Samantha's POV:

After breakfast, Louis awkwardly stood next to me, not knowing what to do. "Um..." he started and then trailed off, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Where do you want to go?" I asked him, walking slowly to the door.

"I don't know," he shrugged and I bit my lip, deep in thought. "Picnic?" he suggested, going to the kitchen.

"Why not?" I followed him, knowing he was obviously going to make a mess. "Okay, we need bread, Nutella..." The list goes on and on.

After Louis got all the supplies, I got a knifebut Louis took it. "Louis!" I said, shocked. "Give me that!"

"I can do it," he whined, giving me his pouty face. "I'm not a little boy."

"You act like one," I laughed, but let him do it anyway. He got some Nutella on the knife and spread it on my cheek. "What the hell!" I exclaimed, and grabbed the whole can.

"That's not fair!" He yelped as I dipped my finger in and swiped it on his face. He dropped the knife and ran in the pantry.

"Louis!" I screeched when he came out with peanut butter, his devious grin only growing wider. "Nutella against peanut butter?!"

"Peanut butter definitely wins," Louis claimed while I shook my head. I didn't like the smell of it, so I climbed on a table to get away from Louis.

"Aww, come here," he said, grabbing my leg. I giggled as I slid down the table, Louis' grip on my leg forcing me to come down. "Fine," I groaned, "get it on me." While he spread peanut butter on me, I put Nutella on him.

"Finished!" I cried, smiling like an idiot. "My masterpiece!"

"At least it tastes good," Louis laughed as he licked all the Nutella of his lips. I wrinkled my nose and went to the sink, washing off all the peanut butter. "You clean up, I'll make the sandwiches," I directed him, chuckling to myself that after all this time, we didn't even make one sandwich.

"Lunchtime!" I beamed as I opened the basket full of food. It was kind of funny that we were on the grass having a picnic in our backyard. I grabbed the Nutella sandwich and took a bite. "Mmm," I exaggerated as Louis cut his sandwich in half.

"Shut up, it's only chocolate between bread," Louis rolled his eyes.

"Good point."

After lunch, I took out the dessert: vanilla cupcakes.

"Okay, now these taste REALLY good," I said as I bit into the cupcake that I had made.

"Of course the chef compliments her own food," Louis teased.

"I swear! They taste delicious," I promised, already finished with my dessert.

"Fine," Louis admitted, taking the final bite. "What now?"

"Pool?" I asked him, smiling all the while.

"Cramps," Louis replied as he laid down on the grass. "And plus, I'm too lazy to get my swimming trunks."

I nodded, laying my head on Louis' stomach. He seemed a bit surprised, but he didn't push me away or anything. He just fiddled with my hair, creating knots that would take forever to get out. "You actually have a decent set of abs," I snickered, poking it.

He made a face. "Guess what?" he asked me, sounding excited. Must be good.

"What?"

"So, I booked tickets somewhere for Emily and I, but since she's with Niall, do you want to come with me? It is Spring Break after all."

"Yes!" I said, my eyes tearing up a little bit. "Thank you so much! But where are we going?"

"Somewhere secret," Louis said with exaggerated mystery in his voice and I giggled with him. And I felt something flutter inside of me, and I actually felt truly happy with him. Something I didn't feel for a long time. And Louis just gave it to me.
