"You're in big trouble missy!" Louis yelled at me angrily as he held my arm. "No calls, no texts. Well you're grounded"

Who the hell he thought he was?! I turned around to face him with anger.

"Well Louis, you know what you're not my dad!" I yelled before running up to my room.

In seconds Harry came up to my room too. I really didn't wanna be with him.

"What your brother tried to say was we were worried. You're just too secretive" He said as he sat down. "Not like you like me these days but I'm still your friend" He muttered not knowing how I'd react to that.

As I was about to say something, my phone went off. I looked at the called ID and it was Jason, then I saw Harry looking at it too.

"Answer it" He said annoyed.

"I don't want to" I said as I pressed deny.

We just sat in silence for a moment.

"I'm leaving town for a few days" He said looking at his hands.

"Why?" I felt tears coming but I held myself.

"For my sister. I just wanted to let you know" He said getting up. "Goodnight" He said, giving me a kiss on my cheek.

He was just perfect. I wanted to yell his name so he could come back but I couldn't. I just put my head on my pillow and dozed off.

When I woke up I turned on the water to take a shower.

"Shit!" I yelled as I fell down.

I sometimes forgot that I was a mermaid.

"Now how on earth am I gonna get myself in the tub?" I whispered to myself then it hit me.

I pushed myself in with water thanks to my powers. After I dried myself and put on my uniform, I noticed I had a new mail which was from Ms Darbus. It said that we had to meet with her in the auditorium the first period. We arrived to the school early so I just went to the auditorium, sat in the first row to save El and the others a seat. After a while Jesse sat down next to me but I didn't bother as Elena and Zayn came too. Then the boys came and I just gave Louis 'don't even mind' look. Ms Darbus came right on time, as usual, and went up on the stage to get our attention.

"Okay kids! We're doing a musical" She stopped waiting for us to shut up. "And it's High School Musical. I know you think it may be childish but it has enough characters for us and I've already given out the parts" She said taking a list out.

"Please be Gabriella" I said crossing my fingers.

Then we found out Harry was playing Troy so I had to be Gabriella now. Then we found out Liam was Ryan Evans, Zayn was Chad Danforth, Jesse was Zeke and Louis and Niall were two basketball players. When it came to announce the girls, I was literally shaking from excitement. Then Ashley jumped up yelling "Of course I'm Gabriella". Ms Darbus just rolled her eyes.

"Ms Tomlinson, you got the part" She smiled at me.

I was screaming inside and the expression of Ashley was priceless. I quickly thanked Ms Darbus. Elena got Taylor McKessie, thank god I won't be alone, I thought to myself and Ashley got Sharpay Evans.

"Poor Liam" I whispered to Elena making her laugh.

We all agreed to start our rehearsals when Harry comes back to town. When I was in math with Liam he nudged my arm making me jump.

"Alison wake up the class is over" He said laughing.

We took our bags and headed outside to our locker rooms. I changed quickly and went out to the field. The weather was absolutely amazing but while we were doing our warm ups, the sprinklers went on making the drama queen Ashley scream her lungs out. Elena and I just looked at each other and started running inside but I tripped right in front of the door. Thank god Liam pushed me inside and locked the door.

"Are you two okay?" He asked us in concern.

Instead of answering, Elena asked him if anyone saw us leaving.

"Probably not thanks to Ashley but Ali what happened to your wrist?" He asked apparently noticing that I was holding my wrist.

I said it's nothing but he insisted on checking it.

"Aww Liam, you're such a good friend. I fell down too remember?" Elena said sarcastically.

"It's fine, probably sprained. Some ice will make it better" I said smiling, freezing the water around it.

"Wow, I'll never get used to it" Liam said laughing and I agreed.

Then Elena dried us and Liam sighed.

"We need to find something to keep you turning to mermaids in seconds"

"But how?" Elena asked him confused.

"Well I just need a piece of your DNA and I can start making test-" He was saying as I cut him off.

"Not in a million years you're gonna use me as a lab rat Mr" I said turning back and Elena agreed with me.

After PE we were sitting at our lunch table but Liam wasn't with us. Just in the middle of a conversation I started laughing uncontrollably so they all looked at me like I've finally lost it but I was laughing because of Liam. I just put my head behind Louis and continued laughing. I just couldn't believe they didn't see him. I laughed even louder when Elena yelled "fuck you" but Liam ran away quickly.

"You could have told me he was behind me" She said turning to me.

Uh oh. I quickly ran after Liam hoping she wouldn't hit me with something. He was in the biology lab and had these gizmos around him. I just sat down and watched him do stuff I didn't understand as Elena came in. She saw I was worried.

"Don't worry, I'm just here to see what you're doing" She said laughing at me.

"Well first I'm splitting your..." Liam was saying as I zoned out.

"Wait, what? That's like in another language" Elena said cutting him off.

"Yeah english please" I said smiling.

He sighed and said that he was trying to find the mutation or whatever in her DNA. Then the bell rang so I told them that I was gonna sleep in the infirmary but I just ditched school to walk around the city. I found this amazing gym and entered. I was just staring at the pool as two guys came out of a room yelling.

"I quit" One of the guys yelled.

The other one looked flushed.

"Now where am I gonna find a qualified swimmer in 10 minutes?" He said to himself.

"I used to be a competitive swimmer" I lied but 'hey I am half fish aren't I' I smirked to myself.

"Well what about a part time job here? All you have to do is watch them swim and you don't even need to get wet" He said smiling.

"That'd be perfect" I returned the smile.

"Well congratulations-" He stopped.

"Alison" I said happily.

"Well Alison, you have a class soon. You can get the proper outfit from the shop, it's on me" He said smiling and left.

I quickly changed and went to the pool. I introduced myself and started the class. Everything was going great till a kid accidentally splashed me. I panicked and was about to run off as an old woman gave me a towel. I quickly dried my arm and thanked her.

"You have to be more careful Alison" She said glancing over to the pool.

"How do you know my name?" I said weirded out.

"Beware of the full moon Alison. Don't look at the moon's eyes and whatever you do, don't touch water" She said quietly.

"Ali, can we go now?" Someone from my class asked me.

"Oh yeah, class dismissed" I said turning back to that woman. "Moon? Why?" I said but she was gone.

Weird, I thought to myself and changed. I put on my earphones and started jogging towards my house as someone touched my arm making me knee them in the crotch.

"Oh jesus! Ali, it's me" Louis said in pain.

"I'm sorry Louis. I thought you were a raper or something" I said started laughing.

"Sis, you've got a strong knee" He said laughing as he sat down. "I probably need to put some ice on it" He added wincing from the pain.

"Sorry" I said sitting next to him.

"Ali, why did you cut school?" He asked me worried.

"I was bored but I got a new job!" I said in excitement.

"That's great! Where? But please never do that again?" He said with a smile.

"At the gym and I promise" I said hugging him. "Now let's go home before you die in pain" I laughed as I got up.

When we got in, he sat down and I gave him an ice bag. We watched TV for some time then I said goodnight and went to my bed.

I woke up screaming. It was the same nightmare. Then Louis ran into my room with a baseball bat in his hand.

"Ali what's wrong?" He said as he turned on the lights.

"Just a nightmare Louis but really a bat?" I said laughing. "You're gonna save me from someone with a baseball bat or just play a game with them?" I said mocking him.

He was amazing as he made me laugh in a second.

"These come in really handy missy" He said showing off his autographed New York Yankees baseball bat.

"Yeah sure" I said rolling my eyes. "But Louis I'm going back to sleep" I said as he sat on my couch.

Even though I resisted he spent the night in my room, making sure I was okay...
