It was Wednesday already. When we arrived to the school Liam pulled Elena and me to a corner saying that he found some stuff. So we agreed on meeting in the library when the bell rang.

"What's so important then?" Elena whispered making sure no one else in the library could hear her.

"Well I was doing some research on my geography project on weather then I found these" He said pulling out pieces of paper from his bag.

I took all of them and read the titles; 'Frozen River', 'Vanished Lake', 'A Guy Claims He Saw Water Move', 'Lake Changes Consistency'.

"Liam, these are just news on lakes or rivers" I said passing them to Elena.

"They all happened on a full moon Alison, don't you realize they all sound like your powers" He said seriously.

He was right, but how? It was way too weird.

"This doesn't seem right" I said as Elena was playing with the news making us give her a look.

"Yeah I got a bad feeling about this so you gotta stay inside and make your home moon-free" He said as he snapped the news out of Elena's hands.

"I did some research on the full moon too and it'll rise on Wednesday at 18:27. We have to be ready by then" He said looking at a piece of paper.

"Because saying 18:25 or 30 is too mainstream" Elena said mocking him.

"First Elena this is serious. Second that's today!" I said in panic then took a deep breath. "Okay then, sleepover at my place. Elena come over at 6pm. Liam come early to help me?" I asked him friendly.

They both nodded and we left the library to go back to our classes, well except me. I went outside to sit on the grass for a while. It was cloudy but it didn't say rain so I didn't bother. After like 20 minutes, it started pouring down on me. I got up and hid behind some bushes.

"Ew!" I yelled as I fell in a pile of mud.

I called Elena after I cleaned myself with water.

"What?" She whispered.

"Elena, back of the yard now!" I commanded her.

"You know it's raining right?" I could sense the mockery in her tone.

"Yes! I'm outside and you've got to dry me" I said helpless, preventing the rain fall on me, no need to get wetter.

"So you mock me for the moon time but you risk getting caught at the school?" She said mocking me.

"Elena, which class are you in?" I said smiling to myself.

"Uh, history. Why?" She said as I hit the window with a water tentacle.

"Holy-" She said as she hung up and came to the door as quickly as she could.

Then she gestured at the rain. I put my hand up to prevent her from getting wet too and she ran over to me. She first dried the grass around me so she could sit down and started drying me.

"Uh Ali, it's not christmas" She said confusing me.

"What do you mea-" I was saying as I realized I was turning the rain into snow. "Oh my god, sorry" I said putting my hands down quickly.

I was too late as she turned too.

"Oops, sorry again" I said shyly and put my hands up again.

We got back into the building and it was break time already. Then we saw a confused Liam running towards us.

"Guys I was just in math class as it started snowing in the middle of the yard! Snowing!" He said with a bit of anger.

"She did it" I said pointing at Elena.

"Yeah Liam, I mysteriously gained that power too" Elena said rolling her eyes.

"Just be careful next time" He said and left.

"Sure daddy I'll be careful" Elena said mocking him, making me laugh.

The day passed quickly as I slept through all the periods and I quickly went home when it ended. I texted our group saying sleepover at my place and was about to jump in the pool as there was a knock on the door.

"Wow Liam, you're early" I said smiling.

"Oh, sorry. If you want I can leave and come back" He said taking a step back.

"Don't be silly. Come in" I said as I pulled him inside.

He started taking out black cardboard and tapes out of a bag.

"Aren't you exaggerating a bit Liam?" I said as he started covering the windows.

"You can never be too sure" He said as he finished a window and moved to another.

"Fine, I'll be outside swimming if you need me" I said walking towards the backyard. "Well actually don't need me Lili" I said laughing.

I had a good swim and played for water for a while. Then I waited till I was back to normal and went inside.

"Wow Liam, what are the others gonna say about this?" I said as I realized every single window in the living room was sealed.

"We'll just say it's a movie night" He said smiling.

"Okay, okay but where the hell is Elena?!" I freaked out.

"Calm down, she'll be here soon" He said as there was a knock on the door.

It was Louis and Niall. I mocked Louis cause he wasn't home helping but they bought drinks and snacks so I forgave them. Then Zayn came in and Elena was still missing. It was 20 past 6 and I had every rights to be freaking out. Finally the bell rang and it was her.

"Elena where have you been?!" I asked her annoyed but relieved.

"Inside now!" Liam said as I pulled her in and locked the door.

As everyone sat down, I went to the kitchen to make popcorn. I was waiting for the second bowl to be filled up, I noticed that the water in my glass seemed beautiful. I touched it and played with it but didn't turn into a mermaid...
