looked at me.
“Will you go to the grocery store and maybe buy some food?” Chai asked me. I nodded my head.
“I want to go with Daddy” Kayla said looking up at me with puppy dog eyes. I nodded my head.
“I’ll get her dressed while you get dressed.” Chai said. I walked to the Twin’s room and put Colton in his crib then walked to our room so I could take a quick shower and get dressed. When I was done I found Kayla and Chai talking and laughing with each other.
“What would you two be talking about?” I asked scooping Kayla onto my lap. She giggled.
“Nothing Daddy. Can we go now?” Kayla asked looking up at me.
“Sure bug lets go.” I said as Chai and I stood up. I gave Chai a kiss before we left. When we got there it was easy getting in and I was carrying Kayla.
“Can we get ice cream for breakfast?” Kayla asked me. I laughed.
“I’m sorry bug I would like to have ice cream for breakfast but mommy would get mad.” I replied. We walked down an isle when I saw one of my ex’s with a baby. I tried to get out of the isle but she noticed me.
“Hi Harry.” She said smiling at me. I cringed when I heard her say my name. I was still holding Kayla so she hit her face in the crook of my neck.
“Hi Maria.” I said putting a fake smile one.
“How are you?” she asked me.
“I’m good. Just taking care of my little ones.” I replied. There was a flash in her eye and I didn’t like it.
“Funny you said little ones. As you can tell I have a son who is 2.” She said pointing to the boy on her hip. I nodded my head, she smirked before replying. “He is also your son.” She said. Everything stopped. How could this happen? I always used protection with her.
“There is no way he’s mine.” I said.
“Well he is so I expect you to pay child support.” She replied.
“Daddy who are they?” Kayla asked me.
“No one.” I replied and turned back to Maria.
“Hi Kayla. I’m Maria and this is your little brother.” Maria said smirking. I glared at her.
“That’s not my little brother is at home with my sister and mommy.” Kayla replied.
“You have two little brothers.” Maria said. I glared at her.
“Stop speaking to her. We are going to go now.” I said turning around.
“You should be getting the court papers today.” Maria said. I panicked the mail man usually comes around now. I hurried and got in the car and drove back home.
“Daddy who was that and why did she say I have two brothers?” Kayla asked me.
“I don’t know bug. Lets get home so we can go to the park.” I said. When I got home I checked the mail box and saw that the mail wasn’t in it and I panicked again. What if she already got it and opened it? I took Kayla out of her seat and let her run ahead of me to the door. When I walked in I heard Chai playing with the twins in the living room.
“Hey babe. Did you get the mail?” I asked. I knew she could tell something was wrong but she was too worried to ask about it.
“Yea it’s on the table.” She said looking at me. I flipped through the mail and saw an envelope that was bigger than the others. It was addressed form me. My heart began to pound.
“You ok babe?” Chai asked wrapping her arms around my waist from behind. I figured that I should tell her before she finds out some other way.
“Can we talk right now?” I asked her.
“Well the kids are all ready for the park. Could we talk about this while we walk?” She asked me. I shook my head no.
“We could have mum and Robin take them and then meet up with them later.” I said. She nodded her head while I texted mum. She said they would be over in 5 minutes.
“Harry you are worrying me.” Chai said looking up at me. I didn’t answer I just paced. When the doorbell rang Chai left to answer it. When she walked back she said that mum and Robin took the kids. She then sat down. I walked over to her.
“Ummm so I found out that I may or may not have another son.” I said looking at her for a reaction. She didn’t move or say anything. “Babe?” I asked her. She looked up and I saw tears streaming down her face.
“What do you mean?” she asked me while standing up.
“I’m not sure if it’s true or not but I do know it’s not going to change anything between you and I. I love you and only you.” I replied pulling her into a hug. She clung to me and cried. When she was finished she took a step back and wiped her tears away.
“If it is you will be there for that child and so will I.” she said which shocked me. She slightly smiled at me. “Now right now lets go spend the day in the park with the kids that we do know are yours.” Chai said lightly laughing. I pulled her into a hug and kissed her and then we walked to the park. When we got there we saw Robin pushing Kayla on the swings and mum was sitting on a bench pushing the twins’ stroller back and forth.
“Hey mum.” I said as I sat down next to her. She smiled at us.
“Hi Harry. Everything ok now?” She asked me. I looked at Chai and she looked at me with a smile before nodding her head.
“How about you and I push Haleigh and Colton around while Kayla swings?” I suggested to Chai and she agreed. She pushed the stroller while I walked next to her. As we were walking we saw an old couple that looked so cute together.
“That’s going to be us someday.” Chai said looking at the couple also. I pecked her lips and we continued to walk. By the time that we had done a full lap the twins were asleep and Kayla was ready to come home.
“You guys can stay for dinner. Harry’s cooking.” Chai said. I looked at her. She just gave me a really cheesy smile. I just rolled my eyes and smiled.
“Sounds like a plan Stan.” Robin said picking Kayla up. Kayla gave him a confused look.
“Who’s Stan?” she asked crinkling her nose.
“I don’t know who Stan is. It’s just a saying bubba.” Robin replied lightly tapping her nose. We all laughed and walked back home. When we got in the house mum said that we needed to talk.
“Harry what was wrong earlier?” she asked following me into the kitchen.
“Remember Maria?” I asked. By the look on her face I could tell that she did. “Well she claims we have a two year old son together.” I replied running my hands through my hair.
“O my gosh! How did Chai take it?” she asked me seriously worried.
“She said that we will be there for the child.” I said taking out the stuff to make stuffed shells and cheese. It was Chai’s favorite and I figured after finding out that news she deserved it.
“You are so lucky you have her. Others would have left.” Mum said. I nodded my head. We continued to talk while I cooked and then we ate. After mum and Robin left we gave all three kids baths and put them to bed. We then changed into our pajamas and climbed into our bed.
“I love you babe.” I said pulling her into my chest.
“I love you too. We’ll get through this together.” She said before I heard her breathing even out. I kissed the top of her head and slowly feel asleep.
