“I’d say that was a successful,” Harry drawled, as she turned to face Rose, who was cleaning up their dessert plates. “I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the any of the guys having second plates except for Niall.”
“Really? Wow. Niall ate almost every food on the table.”
“We the foods were delicious and he is known for good taste in food.For now on I’d be happy eating nothing but your cooking.”
Mel beamed. She loved it when people ate her food and her new found really did enjoy her cooking. “Yay, and there are lots of leftovers too,” she said as she loaded the dishwasher with the last of their plates.
“Very well, everyone seen happy today and so do we.”
Mel almost asked what he meant by that. But really she knew, they did seem happy together from the outside but they only knew about the tension that is between them when they are alone.
“Yes we do, everyone is starting to think that our hastily married wasn’t about your money, but because we love each other,” she stood up looking straight at him. “And most importantly you’re showing some humanity in you.”
“Yeah, you have helped with that and thank you. Max has a home and Aria has two crazy parents and so many people to love her like we do. All that is because we have something in common and that you, Rose.”
“Yeah well thanks.”
“No thank you for tonight, Rose,” he said softly reaching up to gently touch her cheeks, pushing a strand of hair back behind her ear.
Mel stammered, “Oh. Well. I...”
Harry lowered his lips until they were a breaths away from Rose’s, he whispered softly, “Don’t worry, Rose. I remember my promise. I’ll keep it.”
Mel closed her eyes and breathed wanting so badly to move that short distance and kiss him for real. But she knew what that could lead to. “Thanks Harry,” she said softly.
He pulled away slightly, looking down into her eyes with tenderness. “But, Rose...”
“Yes?”
“That promise was conditional.”
He bent down and kissed her cheek. “See you tomorrow,” as she walked out of the kitchen.

After everything was packed and cleaned, Mel now has one more issue to deal with and that Aria.
Mel walked upstairs towards Aria’s room and noticed that Harry might have left the door slightly opened. Mel walked toward her bed, when she had a gently sob coming from Aria. She switched on the bedside lamp and her heart stopped as she looked into the tearing red eyes.
“Mummy?” she called as I sat her on my lap, trying to calm her down.
“Hey, Ari. Tell mummy what wrong and why are you not talking to daddy?”
“Because daddy made you cry.”
Mel was shocked about the revolution from Aria; she had tried to hide her emotions from her. But she had never thought that her daughter had seen her vulnerable side. Her and Harry had tried to have their disputes in her study or when she is not around.
“Aria, daddy didn’t make me cry, okay,” said Mel trying to Convinced Aria, that Harry never made her cry. Mel didn’t want Aria to think of him as the person who made her mummy cry.
“Yes he did, mummy. Uncle Chase never made Aunty Chloe cry. But daddy made you cry and he’s never home.”
There is the other shock; Aria was now comparing their marriage to Chase and Chloe Sullivan. But Mel knew why Aria was hurt, because Harry was never home and she always spend her days withthe Sullivans, where she would witness Belle and Chase having a father and daughter moments, but she doesn’t have that with Harry whenever we had our arguments.
“Do you miss daddy when he isn’t at home?”
“Yes, mummy,” as stuttered her words.
“Okay let go to daddy room, okay.”
Mel carried Aria into Harry’s room, and his clothes from tonight were on the arm chair, Mel nodded her head to show Aria that if was okay from her to talk to Harry. She quietly crawled on the bed, and jumped on the bed. The images of being in Harry’s room brought lots of memories for her.Every parts of this room screaming out this one night only toward her and it also happened to be that the walls were back on and Harry was scared to be in a real relationship.
Mel was interrupted her Harry’s soft sleepy voice. She walked over toward him, but the bed was calling out to her reaching out to her. She wanted to repeat that night but her main mission was to talk about their daughter. “Aria, you have something to tell daddy.”
“Oh, I’m sorry daddy,” she said looking down at her fingers.
“It okay, sweetie. You’re upset and I understand okay, just next time talk to me,” he whispered, as he gave her a kiss on her forehead.Mel stood by as she watched Harry’s whisper words into Aria’s ears that would make her giggle. It was the perfect site and Mel was happy to witness it.
She was about to leave when Harry grabbed her left hand, she looked at their hands before she looked up in his eyes. His eyes were pleading with her to stay and her mind was saying something different.
“Please, Rose stay?” he pleaded.
“Harry, I’m scared about......”
“I just want us to share this moment please, Rose.”
“Okay,” Mel said, as she climbed under the duvet with Aria lying between them. They were both lying down facing Aria’s, as they watched her fall asleep. Mel told Harry about her little talk with Aria, and how they should work together as a family and less argument.
“I would try to cut down on my travelling,” he said. Mel could tell that Harry would do anything to see this little girl smile.
As Mel closed her eyes, she felt Harry’s lips on his cheek as she kissed her goodnight. Mel returned the favour but she was scared that thing would get out of hands just like that night.
