Mel POV
Everything had changed subtly between them since that night; Mel was more guarded when she talked to Harry, and Harry had gone back to the quiet hard man that she’d first married. He didn’t come home much and spend little time with Aria before she goes to bed. Mel spent more time at work, but often coming home at dinner time and before Aria goes to bed. The attraction between them was out in the open, but neither would act because they are sacred. Mel wasn’t willing to put her emotions on the line for Harry that had none for her.
When Mel knew that Harry would be out of the house, she and Aria where frequently visiting the Sullivans’ resident, where the kids would play and Mel and Chloe would chat about their weeks. Sometime Mel would invite the Sullivan’s over for dinner or movies.With every social event that they both attend pretending to be happy couple or at home playing happy parent, Mel felt like the world’s biggestcon.She hated pretending to be happily married to someone that she barely knows and she was sure that everyone in the room could sense the tension between them. During one of the events, Mel leaned back in her chair and felt Harry’s arm encircle her shoulder. She wore a dress with strapless and a bare back. His warm arm felt good in the chill of room, and she leaned back against him settling into his shoulder. His fingers lightly clasped her upper arm as he gently stroked her skin as they watched people bets on items.
“You feel good,” harry breathed into her ear quietly.

Harry POV
Harry didn’t want to push himself on Rose, who obviously wanted more than sex. He was willing to give her sex and be a good dad to their daughter Aria. When Harry knew that Rose was out of town, he would be the responsible till Aria is asleep in her room. He would go downstairs, poured himself a scotch and settled in the lounge room doing nothing but staring at the TV. They avoided each other, unless at home with Aria around or a social event that they needed to be at. Those evenings were hard for both of them especially Harry, because all he wanted to do was peel Rose out of those dresses she appeared inor at the dining table when Aria is not around. Harry felt Rose shivered at both his words and the feel of his breath on her skin. “You’re keeping me warm,” she replied in returned.
“I’m glad,” he said.
But Harry felt Rose as she tried to pull away from him.
“Shh, people are watching so act normal please.” As he continued to stroke her shoulder as he pulled her back against him.
Harry knew that people would speculate about their relationship, because Rose was not who any of them expected and she was sure that people were watching them. Harry felt Rose leaned back and looked up at him with an adoring smile, he couldn’t help but answered with a huge smile-one that would look natural and loving to the people around them but to Rose he was just pretending.
After they received their coats, harry tucked Rose close in his embrace as they wait for the valet to bring their car. He kissed her lightly on her forehead that caused the paparazzi went wild. Once they were in the car the silence returned and they had little interaction on the way home. When they went home, Rose went straight to check up on Aria while he deal with Lucy and closing the doors before going to his study to check up on his e-mail.
Back in his room; harry thought about Rose request about being able to see other people outside their relationship. But the thought of Rose with someone else was unacceptable. If someone saw her in public, both their reputations and their marriage would be a risk and so would their daughter. He couldn’t imagine any man with Rose and Aria play happy family. Unless he was willing to exposed their marriage as a fraud he either tell a woman the truth about their marriage or resort to running around like a cheating husband, and that was not in his blood. They other alternative was to seduce Rose and she would get attached and the next thing you know, she want to share feeling and plan family.
He was happy with the small family that he had now with her, but he was distracted by the thought of Rose been pregnant with their second child, would it be the mixture of them both together. Harry wondered if he was pushing away the best thing that had happened to him, but then he remembered his childhood and his own father. He realised how like his father he’d become, he wasn’t capable of being a normal guy with a normal life. Three years with Rose, he would have the voting stock options intact and then back to this playboy reputation, back to seeing different women, sleeping with them as he wished. The thought left him cold. He needed to resist his attraction for his own wife.


Mel POV
Mel was sitting in her bedroom, her thoughts were scattered around her mind. All she wanted from his was a seductive word and a slight act of tenderness, and she was drawn to him, but when she looked into his eyes tonight she realised what an amazing actor he was. He felt nothing for her but he was able to convince the whole world that he was in love with his wife. The whole married was exhausting for her and she didn’t think that she would be able to do two more years with Harry.
