Mel POV
Mel was at work on Friday when she got a call from her grandmother. She was worried because Aria was staying over at her house because Lucy was sick to baby sit her.
“Gran? Is everything okay? Is it Aria?” Mel asked as she picked up the receiver.
“Aria is doing just fine; she baked cupcakes for her parents.”
“OH, so why the call, Gran?”
“Well I have a good and bad news.”
“Ok so what the bad news?”
“Lillian’s coming home.”
Mel was silent
“Melrose? Are you there?”
“Yes Gran, thanks for the heads-up. Should I stop and pick up a boxing glove or a bottle of wine?”
“I say go with the wine, because she sound nervous on the phone. So surprise her with the wine,” her grandmother advised.
“Does she know that I married Harry?” Mel asked.
“No and she would be waiting for you at your old house.”
Mel put her head in her hand and rubbed her temples between her thumb and fingers. “Thanks for the heads-up Gran,” she said quietly. “I really appreciate it.”
“Call me later. I don’t want to be the one to call your husband to bail you out of jail, because I don’t have enough money and try to not kill each other.”
“I promise I would behave,” said Mel.
“Ok because I would be waiting on your call.”
“So no Bingo tonight?”
“Yeah it got cancelled, and I was excited to show my great granddaughter around.”
“Okay well next time and thanks again Gran.”
“Love you and good luck.”
“Thanks and love you too Gran.”


Hanging up the phone, Mel swivelled in her chair to look out the window. This was going to be an interesting night for her and Lilli, she thought.Mel wanted to see her sister because she missed her younger sister but at the same time they need to hash out this whole Harry Styles drama first. Mel had no illusion that Lilli felt any guilty about walking out on her deal with Harry. Mel wants Lilli to realise that her actions had indeed impacted someone.
As soon as Mel walked in to her old house, she missed the familiar feeling of being home. She knew that Lilli hasn’t arrived yet, so Mel went around opening the windows letting some fresh air in and dusting things off. She was in the kitchen trying to prepare some snacks when she heard a quick knock on the front door, followed by the sound of the door opening. She turned to see her sister, framed in the doorway with a huge smile on her face.
Mel couldn’t help it but smiled.
“Lillian,” she said in relief, glad to see her sister back in good condition.
“Mel,” her sister grinned back to her.

I know this chapter is kinda short but enjoy and stay tuned.
